1 book5 followersHello! My name is J.P. Sims. I live in Central Florida with my wife and two children. I have been writing since I was 16, but at 41, decided to publish my first novel, Three Loves. It was released in March of 2026, has done exceptionally well, and maintains a 4.8-star rating on Amazon and 5-star rating on Barnes and Noble. I would love to be able to make this my full-time career with a large enough catalog of books for people to choose from. I like the idea of visiting conventions and meeting people. I have my second novel, The Muse, coming out in December. I'm currently working on a third novel now called Dark Star, which is a superhero origin story.

Worthy of love…
“This was the love that devastated me in a way I’d never thought possible.”
This is a story about finding love, rejection, heartbreak, and heartache through a coming-of-age story told from a male perspective. The main character, Declan, is around my age, so the pop culture references from his teenage years brought back memories of my own. It’s hard not to remember those early relationships and the excitement of falling in love for the first time and the heartbreak of realizing it isn’t going to work out.
“But admiration isn’t enough when the heart wants more than you can give.”
They say we have three great loves in our lifetime. The first comes when we’re young and often hits the hardest, but it’s the second love that can teach us some of life’s biggest lessons.
This was a heartfelt look at love, loss, and the experiences that shape us as we grow into who we’re meant to become. Have tissues handy for the last few chapters. I absolutely couldn’t help but cry when Declan finds his third love.

A Story that brought my teenage memories back..
I really enjoyed The Three Loves from the very beginning. It felt like I was reliving my teenage days through this beautiful story. ❤️
What I loved most was the strong message behind the book: everyone who comes into your life teaches you something. So, instead of being disheartened by the people who hurt you, take something good from every experience and keep moving forward.And the best part? In the end, you may just find your perfect match, someone like Declan O malley 💕

Reading this coming of age story took me right back to high school. I thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgia I felt throughout and the fact that it took place mostly in Lakeland, which is my home town made it even better. The title of the book tells the plot... navigation through three loves. The author took time and effort to go into deep character development which I appreciated! I definitely recommend if you're into YA, fiction or coming of age stories. This would be perfect in the library of a high school English teacher! In fact, I think I'll order it for my son's teachers classroom bookshelf.

A fun look at the journey all of us make in life and love! JP Sims makes the telling of his tale so very readable, I could not put it down. Though I am from an earlier generation, there were numerous parallels to my own journey! Hats off to JP for his debut!! Balderdash indeed!

Three Loves is a beautifully honest and deeply relatable exploration of love, growing up, heartbreak, and the ways our relationships shape who we become. J.P. Sims does a wonderful job capturing the excitement and uncertainty of falling in love while also showing that some of life's most meaningful lessons come from relationships that don't unfold exactly as we hoped. Declan O'Malley's journey feels authentic because his story isn't simply about finding love it's about finding himself through the people he loves. Each chapter of his life brings a different emotional lesson, and watching his understanding of love mature makes the story especially compelling.
