I’ve been enjoying Natasha L. Black’s Sinful Mafia Daddies Series. Ruthless Claim is the latest, and I loved how it hooked me from the start. The storyline isn't just about the romance between Alina and Andrei; it’s also a suspenseful plot. That’s what I’ve been liking about this author and the last few books I’ve been reading. It’s not just the spice. There’s a solid mafia plot that's working here.

The Results of Plans and Fate Connect -
The last thing Alina expected on the night of her engagement party was to witness her fiancé’s betrayal, which led to her spending time with Andrei, but night seemed to get worse when she found herself in the middle of a dangerous situation. Even though Andrei was intensely attracted to Alina from the moment he laid eyes on her, he wasn’t prepared to take advantage of her during her painful time, but finding out she was in danger changed everything. Although Alina wasn’t happy with the position she was in, she realised Andrei had her best interests at heart after an explosion at their location made her realise danger.
Andrei took it upon himself to do everything possible to get himself and Alina to safety, which led them into a forced proximity situation. However, Andrei and Alina’s time together wasn’t exactly filled with happy moments, as he tried keeping her at arms length, but his feelings for her kept getting in the way. Unfortunately, just as Andrei agreed to Alina having a bit of freedom to go out in public, she was injured in an attempt on her life, which led to him discovering the secret she had been keeping from him.
Nevertheless, Alina was shocked with Andrew’s reaction to the news, as he changed him mind about their relationship, which led to them agreeing to build a life and family together. This fabulous story was a real page turner from the beginning to the end. The passion, action-packed and tension-filled moments, as well as the twists, secrets and betrayals, made this story a worthy read. If you are looking for your next reading adventure, then look no further than this book.

This is a somewhat twisted tale about a woman in the wrong place at the wrong time. Alina stumbles into an elevator after discovering her fiance cheating on her at their engagement party. Andrei is in that elevator and her actions unwittingly throw her into the middle of an attempt to kill him. In order to protect her, he basically imprisons her. No outside contact. No return to her normal life. No ending to the stress, fear and uncertainty.
Alina is drawn to her dark Bratva boss protector. He doesn't want the distraction of her, but can't resist and one thing leads to another but there's very little tenderness. Nothing for her to expect a real future with him. This convoluted tale, leads me to question the abilities of Andrei's men who can't seem to find the man who is after him. They have them in the sights a few times but he gets away.
This is a five star story until the very end. After good character and story development, the last two chapters feel somewhat rushed and Andrei's emotional turn around in the last chapter feel abrupt. He really should have communicated more. The epilogues are sweet and wrap up the HEA for them.
This is a good Bratva story where the bad guy gets what's coming to him and the innocent yet strong woman gets the happiness she deserves. In turn, the Bratva boss gets his happiness too.

I wasn’t sure how many stars to give this one. It started off great with a really interesting meet cute, Bratva style. But as the book went on, it got disappointing. The bad guy was incredibly obvious, they never talked about who inside the Bratva was the betrayer, and it had as much suspense as rice pudding. I’m giving it 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

Yet here he is trying to blame her for everything. Disappearing to just get the image out of her mind. Fleeing into the lift just as the doors close. Andrei knows the meetings didn't do anything to help his business. But now the heartbroken woman who's just stepped into his left certainly peaks his interest. But Alina knows just who he is, and what he's capable of. Now they are in each other's orbits life really does take its own course. This is a brilliant story that keeps you hooked. Alina knows about the Bratva but is still unaware of just how she's involved. Andrei promises he'll protect her, but can he. Love is a distraction and gives your enemies leverage, he's always said it wasn't for him. However there's just something about her he can't get away from. I loved this story opposites really do attract in this story

After good conversation and almost falling to her charms he sends her home.
When it looks like something else was going to be going down at the party involving weapons, he has his driver bring Alina back to the hotel quickly.
Tensions rise and so does attraction as Andrei keeps her under his protection for the time being.
Nicely written with drama, intrigue, Bratva/family dynamics, surprises, passion, romance, and good characterizations the narrative engages all the way through to it’s HEA and I enjoyed joining in on the journey. Loved the epilogues!.

I really enjoyed this one. Luca is the kind of ruthless mafia boss you expect in this genre, but the story gives him enough depth to make his character interesting instead of just cold and intimidating. Skye was a great match for him. She’s strong, independent, and doesn’t just melt the second he walks into the room.
Their chemistry was intense and the push-and-pull between them kept the story engaging. Some parts of the pacing felt a little uneven, especially when the romance started moving faster than expected, but overall it was still a really entertaining read. If you like mafia romances with a dangerous hero and a heroine who can stand her ground, this one is definitely worth picking up.
Four stars from me. Dark, addictive, and hard to put down.

This story deals with Alina and Andrei's time together as he figures out who is trying to kill him and how Alina copes with her new reality. It is a back and forth of emotions and questions as they spend several weeks looking for answers.
In typical Bratva/Mafia fashion, love is a weakness, so acknowledging it is unnecessary. Alina wants the fairytale wedding with the love of her life and to be loved in return, but she has difficulty seeing that with Andrei. It takes extreme events to get these two on the same page, and when it happens it becomes a beautiful happily ever after.

