Aisling bears scars that whisper of a past she cannot remember and a destiny she cannot escape. Each mark burns with a hidden power, binding her to a legacy older than the kingdoms themselves.
As visions of war and wings of gold haunt her dreams, Aisling is drawn into a world of ancient magic and buried secrets. To survive, she must uncover her lineage as the last heir of the goddess Danu, master the divine scripts etched into her soul, and decide whether she is meant to save this world… or remake it.
Enemies close in from every side, but the greatest danger may lie within her own heart.
Her scars are not a curse. They are a map. And they may lead to salvation… or ruin.
A sweeping Irish-inspired romantasy of ancient power, fated lovers, and the war between Fae and mortals—perfect for fans of Sara J. Maas and Jennifer L. Armentrout.
A.S. Koutso writes romantasy where love leaves a mark and power always comes at a cost. Drawn to morally grey characters, dangerous devotion, and fated bonds that burn bright, she crafts stories where passion lingers long after the final page.
This book was absolutely captivating😍 I read it in one day cover to cover. I couldn’t put it down I almost called in to work just so I could keep read no joke! I ended up bringing it with me to work and read it on every spare moment I had. The characters I promise will steal you heart the twist and turns in this novel will having you jumping for cover. It’s more then a book on the fae it brings your childhood fantasy’s to life with a steamy 18+ bonus. That we all can enjoy. If I could rate this 10 starts I would. Can’t wait for the next book!
This is a story about a young woman who is trying to find her path, uncover the truth about her past, and make a decision that will shape her future. It’s a big responsibility for her to carry. I enjoyed many of the elements woven into the book. Aisling is a likeable character who genuinely wants to trust the people around her, only to learn that not everyone has her best interests at heart. Watching her gradually uncover her past and regain lost memories is engaging, and her determination to reclaim what was taken from her, and piece her life back together, drives much of the story’s momentum.
What I felt was missing was more space for the characters to grow, along with a deeper understanding of the world and each character’s motivation. The book is on the shorter side, and given the limited amount of pages, only so much could be explored. I found myself wanting more, more depth, more time, more detail to fully immerse myself in the story. In a way, that desire speaks to the potential that’s clearly here.
What I did get was a solid and enjoyable read, one that hints at something larger. And since this is the start of a series, I’m looking forward to seeing that potential unfold in the next installments.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was intrigued when I first heard the plot for this book and once I finally sat down to read it, I couldn't put it down. It was the perfect addition to my weekend and the first book I devoured so quickly in a long time. The adventure this brings you through makes it hard to step away for fear you'll miss out. I honestly can't wait till the next book is out and in print!
This book moved at the perfect pace, it didn’t leave me with questions, it moved so fast, it wasn’t overly descriptive which left me with the perfect image of what happened in my mind. The suspense was so good and the twists and turns at every page had me reading until I had nothing left! It was a fast read but I think I just enjoyed it that much!
I loved how well this book was written. From the first chapter it caught and kept my attention. I enjoyed the strong FMC and was intrigued by the MMC. This book convinced me to read book two!! would recommend this as a great, quick read!
This is the first book I read by this author and it really had me invested on learning why she lost her wings how she was gonna get them back and the day she took a dip Gillian shows up and that’s where the love begins I was scared for ash as well and I really trusted the one that was out to hurt ash can’t wait for another book
This book had the perfect pace to it. I didn’t want to put it down. It flowed very well. It definitely allowed you to picture the book in your mind. It wasn’t overly descriptive and I really liked that.
It did make me think about the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. But felt this book held its own.
The paragraphs and chapters were the right length to allow you to read until the next chapter. I personally hate having to put a book down in the middle for a chapter.
It had great plot and character development. The plot kept you going. I would definitely recommend this book. I’m excited for book 2 to be released.
