Cottonmouth, a dark erotica novella by London Beck

If Ginny hadn’t killed the snake, the master’s son might never have noticed her and she wouldn’t be wearing a white dress and working in the nursery at big house. Only, Nathaniel Palliser isn’t the only one who’s seen her, and Ginny’s in a whole lot of trouble…

Scarlet Moon, a dark paranormal erotica novella by Alex Demasi

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review. It contains 2 books both of which were equally fantastic. The first book Cottonmouth took you back in time to when there were slaves and to how they were treated. It was not pretty by any means and this story personifies that. It's funny how a snake can change everything isn't it? In the second story Scarlet Moon an attorney needs to get her lover out of jail. He's charged with murder. She goes through some unspeakable things to help him. There's a twist in this story to that I found to be fantastic. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

Two books in one. Thats awesome just in its self! The first one is Cottonmouth. Its dark and gritty and not pretty at all. Its about slaves and the way they were treated. I felt the storyline was good and the characters were good for the story back in those days. The 2nd book was Scarlet Moon. Good storyline and my first shifter book. A gritty book with some dark spots. About a woman who does what she can to get her lover out of jail and in the process finds out she is a shifter. One crazy journey after that.

This Blood Shade, the third Dark Stirrings book by Alex Demasi and London Beck illustrates how looks can be darkly deceptive and how the choices we make to do the right thing don't always work out the way we'd expect.

In Cotton Mouth by London, Ginny, a plantation worker in Virginia, saves the Master's son from being bitten by a snake, but in doing so lines herself up to gain the attention of somebody else who has no intention of showing one bit of gratitude that she saved his son. Instead she enters the lair of something much worse: lies, deceit, pain and shocking choices when Jackson Palliser demands for her to become his wife's nurse maid.

Ginny's kind nature and will will be tested beyond anything imaginable. Her world as a plantation worker has been a hard life, her family have all been subjected to the Master's forms of control in one way or another but in this dark and haunting tale the true nature of a power hungry, controlling man will be unleashed but will he reign supreme or will nature once again take back control and wreak her vengeance through one who should never be ignored?

Scarlet Moon by Alex, is a dark paranormal tale of the lengths you go to to protect your own at all costs. It is another cautionary tale of how facades can hide the true darkness and nature of people when their consumed with power and greed.

Daciana Black is a lawyer whose determined to get her lover; Zev Wulfric free from Louisiana State Prison, he's being held for a crime he did not commit and staying within those confines much longer is too dangerous for him and the other inmates.
Daciana is willing to use every skill and power at her disposal to free him from there and to "Do what ever it takes" to ensure that result without revealing her secrets.

Moving through the proper channels of police and the court system is not working as all she discovers is lies, corruption, pain and the fuel for revenge at every turn. The more she unravels the more danger she is in as she's lead into an intricately woven dance of power and submission.
"This isn't about justice at all, this - all of this - is about revenge."

With Killian Baron, being a major factor in proceedings as an Official of the Court, Daciana must face one of the biggest challenges of her life yet on behalf of her family. With shocking revelations, bonds of blood tested and trust being pushed to the limit will Daciana rise to the occasion and show her true strength of power or submit to a dark monster from deep in the bayou??

Another gripping addition to this series that with every release is something different and new within the dark erotic genre. One series I can't recommend enough.

I liked the book very dark. I feel like I missed something in the first story. The second story I enjoyed just a bit more. I liked the characters. The stories in both were good. I liked the original ideas in the second story regarding shifters. I liked writing it was hard to pull myself away once I sat down to read this book (I found myself stealing away to read a line or two while I was making dinner). I like dark books I like books that have sex in them, dark or romantic. If you are like me I think you will like these stories.
