Kayla Craig's newest book "Our Daily Breath Devotional: 365Prayers and Practices That Whisper Peace in a Shouting World" is exceptionally comforting, encouraging, and peace-filled. I had the privilege of listening to the audiobook (90 day selections) read by the author, as well as reading an advanced review copy of the book. This devotional book is a must read! The focus on God's love and care for His children gave me a sense of calmness and hope for the day ahead. Each devotional includes a scripture and a short story that is either a personal anecdote or a story from another, that reflects the wisdom and love of our Lord. The breath prayers and focus on implementing somatics into our daily routine is foundational in shedding light on the connection between our neurophysiological state and our connection to the Lord, while spending time in mindful prayer and meditation, listening to His guidance for our lives. I really loved this devotional and will share it with many friends and family, as well as in my care ministries groups I am involved in. Thank you to NetGalley and Tyndale House for the advanced review copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I’m very excited to review this beautiful devotional by Kayla Craig. The version that I am reviewing is an audiobook advance copy from NetGalley that is read by the author.
First off Kayla has a very soothing voice and so I loved how calming her voice was while listening to this devotional. As this is a 90 day devotional, it is meant to be a day by day experience but since I am reviewing this, I have sped it up in order to review it. I thought it was beautifully written. It contains prayers, poetry, and scriptures in every devotion. I adored listening to this devotional each day as it felt like listening to a friend encouraging me as I listened to it. I feel like this book was designed for those who deal with anxiety and are struggling to find the right words to say.
What’s different about this book from every other devotional? It has short and intentional prayers designed to be synchronized with your natural breathing (inhaling and exhaling) to calm the nervous system. The only thing I could say negative about this devotional is that it just wasn’t long enough, I wanted even more each day! So if you’re looking for a quick and purposeful devotional this is perfect.
I rated this book 5 stars.
Thank you to the publisher, Tyndale House Audiobooks and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Kayla has done it again. Her books are often reached for during times of questioning, when seeking reassurance, and celebration in our home. This newest one offers more of her breath prayers, along with deeper devotions that stick with you the rest of the day. I have long-loved her bite-sized portions of prayer and theology, and I’m excited to continue using this devotional and recommending it to others!
I was granted an advanced review copy of the book via Kayla Craig and NetGalley.

This book is so much more than just that. It is a breeze that moves through you when things feel stifling. I can think of few holier practices than breathing thoughtfully in the presence of the One Who gives breath. And this book offers help with that connection.
