Masters of the Universe: Telling Tales

Prince Adam is attending a gathering.

Hordak, Skeletor’s former mentor, invades with his horde.

Adam is not very appealing, but Skeletor and the other villains are beautifully drawn and colored.

Castle Grayskull; He-Man and Battle Cat. The brainwashing Slime Pit.

King Hiss, brought out from a distant prison dimension…

Very enjoyable. Brings back a lot of memories. 😊

Dungeons & Dragons: Magefall

Zael confronts the evil wizard, Mordenkainen. Bahamut has got her back.

Gorgeous color work, especially with the dragon scenes.

Story is weak, though.

While I have to admit the art in this was pretty fire, both of these stories provided a stark reminder as to why I haven’t gotten too deep into the lore of masters of the universe or dungeons and dragons…that was overwhelming as hell and I had a very hard time pushing through to actually care about any of the random names they were throwing at me in both stories. Although I do find it interesting that I never realized He-man has a secret identity, I just thought everyone knew, lol.

Two stale stories. The He-Man one was all about introducing as many characters as possible over an uninteresting story. The D&D one just kind of bored me.
