it took way too long to find out why that animosity between the school exists 😭 and i also didnt really like how this part was structured with leaving us in the dark while the boys know about it
Okay, why am I liking this? It’s not like this a very surprising development of events regarding the tone of the series so far but I don’t know, I’m kinda vibing with it. The lore of the hatred of the two schools is coming and I also like the two homeroom teachers so maybe it’s not really that surprising that I like it but still.
Okay so first, I need to talk about Tsukada and Toki getting coffee together cause it’s just great and I love that they are able to have a civil conversation. I also love that the author isn’t trying to demonize Toki throughout this and portray her as the villain. The two teachers are essentially the same in their values and the protectiveness over their students and I love that they are both able to recognize this and try to find a solution instead of being hostile to one another.
I also love how the meeting with the boys is going so far cause I think they really are getting under the principal and Toki’s skin. Sure, it’s a little exaggerated that they are resolving years of rivalry with one conversation but I also feel like the author is still keeping that in mind. We are getting several points of view regarding this issue after all, especially with Toki’s story of the incident thrown in.
Anyway, I can’t wait to read how this all went down and how they’re about to resolve everything so I’ll go back to reading. This volume is 5 stars for me though and I hope the next one will be as well.

It’s rare to find a book like 薫る花は凛と咲く 22 [Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku 22] where Saka Mikami so effortlessly connects micro-level personal decisions to macro-level institutional corruption.

im so happy we are doing more with the teachers this is GREAT. both of the home room teachers for both the boys and the girls are great. they care deeply about their students and usagi always gonna run his damn mouth BUT IT ALWAYS WORKS. i love seeing this side of the boys and as always, they are going to break into the hearts of the people they talk to
