Well, this was quite good. I got this book back in October, and truthfully I read it one day after getting it, forget the enormous pile of other books. Let me be honest now, I was expecting more, much more from this book. The idea of hosting a Sex party, that’s what intrigued me the most and well the only thing I got from it was the main heroes indulged themselves in passion and that the setting looked exactly like on a movie Sex Lies. Now, let be honest I have no idea about that movie, therefore just hinting the descriptions to it didn’t give me anything, it actually frustrated me a lot. Yes, I love my books when they offer me some kind of description that I can actually imagine.

The book is an erotic romance, however, I wouldn’t really out the romance tag on it. Both character killed the essence of romance without even trying. Believe me, ever though I’m young, I’ve read a great number of erotic romances and unfortunately this one doesn’t top my list of favourites. Pity, because I was waiting for something outstanding when I asked for the reviews copy. But I got a normal book. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it, I finished it in 2 or so hours after starting, however, after finishing the book I had this hollowness inside me that wasn’t filled after reading the book. Daniel and Kathryn are nice characters, though I did question their morals in some pats. They have their faults but together they make an interesting couple, well, their couple-y thing that was only shown was sex and some arguments. Not a lot to form a better imagine in my head.

The book is focused on sex. Yes, all erotic novels are, but this one didn’t see anything other that that. Ad honestly that was driving me nuts. I got excited when there was the near murder scene, but the suspense died before it even was born. Who lays all the cars in the very beginning? Did I say that both characters killed romance? You’ll have to read the book t the end, the while “I love you” and “want to spend eternity with you” is so unromantic I was actually thinking something happened to my romance detector.

But as always, do not solely judge the book by my review, even though I was pointing out the points that I disliked for you they might be the ones you’ll love. It is a nice book to take your mind off everyday problems. Are you ready to meet Kathryn Hazzard and Daniel Hunt? If yes, then what are you waiting for? Grab your copy now, and enjoy it to your fullest. Don’t forget to share your thoughts below. Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

In desperate need of money for repairs to the leaky roof and taxes due on her family home, Kathryn Hazzard finds a lifeline in an opportunity to host an adult party in her family home, for 1 million dollars. An opportunity that comes in the form of drop dead gorgeous Daniel Hunt.

Can Kathryn get out of her head long enough to accept the offer, risking all that she is.. or will she step away and lose the chance of saving Hazzard Hall?

I wasn't really wowed by this book. I also didn't connect with the characters like I thought I would. This book is FLOODED with bedroom scenes in this book..
to the point I actually found my dreading their encounters.
Don't get me wrong, I like a smutty book as much as the next girl... but this book would rate high in the number of scenes together.

Overall the plot (what little there was of it) was good though. I enjoyed the suspense/thriller aspects of the book.

Hazzard Blue, Tabitha A Lane
Genre:  Erotica, Romance.
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Well, after reading so many novels that end up with a second or more part to follow it was great to see this in the description -Hazzard Blue is an erotic romance with no cliff hanger! It’s good to get all of the story rather than in bits
As an erotic novel its certainly hot – very sensual and carnal at times, and the attraction between Kathryn and Daniel was clear from the first glance. The sex scenes were very well written, and fitted perfectly within the plot. I had no problems with that part of the novel – its when the romance and suspense angle came that it didn’t work so well for me. I just felt the two themes can work; do work in some books, but somehow here it didn't for me. I wasn’t convinced of the dangers, and the separation between them – after the closeness they felt I didn’t understand why they didn’t just talk it over...but then there’s be no story eh?
Kathryn, somehow I just didn’t really connect with her ( or Daniel TBH) and I’m not sure why. I like to have an older main character – IMO it doesn't happen enough sadly, but I didn’t really get a sense of her personality, didn’t feel I knew her. Same with Daniel. Usually that comes out in the story via interactions with others, or learning their history, what drives them, but for me I never seemed to see them as real people, and they remained just book characters....and I need to feel the people and events could be real, to empathise with them, to understand why they do what they do, and to laugh and cry with them.
Its a well written novel, and certainly took me by surprise when the person behind the ...problem? ...not sure how to put it –was revealed  but whatever its called, I had no idea That person was to blame! I do like to be surprised, and never saw that coming despite with hindsight seeing the clues. That disconnection between me and the story and characters though made it just a three star good read and not higher. Of course everyone has different tastes and I'm sure this will have its five star fans, it does deserve it with the right reader.

Stars: Three, some really good points, hot sex but I needed a bit more from the main characters.

I received a copy of this book from netgalley for an honest review.

When using started this book, for some reason I thought it was a novella. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a full length novel. The book starts out with Kathryn trying to figure out how she's going to pay taxes on her home, get the roof fixed before it collapsed, and take are of a bunch of smaller, yet still expensive, repairs throughout the manor house that had been in her family for generations. Her best friend comes by to let her know that a billionaire's representative had contacted her to ask about renting the house for one night to recreate the billionaire's favorite movie, that just happened to have a very erotic theme. Kathryn can't quite decide if she wants to rent out her family home for a sex party. She goes to meet the representative, Daniel, to discuss the details of what would happen during the party. When she admits she knows nothing about sex clubs or sex parties, Daniel decides to take her to a very exclusive club in London. From there, their attraction becomes an inferno. The rest of the story revolves around their relationship, the party, things that happen during the party and the consequences from those things.

