I’m a plus-size outcast forced to marry my tormentor Alpha. I’ve always been despised and mocked. Even my adoptive parents wanted to sell me. But he was the worst. After he took my virginity and rejected me, I was forced to move away. Years later, after I had his secret baby girl, he comes for me to force me into marriage.
I’m considered to be a total loser, but my family has finally found a way to profit off of me. They want to sell me off as a bride. That’s when my old tormentor returns. He sees red and tells me that I’m coming with him instead. It doesn’t matter what I want. It never does.
He takes me back to the pack of my youth. Back to the endless humiliations. I stand beside him as I’m forced to say my vows. I know guys like him. I know what he wants from me. He wants me to serve him. He wants me to be his obedient mate.
He wants to impregnate me. Again.
The Silverrose Wolves are a conservative pack. They claim their mate without apology, without explanation, and without any doubt at all. They already know that they own her, after all.
Ruby lives on a farm with her two daughters and husband. Besides horses, chickens, and a donkey, she sometimes imagines that there are other types of animals on her farm, too... Animals that turn into Very Hot Men at night to look for their mates... Whenever that happens, she turns to her computer and writes down the paranormal love stories of these rough Wolf, Bear, and Dragon shifters who will destroy any obstacle to protect their mate. Come and enjoy the steamy, suspenseful, and slightly sweaty adventures of Ruby's shifter romance world.
This is book one of a new series . The worldbuilding was good. Suspense and mystery , and a well earned HEA. I really liked Flora. She has been abused all her life , not only with the kids growing, including Camden, but also with her parents. She is tough, yet compassionate. I loved how she overcame so much. How she gained her confidence. And of course her love for her daughter was endless. Camden, at first, to me was overcontrolling. He picked the wedding dress, the date, the food, not letting her choose anything. But we learn why he did what he did. So I guess there was a little redemption in there. Little Sophia was charming . And wanted to protect her mother. I loved how Camden and in a way Flora worked to erase the bias of his uncle the alpha. This is a good start to the series. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This was such an interesting read: Flora was not just bullied, she was ostracised by everyone, her adoptive parents included who treated her like a slave. Camden left her not knowing she was pregnant, due to his immaturity I am not sure he would have done any different even if he had known. Now he is back and having seen the world, he can clearly see what is wrong with the pack. Camden and Flora’s story was such a treat to read about, and I was reluctant to put the book down until I had finished. I can happily recommend this book to anyone who love redeemable shifters and strong heroines. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