I really enjoyed Alina and Andrei's story! He's the head of a Russian mafia and she's a caterer who is celebrating her engagement to another man. We open to the party and she finds her fiancé partaking in a waitress during said party. She runs and runs right into Andrei. The chemistry they have isn't quite instant love, but there is definitely some magnetism and the circumstances help to keep them together. I like the flow and the pace of the story. There's twists and some tension which keeps the book moving at a nice clip. The secret pregnancy, age gap, protective MMC and mafia tropes are some of my favorite so when I saw them all together I was all in!
I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mafia age gap romance!.

Ruthless Claim is a suspenseful and well-written story that was hard for me to put down. It was another amazing story from this talented author.
Alina was at her engagement party. She was trying to locate her fiance' and couldn't find him. It turned out that he was cheating on her with a waitress. She was so upset that she hurried out of the room and into the elevator where she finds Andrei. He asks her to join him for a drink in his room which she agrees to. An explosion happens at the hotel. Andrei takes Alina back to his home to keep her safe. The chemistry between them heats up a lot more when they are forced to live together.
I loved the chemistry between Alina and Andrei. Their story was full of action and steam. I look forward to the next story.

I have read this author for a long time. I admit there was more right about this read then wrong. The story stars Alina finds her fiancé with another woman at their engagement party no less and leaves, running straight into Andrei. Andrei is a Bratva boss, uses women for his enjoyment and certainly doesn’t entertain ever getting married or being a faithful husband. The plot and the story hit the mark for me but the flow was missing. I hate it when a story starts one way and loses its lustre. I hate when the story seems to slowww down. Those things missed the mark for me. I’m giving a 4 because I believe in the author and I do hope she realizes how good the story is, just needs some tweaking.

Wowsa this book is a fantastic book that will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end and sitting on the edge of your seat throughout the book. When Alina finds her fiance screwing someone at their engagement party and ends up with mafia don Andrei arms will he be able to keep them both alive after someone is trying to kill them? I couldn't put this book down loved the characters and their chemistry between them. Its compelling and action packed and tantalizing and captivating story that you will definitely fall in love with.

I really enjoyed Alina and Andrei’s story! She’s a caterer celebrating her engagement when she catches her fiancé cheating with a waitress at the party. In shock, she runs straight into Andrei — the powerful head of the Russian mafia.
Their chemistry is magnetic from the start, and the circumstances keep pulling them together. I loved the great pace, twists, and tension. The secret pregnancy, age gap, protective MMC, and mafia tropes are all my favorites, and this book combined them perfectly. Highly recommend!.

This was awesome. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Andrei and Alina. They had their issues but the attraction was there.

Love it! Alina meets Andrei when she is is running from her cheating fiance. The pull is instant for both of them, yet Andrei fights it at every turn. Only Alina has a way of breaking down his walls and making him break each rule he had for himself. I love how the feisty caterer brings the Pakhan to task. There is lots of action suspense and plenty of open door spice. These two have a bumpy journey to their well deserved HEA.

This is a dark Bratva romance with a morally gray alpha male. What I love about this story is the author weaves a compelling story that draws the reader into the world of the Bratva. Where kidnapping, attempted murder and violence are the norm. Alina thought she was getting married until she saw her fiancé with another woman at her engagement party. When attempting to leave there is an attempted murder. The story is suspenseful, with steamy hot chemistry and romance. Happy ever after ending.

Ruthless Claim by Natasha L. Black is the story of Andrei and Alina. Whew!! This one is a doozy!! She is engaged. At her engagement party, she gets a huge shock and meets Andrei. Andrei is immediately captivated!!
The back story here is incredible! A convoluted story filled with danger and intrigue. There are many threats to both their lives and they don’t know where those threats are coming from. So many questions they had…Kind of wrapped up quickly and some of the culprits were never really identified. Nevertheless, this was a great read!!

This was an engaging bratva romance that puts Alina under Pakhan Andrei's protection after finding her fiancé cheating on her and danger rose around them. This gives them the forced proximity time to let the chemistry between them explode. But danger is still swirling around them and she's now keeping a big secret ;) Expect to get caught up in the turbulent emotions, angst, drama, danger, action and hot romance as these two work their way to a fab HEA. I especially loved the epilogues that finish off their story perfectly :D

Breathless is how this book let me. It is action packed and emotional. Alina gets her world turned upside down by the man she is engaged to into the elevator of her future husband. It is steamy and dull of twist a turns. My favorite part is the last of chapter 29. I laughed so hard at Alina reaction to what Andrei orchestrated as southerners say bless his heart. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. The epilogues are priceless.

I like the connection and chemistry between these two, the way they couldn't stay away from each other and the feelings they couldn't turn off. There were twists and turns in this and at times I wasn't completely sure who could be trusted and who could not. They certainly went through a lot, but their connection and their love stood strong so they could get their HEA.
