Gracen’s debut novel truly shines! I loved the twists and turns woven throughout the story, and the character-driven storytelling made it such an enjoyable read from beginning to end.

The pacing felt just right. It moved quickly enough to keep me hooked, but still took the time to slowly build the world bit by bit while expanding on the magic and the characters.

Maree was a wonderful character to follow, and Luken was just as lovable and intriguing in his own way. Their personalities and dynamics added so much heart to the story, and I really enjoyed watching their characters unfold as the plot progressed. I’m also looking forward to seeing how Sterling’s and Ellora’s relationship develops in the future.

I really enjoyed the magic system. It was such a unique concept, and I’m really looking forward to diving even deeper into Maree’s abilities and learning more about how the magic develops in future books.

Overall, this was such an exciting debut, and I’m already looking forward to diving into the next book in the series to see where the story goes next.

Thank you to the author for this ARC! 💜

Forgotten Soul by Gracen Lewis was a book that I've been looking forward to reading for a while now! It's her debut, and let me tell yall, it was everything that I hoped it would be and so much more! Only 2 chapters in, and I was already very invested in the storyline. So much so, that I binge read until after 2 am to finish it. While reading, I was constantly trying to predict where the story was going and ultimately failed. The plot twists!! They were SO GOOD! Every time I thought i knew what was happening... NOPE! The genuine emotional whiplash that this book put me through was insane. I went through every emotion, and it even made me cry. I loved it so much! Maree and the others pulled me in, and I'm rooting for them to succeed. If you enjoy YA, romantasy stories with a touch of angst, then you should read Forgotten Soul!✨️ I, for one, am excited to see what she will do with the next one. 👀

Forgotten Souls by Gracen Lewis had me hooked from the trope list and it did not disappoint. It was such a great read while having an easy to follow world building but also being unique and intriguing.

The plot was filled with twist and turns and a few surprises i did not see coming.
I love our found family (most of the time) and the humor Maree especially had in her inner dialogue “The irony of my situation would be laughable, if I could
feel humor” is just one example and when she was still in denial about that pesky thing called feelings. There was also some moments where tissues was needed.

The pace of the book is very good and i found myself saying just one more chapter more than once, there was some small editing errors that does not influence the story but overall what a great debut novel. I am anxiously sitting on the edge of my chair waiting for book two since that ending was an epic cliffhanger.

This was full of secrets, lies and betrayal. A story that kept me intrigued and excited with a few twists and turns. Expect to be a little heartbroken too.

I enjoyed the world building in this book and the concept of the favored and forgotten souls.

I loved Maree’s gift and how that made her a target. Her character development was not what I was expecting and it was a brilliant surprise.

There were so many great supporting characters too with Sterling, Ellora, Cohl and Luke. It was fun watching their relationships grow as the story progressed.

That ending as well, so emotional and shocking. It has left me eagerly awaiting book 2.

Overall, I rate this 4⭐️ A complete rollercoaster of emotions and I can’t wait to read more.

I normally fly through books and this one was one that I really had to take my time and read a couple of chapters at a time just to soak it all in. I was sooo not ready for this. It pulled at all my heart strings. It beautifully describes everything in such a way you can really visualize what's going on. The characters are all so relatable. I normally can predict plot twists and this one left me shocked, and in tears several times. I already want to read more...I have to know how this story goes on. If this is Gracen's debut series I can only imagine how good her future books will be because this one did not disappoint!

What a fun read!! I love all kinds of romantasy, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint! Gracen did a fantastic job creating a unique magic system, and the story kept me on my toes the whole time. I thought I had the twists figured out more than once--but I was completely wrong.

There’s also a really sweet relationship that develops between two characters that I didn’t see coming, and it ended up being so cute. I’m really hoping we get more of that dynamic in the next book!

If you’re a fan of found family, yearning, high stakes, and relatable FMCs, definitely check this one out :)

Ok I am usually very good at predicting the end, but this one got me. Such a good story line and held my attention. I definitely have to read the second book now though because I’m hooked!

The characters are really great and you can feel each of their personalities come through beautifully. A few really make me mad, but that was their job 😂.

Definitely would recommend to anyone who likes fantasy that is character driven.
