This book was a lot of fun. A lot going on. And a lot of character development. Books 1-8 were already available when I started the series, so this was the first book I really had to wait for. It was nice seeing a bunch of the characters again after waiting. Some characters, like the pets, don't have a big roll in this book, but what happened to them is important, and they seem poised to have a big roll in the next book. Can't wait for book 10.
I swear rinoZ is making magic within the pages of this entire action-packed series!!!
I adore Anthony and the Colony! rinoZ is writing magic on these pages, in this entire action-packed adventure series! In this story Anthony, his three monster pets, Tiny, Crinis, Invidia, and his sisters have reached the forth stratum and they've been powering up, fighting through the Monster Wave! Of course the monsters although plentiful find themselves on the loosing side! It's not that they're able to reason this out, they're just monsters after all! And not only is the Colony fighting forth stratum monsters, but fifth stratum monsters are working their way up to the forth! These are even stronger... eventually the Wave finally comes to the end. It's time for Anthony's pets to evolve to tier seven! It turns out that Sarah the Asura Bear, and Vibrant the speedster are also ready to evolve to tier seven too! So while the five of them start their evolution, Anthony goes on a tour. Hopefully making more allies and marketing the crafting Ants creations... the idea being that Monster Ants 🐜 are friendly toward non-monster races, and can make beautiful things too. So climb aboard the Caravan and read the series!
Here's a couple of quotes:
"[And does a true assassin enjoy cake and tea?] I ask. […They do.]"
"He longed. HE LONGED, to enlighten this man as to the True Path, but with great effort, he held his tongue. “Why are you holding your tongue, Father?” “Thno reethon. Ethcuthe me.”
Still one of my favorite ongoing series. Although this had an unfortunate amount of typos, especially in the first half (most look to be fat fingering on the keyboard to an adjacent key, but at least once had an actual number in the middle of a word, which maybe should have been a hyphen?). Anthony and family spend most of this on improving / establishing and economic foothold for the colony. The next book is likely to contain much more action.
Honestly a great book, I like it how unlike other lit rpg the character grows with his peers, and always has a challenge, without having to like become a different cosmic being and losing his core personality that happens a lot in other books, for example in he who fights with monster (great book none the less)
Once again RinoZ weaves a fantastic adventure. This series helped keep me sane when I was living out of my car and I'm immensely grateful to see it continue and the quality of the storytelling to be fantastic. I'm looking forward to the next book.
The series continues to entertain. This book didn't focus on Anthony's expansion so much as world building in the 4th strata. Anthony on tour with a trade delegation to various civilizations. Entertaining!
Absolutely amazing! One of the best books in the entire series by far! And the Church of the Path better watch out! Cause the colony will have our revenge!
