It all started on a plane ride to Italy. The moment Grant Cross sat down beside me for the eight-hour flight. My father’s closest friend. Powerful billionaire. Completely off limits.
We had one amazing night in Italy that was supposed to stay a secret. A mistake we’d never repeat.
Then the pregnancy test turned positive. And the ultrasound revealed something even more shocking. Twins.
Now the scandal of our forbidden relationship is about to explode. My father will be furious. Grant’s family already hates me. The world sees a young woman going after an older man’s money.
But they don’t know the truth. They don’t see the man who holds me when I’m terrified… or the way his hands linger over my growing belly like I’m the most precious thing in the world.
Grant says he’s all in.
But loving my dad’s best friend is a dangerous gamble. And now there’s no going back.
mmm Twins for Dad’s Best Friend was never gonna be literary gold. It delivered some expected fluff. Starts with a vaycay hookup, Emma gives it up to billionaire and Daddy’s bff Grant. The one time thing leads to Emma’s situation. She is trying to manage a start up cosmetics firm and is very insecure, fearing she will turn into her wet noodle mother. Grant has teenage daughter and ex wife issues. Plot felt normal but inconsistent, computer generated character behaviors were annoying and thus I skimmmmmmed. At least Grant is nice and drama does not shy away from totally awkward
Whoever thinks they will get to have a relationship with their much older crush. Well Emma gets to live out this dream with sliver fox Grant. It all came to head with an 8 hour plane ride to Italy and one night that shouldn't be repeated. We'll the test says you're pregnant with the one guy who should have been off limits. Emma's dad is furious with the news. Grant's daughter and ex try to sabotage the relationship. Will it survive or not? Guess you will have to read and find out.
Emma went to italy To learn everything she can about creating fragrances from a master perfumer who's agreed to let her shadow her for a week. At the airplane she met with Grant her father’s best friend who was going in Italy as well for work,The one she had a crush on till she was a teenager . When they landed he offered to take her to her Hotel then he asked if she’d like to go around with him, after meeting with the women that she was going to work with ,she received a massage from Grant to tell her the time when he’s going to pick her up,they went to the restaurant but he tells her that at the hotel were he’s staying is more comfortable ,instead of dinner they went straight to his room, where they passed the night together . When she woke up the day after she regretted what she did and wrote a few words that it’s was a mistake and went out. After a month from that night ,she received a massage from him that for him wasn’t a mistake and he missed her.
A excellent book that I really enjoyed reading, the writing was very much worth reading.
This book had one of my favourite tropes, age gap and to add to that the Dad’s best friend and expecting twins! You know it’s not going to be a smooth ride to HEA with them tropes!
As soon as I started I knew I was going to enjoy this book and I read in 24 hours, I didn’t want to put it down.
Emma and Grant have undeniable chemistry, Grant is divorced with an older child. Emma has grown up seeing how her parent’s relationship is so adds to some of why she is the way she is.
I loved these two together and the epilogue was perfect for these two and their twins!
Did not enjoy the repetitive parts where hero wanted a second chance at a family. How he kept wanting to be more present with his second family, like wow great for you but also sucks for your first family lol. Sure his ex-wife was something else, but still it kinda came off like he was a problem too. Heroine was getting to be a bit annoying, she gave off not like the other girls vibes. Though, I did enjoy everyone's initial reactions to the pregnancy and their relationship, they all had valid view points and comments, it was pretty realistic emotions. Best part of the book I would say.
I wanted this to be good. It could have been but it was insanely repetitive. I read a lot and the list of books I have dnfd is seriously short. This was almost one of them because of how every few pages things were repeated. There were also a lot of contradictions that made me have to constantly go back and recheck that I didn't misunderstand what I had read. With a little work this could be a solid story. The FMC was seriously annoying and whiny. But I sort of expected that early on.
This age gap romance had me from the first page. It is a heartwarming story about a young woman who falls for her father's best friend. It starts with a plane ride to Italy and an intimate encounter that should have only been a one and done but fate has other plans for these two. The drama builds between the families among with an unexpected pregnancy. Will Grant and Emma get their chance for happiness.

This romance book by Alix should come with a WARNING label saying HOT, ADDICTIVE, and did I mention it was HOT. :) The characters are what made this storyline compelling and steamy. I found the storyline to be intriguing and well written. If you have never read anything written by Alix OMG you definitely need Grant and Emma in your life because they have the absolute most amazing chemistry, surprises and romance that curls your toes reading about them.
This was a lovely romance and had great characters, Emma was strong woman who was determined to do everything herself and Grant was in love with her and sometimes tried to help her with his money, which she didn't want. Her father was a nasty piece of work and so was the ex wife. But overall a good story.

I loved Emma and Grant’s story. It’s a quick read, with a fast burn 🔥, surprise pregnancy and a HEA. Grant, tries to avoid repeating past mistakes, while Emma tends to get in her own way, but she eventually realizes her mistakes and grows.
I always enjoy Alix Vaughn's writing because she comes up with such fresh characters and puts them in the most intense situations. Twins For My Dad's Best Friend is a fast pace, steamy, edge of your seat book. I was engrossed within the first chapter and the ending is sweet. You're going to love it!
Emma and Grant. He's her father's best friend, so she should be off-limits and forbidden. But one trip to Italy, one night, one test and then are two!! Add in age gap, scandal, surprise baby news, billionaire and silver fox, for a read that keeps you wanting to stay for the end.

This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved the characters Grant and Emma. Good strong storyline, just the right length and all the emotions you would want and no unnecessary angst! I won’t give away the plot but just to say I recommend this book. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you Alix ❤️
Very good story and fairly low angst. I liked that for once the FMC told the MMC straight away she was pregnant. Yes, Emma had a lot of issues but for once that didn’t stop me from liking her. Loved how all in Grant was from the beginning. Well written with great characters and good steam.
A well written age gap read with a good plot and good characters. Emma falls for her dads best friend Grant and the outcome of their time together is double trouble that no one envisioned. Im not usually a fan of age gaps but this book was romantic and heartwarming plus we get to go to Italy.
There are some life lessons in this lovely book which I really enjoyed. The author, I feel, must have some experience or a great imagination, anyway she knocked it out of the park, a really fun read
This has everything a live story needs. It has forbidden love, spice. It made me laugh and made me cried. The story flowed so well. Don’t pass this love story up!!
