Westerns are just fun to read. It's clear who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, and the good guys (almost) always win. Writer Ron Schwab is adept at telling that wild west story in several different ways, with several different characters. This series, Sandhills Justice, is my favorite of his, mainly because of the lead character, Morgan Fraser. In this episode the reader meets a stranger with amnesia who happens upon a sod farmhouse not knowing what to do or where to go. The story unfolds into a great legal and of course a gunslinging battle. Nameless Stranger is a great chapter in this series.
Really enjoyed, nameless stranger(sandhill justice book 3.. I would sure like to read more of your books… I’m 87, retired and usually buy my books on Amazon for $.99.. I probably got 20 books ahead of me., but I keep running into deals on Facebook.. I jot it down your name., I just have to find that piece of paper looking at westerns..
This has been such a good series and the action continues in Nameless Stranger. Rachel Taylor is a young girl in the Sandhills. She has been running the farm on her own since her parents died. A stranger named Wade shows up. Not his real name but he doesn't remember his past. He does know someone wants him dead. Oddly enough, it is the thugs sent to kill him that give him the start to remembering. When former US Marshal Morg Fraser shows up, he agrees to help with the rest of it.
This one started slow for me, but once Morg got into the picture the book got my interest but then the story took on the trial of why the stranger was there and what he really knew about farming. I was hooked. I loved how the story all came together at the end. The last line is a classic.
I've read all of Ron's books and this ranks as his best yarn yet. The characters are real and the story believable. The romance is fun and Wade/Judd makes a great foil for Rachel.
Schwab's books always grab the reader from the very first paragraph. Nameless Stranger is no exception. Interesting characters and gripping story line. I recommend everything Ron Schwab writes.
Ron Schwab has been a favorite author for years and each new tale is eagerly awaited. Single female farmer takes in a man with no memories and things heat up in many ways.
This one was super. I loved the plot of the book. I stayed on edge, but not uncomfortably. You owe it to yourself to give this one a read. I like thinking of his next one. That is a priority for me.
An excellent read. I like the authors style of writing. All his books are great stories. ...I call page turners. Just can't put the book down until finished. Highly recommend this book as well as his other books.
This has been such an enjoyable book! I loved the characters and storyline. I don’t know if it continues, but if not, I know I will enjoy any of this author’s books!!
Schwab is an exceptional writer. He continues in this book. Very enjoyable, especially for this old Sandhills of Nebraska boy. Well done, you need to read it and enjoy!