I thought the writing was quite good, though there were some terms credited to Daniel that were British sayings rather than how an American would say them. But not enough to be upset about. Both main characters have depth and are believable. I would recommend this book to any romance fans that don't mind reading about the intimate side of a relationship, and of course any erotica fans. The story has many elements to keep you on your toes.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this book but I thought I'd give it a try anyway - I'm glad I did because I absolutely loved it! Hazzard Blue has an unusual, interesting plot with plenty of love, lust, intrigue, mystery and some pretty hot sex. This is an excellent debut effort from Tabitha A Lane, and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Kathryn Hazzard owns a huge Manor House - and has a huge tax and repair bill to go with it! When she's offered a big sum of money to hold a debauched party at Hazzard Hall it seems to be the answer to her prayers - but is it worth the possible risk to the reputation she's always worked hard to protect?

I really liked both Kathryn and Daniel. Kathryn works hard to maintain the home that's been in her family for generations, and sacrifices her own life for it. But when the time is right, she really lets her hair down and is a fun, sexy woman. Daniel is absolutely gorgeous, charming, and the kind of character you can't help but fall in love with.

The chemistry between the two is sizzling, with some really hot scenes. The sexual encounters are steamy, sensuous and well written.

I don't want to say too much about the plot as I don't want to give anything anyway. Let's just say something happened that I really wasn't expecting! It really amped up the excitement levels and turned the book in a new direction.

Overall I really enjoyed this well written, exciting, sexy book from a promising new author. Definitely worth five stars!

I have very mixed feelings about this book. Though I don't like it, per se. I don't hate it either. I would say that my reasoning has nothing to do with the author or how she writes. It was more of what was written.

When Kathryn Hazzard's father died. He left her with their stately home......along with all its problems. Needing money and fast. She considers an offer to hold a sex party Daniel Hunt is giving on behalf of his client. But they both get so much more than what they bargained for.

SPOLIER DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK OR DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS

In essence this could be a really good book. It doesn't have a cliff hanger, which this day and age is a God send, it has older main characters, again something we don't see enough of, the storyline is good and there's sex and drama..what more could a girl ask for?!
Well, I'll tell you...characterisation! The first 50% of this book is just 2 strangers having sex. I didn't really get much of a feel for either Daniel or Kathryn.
Another issue for me...I don't understand how Kathryn wasn't concerned by Meg's appearance when the "situation" was revealed. If my best friend was bedraggled and crying during a sex party I'm pretty sure I'd give her a bit more attention than Kathryn gave Meg!
This is a decent read. I can't say I didn't like it, I read it quite quickly, in a couple of sittings, and was, in a way, drawn in but having said that it just fell a bit flat. I hate to say it, but maybe if it was stretched into a series and more time was available for character development, I'd have enjoyed it a bit more.

There is no cliffhanger and this is a standalone novel. Nice change for the erotic/adult romance genre.

Kathryn strapped with the heritage of a large estate home to care for with repairs and taxes piling up is offered a way out; accept an offer from Daniel to rent her house out for one night for a sex party. How could that go wrong...

Kathryn has been careful to keep her life in separate categories; work, home and sex. She has always been careful to not let the different areas collide until now.

Hazzard Blue was a different plot which I enjoyed. It has a bit of everything, lust, mystery and action. Daniel is a hot older alpha male, and who doesn't love that. Kathryn is an interesting character coming from a prestigious family, that has no money left.

Overall an enjoyable read.

This book was a great surprise. It was not at all what I expected after reading the description. Yes the sex party is a part of the story but it is only a small piece. This book is all about Kathryn and Daniel. Neither is looking for a relationship or especially a happily ever after. Fate has a funny way of giving you something you didn't even know you were looking for. Both characters are a little older which is a nice change of pace. There is an instant chemistry from the moment they meet, the sex scenes were very hot and well written(with a great balance between them and the actual story), and the mystery added an additional layer to the story. I flew through the story and can't wait to read her next book Trade.

I received this book for free from Netgalley for an honest review.

I liked Hazzard Blue and thought technically it was well written. The concept and suspense was pretty good. The sex was pretty hot. My issue was really with the characters. I just couldn't connect with them. I felt they were kinda dry and the love was really rushed. This was a pretty fast read and I did enjoy it. Just wish I liked it more.

I do want to add that the whole time I kept picturing the house from Downton Abbey. Not sure if I'm the only one.

The start of the book really built momentum and sexual chemistry between Kathryn and Daniel. However from the 'incident' forward the book just didn't quite work for me. All of the tension and excitement the author had built around the party was promptly quenched which was a particular disappointment give how long the author had spent building up to an evening of debauchery.

One major plus, however, is the fact that Kathryn remains an independent woman throughout and does not lose her backbone as happens in many other books.

Good - excellent - good

This book was an overall good read. It began with a typical woman/man meet and sparks fly. It morphs into an truly excellent who dunnit and who's to blame. This is by far the best part of the book and showed the most promise to takes this from good to great. Unfortunately it then returned to the basic scripted romance. Still good, but had so much potential.

Kathryn is in desperate need of money to save the home she inherited from her father. Daniel gives her an intriguing way to do so. Daniel wants to use her home to host a sex party as he explains more about the party their attraction heats up. I enjoyed the story and the sex scenes are hot. The story held my interest throughout and would recommend to anyone looking for a sexy read.

Decent book but something was missing. The romance felt rushed and a little to instant. The suspense portion of the book had too much OTT melodrama. And there were too many bedroom scenes. I almost skimmed through most of them. It was a pretty decent read but didn't impress me much.

Great start

I read this book after reading an excerpt in a Kitty French book. Apparently this is the first book from the author, I really enjoyed it. Steamy, lots of chemistry and drama. Definitely worth a read for those interested in the genre.
