I’m tempted to give this 1 star just for the fact that nowhere in the kindle unlimited description does it make this look like anything but a standalone. If you’re writing trilogies and duologies, number them in their own series. If I see “book 4” I’m going to assume it’s an interconnected standalone in a series. not that it is the start of a new series, following a trilogy. Dumb.

Other than the irritation of pushing through this book just to realize it ends on a cliffhanger—this book has plot holes the size of the moon, making the “big surprise” at the end totally implausible.

It started so well and then became one of the worst books I have ever read and now I’m pissed off 😭 why would the author describe this book as a dark stalker romance when it’s neither? Also I hate when a book ends on a cliffhanger and I didn’t know it beforehand, especially when said cliffhanger is awful

There is so much to love about book four in the Crew of Elmwood Public series. Maddox and Mallory’s story has everything that makes a dark high school stalker romance perfect and I don’t think I’ve read one like this before, it had me hooked from the first chapter, I loved the chemistry between Maddox and Mallory since the moment they met and the plot twists were awesome. I love the relationship Mallory has with her mother and then there are the Corvo boys, their relationship is real and won me over in the rest of the series and continue in Mine.

What to expect:
💙 Dark High School Romance
💙 Slow Burn
💙 Escalated Stalking
💙 Inexperienced FMC
💙 Obsession
💙 Touch her and d!e
💙 Sleeps in his clothes

Mine follows on from Kreed and Kaylor’s story but it is not essential to have read theirs before you start this one. I’m looking forward to see how these two work out in rest of the series.

Definitely five stars for me.

“I’d hoped, stupidly, that last night with Hales might have changed something. That maybe if I crossed that line, if I let myself want someone else for once, the hold Kaylor had over my head would finally loosen.
It didn’t.
Standing here, watching her tuck a piece of hair behind her ear like she’d done a thousand times before, my chest still did the same stupid tightening it always did.”

Solid 4 stars (despite the silly little inconsistencies). The spark between the two main characters was very promising. But then, about half way through the bad-ass girl turned pathetic and the super hot guy just started going kind of bland. Things that were mentioned, with the potential to develop further, just disappeared.

The mafia thing didn't seem really serious (more of a tell than show). The twist was easy to guess and the mystery was downright silly. Also there is zero football in this one despite it being mentioned in the blurb. The rating is 18+ but if you're into stalkers, murders, torture, spice, etc., you might be left disappointed.

The further this book dragged the worse it got! Pity because it started with a huge potential to be spectacular...

Another Town, Another Beginning

First of all the shocking start to this story was unexpected but left me intrigued. As it progressed and other characters were introduced it began to blend into something almost intoxicating as it kept me turning the pages. Mallory and Maddox both have some issues but their connection is undeniable, despite their desire to stay away from each other. There are moments from both of these characters that irked me when small revelations were made. Hopefully with the next installment there will be some growth in regards to those things, especially with that cliffhanger.

I am voluntarily leaving this review.

My goodness! Another excellent read!! Mallory and her mom Mara move to Elmwood for a fresh start, away from their dark past. Maddox is drawn to Mallory and hoping she could be the distraction he needs to stop thinking about Kaylor, and it works. For awhile.
The mother daughter relationship before Mallory and Mara gave me dark and twisted Ginny and Georgia vibes, and I love it. The banter is perfection.
Now I just hope we don't have to wait to long to the next book after that cliffhanger.
Be careful starting this book, because once you start reading you aren't going to want to put it down!

Did Not Finish

So no. Maddox is like in love with her brothers gf and wants to use Mallory to get over her? I didn’t like the writing style it felt like the author was trying way too hard to have quirky characters and it wasn’t working. Also I noticed the first three books are all about the same couple and I feel like the next book is also about Maddox and Mallory and that’s not my vibe. I don’t need multiple books for every single couple. I’m not going to rate this because I stopped reading 20% in but it would be like maybe two stars

Was super excited to get into this series as I loved the twins, seeing them interact together more was great and just happy to have more corvo!

Mallory is a great female lead, I like her quirks and just feels like a different take on life then mine so was enjoyable to read.

The premise was also good and I'm interested to see the way the dynamic may change between Mallory and her mum.

Super excited to see where it goes next and just really enjoy this world

Mine is the fourth book in the Crew of Elmwood Public series and the beginning of Mallory and Maddox’s story. What can I say about this book? It was just so outstanding. The characters just immediately drew me in. I was just so in the action with them. The story just had compelling characters that just put this story over the top. I was just totally captivated by everything that was taking place and emotions just went for a ride. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

I didn’t mind this book but I did have problems with it. It definitely didn’t match the advertising. I wouldn’t really consider this dark. Mallory didn’t really have a stalker, and it’s wasn’t Maddox. Also, the serial killer mom plot line was really glossed over. Granted I didn’t read the first three books, but I had no idea what was going on with the gangs or missing girls. I also didn’t like that Maddox had feelings for another girl the entire story.

I love morally gray characters and this was it! 🖤 The start of the book was unexpected but I was curious to see how it all unfolds. I enjoyed Mallory and Maddox, they have their own secrets but they work. The ending, that ending had my jaw on the floor. I cannot wait to read the next book. I have a feeling we’re in for a wild ride.

Mallory is getting to start over in a new town with a chance to make new friends. She is hoping this will be start of something good since it’s her senior year. Maddox is one of the it guys on campus. They meet and a connection is there. Mallory starts to receive messages from someone and Maddox protective instincts kick in. When secrets come out things will never be the same.

Not sure?

I was not a fan of how Maddox is in love with someone else and Mallory was all ok with it. I don’t like how things went in this book as I was a little confused on the reveal of who the stalker was. I will definitely read the next one because this author has a great way of world building and I’m curious how this will play out.

I've been reading a lot of romantasy lately and hadn't felt like reading this genre in a while until I read this book this week. I really enjoyed it. It was just the change I needed. I'm glad I picked it up.

Amazing book

I loved how the book started off with passion and ended with passion too, just a different passion. Mallory and Maddox are amazing opposites and make the story that much stronger. I loved this book.

I loved this book. I don’t know if I read it so fast that it felt more like a short story, but it was really good. I wonder when the next one’s coming out.
