An absolute eye opener/ must read!!!
I loved the information this book held. The light this book brings to how easily children are trafficked between countries is crazy. I would have never known about the serious dark times Romania went through. I would have never guessed that communities would band together against one of their own because their exact story didn't line up with theirs. The importance of taking care of yourself first really sticks out in this book. Don't allow yourself to be used and run over. Absolutely question everything. From parents to doctors, find the truth. Find YOUR truth. And don't stop til you're finally sitting with the answers you deserve. Vio, your ten year old self would be so freaking proud of you! I'm proud of you for becoming the amazing woman you are today, even through all the hatred and crap you went through. As ugly as your childhood was, you still turned out to be a beautiful human being Thank you for writing this, and thank you even more for publishing this, too. My eyes are opened wider than they ever have been.

I loved this book - I've followed the author, Viorica, on social media since February 2025. I find her funny and entertaining but with an important message to share. The book was as entertaining as the author but also a fascinating insight into her life as a Romanian adoptee, baby girl taken suddenly from an orphange in Braila to the brights lights of USA without any consideration for her health or mental wellbeing. Lots of sad moments, wtf moments and things that would break the hardest of hearts - probably due to the fact I feel like I know Viorica since we've interacted on social media for a while.

Powerful, strong, sad and real
I have followed Viorica for some time on her Instagram and was waiting for the book to come out. The story is heartbreaking yet strong, full of resilience and important information about the adoptee/ traffickee experience.
Also, coming from Eastern Europe myself and growing up in the West it was interesting to see another perspective of this aspect of the story.
I wish Viorica all the best in her life, nothing short of true happiness, love and joy.

An incredibly powerful book. I’m so sorry for all that the writer has endured, but am I in absolute awe of her resilience and determination. Such a readable book, I could barely put it down
