Jenise Carrington writes fantasy romance shaped by devotion, destiny, and the quiet strength of people who refuse to remain small. Her stories are rooted in a deep appreciation for the beauty woven through the world around us—from the hush of ancient forests to the quiet moments that remind us wonder still lives in the everyday.
Her debut novel, A Vow of Steel and Flame, introduces readers to the world of Caerhollan, where ancient magic stirs again and a solitary woman finds herself drawn into a destiny she never sought.
When she isn’t writing, Jenise can often be found seeking out the beauty of the natural world or bringing new ideas to life through creative projects. For her, storytelling is simply one expression of a lifelong instinct to create—to shape meaning, wonder, and possibility from the sparks of imagination.
This was such a cozy, fast paced romance with a fantasy flare. What I loved most was how feminine it felt, but with a definite edge. It balanced softness and strength so beautifully. The perfect pick for romance lovers who are curious about dipping their toes into fantasy. It delivered all the warm fuzzies while weaving in just enough mystery and anticipation to keep me turning the pages.
A Vow of Steel and Flame is a beautifully slow, character-driven romantasy that completely pulled me into its atmosphere.
The pacing is intentional and immersive. You don’t rush through Mira’s story, you experience it piece by piece as she navigates isolation, healing, and the quiet life she’s built for herself. Her character feels incredibly real, shaped by her past but slowly opening to the possibility of something more.
Vale is the perfect contrast to her. An immortal MMC who carries centuries of experience, yet shows up with a calm, steady presence that makes him impossible not to love. Their dynamic builds slowly, but it feels earned every step of the way.
The setting adds so much to the story. The forest, the cottage, the sense of solitude mixed with underlying tension creates a cozy yet slightly haunting atmosphere that keeps you fully invested.
This is a perfect read for anyone looking for a softer, more emotional romantasy with strong character development and a slow burn romance that truly pays off.
A VOW OF STEEL AND FLAME JENISE CARRINGTON DESCRIPTION: Mira has lived on the edges long enough to know the cost peace demands. And Mira is faced with a choice she never the quiet life she fought to build... or the aching, beautiful uncertainty of wanting more. In a land cut off from magic's lifeline, one woman must decide whether she will remain hidden-or step into the fire that has always been calling her name. MY THOUGHTS: I am so grateful that Jenise Carrington was put in my path. JR Cathers sent her my way when she was looking for beta readers, and while I jumped on the Beta read far later than everyone else and didn't actually provide any useful feedback, I now have had the absolute pleasure of being an early arc reader. The evolution of this book has been so beautiful and her 3 REAL beta readers did an amazing job giving feedback and are so lucky to have been part of the early process on this one, because it's just an absolute beauty. There's political intrigue, assassination attempts, an awakening, a lost magic system, drama and conflict... but through it all, there is so much love. I think Vale may be the one MMC I've read in recent years that truly had no red flags. This guy is just a walking, adoring, green flag like no other. And Mira's subtle strength and incredible resilience balanced him out so beautifully. I truly cannot wait for the rest of this series. Jenise also managed to write side characters that i want to grab a coffee with, and would be honored to call friends.
My arc read of A Vow of Steel and Flame review. Hands down a 5⭐️ read! A magical , mysterious, and a slow burn romance that keeps you wanting more and more.
A Vow of Steel and Flame starts with our FMC, Mira. You can tell she’s been hurt and traumatized by her past, to the point where she seeks solitude as a means to a peaceful escape from it all. Meeting an immortal stranger changes her and brings her to a cozy and quaint cottage where she finds serenity amongst the forest , animals , and within herself. I resonated with Mira on so many levels and saw myself in her. The pain and the hurt and wanting family and love, but resigning to a life of solitude to ward off any more hurt and suffering .
One night , an injured stranger finds himself at her front door. And from there the adventure and journey begin! This slow burn romance, yearning , and passion had me staying up late just to get more of Mira and Vale🥰🥰. They had me giddy like a school girl with a crush and then curling my toes and rubbing my thighs together throughout the entire book. You could feel their passion and sexual chemistry bleeding from these pages . Vale is a cinnamon roll for Mira, but touch her and will unalive you vibes run firmly through his protective and fierce love. Vale is also the consent king and I’m here for it !
Despite all the amazing love story, there is a dark force lurking in the shadows and at every corner. A prophecy that is coming to light and a magic system that is demanding to be brought back into this world , with Mira as the conduit and catalyst. There’s so much more I want to say, but don’t want to give anything away!
The found family and the side characters make this book so cozy and beautiful. I’ve always believed blood doesn’t always make someone your family , but how they show up and support you and love you for your truest self. And these characters definitely give Mira the found family she has always needed and deserved.
I truly can’t wait for this story to release and for others to read this captivating and exhilarating story. This author was born to write and her words are a melody of a story of love , magic , and self discovery. Thank you for choosing me to arc read and I can’t wait for this story to continue, I already need more 🩵✨
There are books you devour rapidly, excited to see what happens. And then there are books you cozy up with and let yourself get lost in…
A Vow of Steel and Flame is the latter.
This book is absolutely stunning, from the cover, to the language and imagery, to the story itself. I knew by the end of page one that I was going to make this first readthrough last, because you only get to experience your first time once!
A small, spoiler-free sampling of beautiful writing, as candy for your soul: • “The place is breathtaking – moonlight pools like fallen stars across mossy ground, where jasmine, moonflower, and wild blooms open in silent chorus.” • “Never have a man’s eyes threatened to undo me so completely, leaving me ruined and asking for more.” • “Something in me turns toward him the way birds turn toward the south wind – trusting a pull they cannot name, following it across distances that should daunt them.”
The FMC, Mira, is a delight. She has druidic tendencies (albeit sans magic) and trauma that makes it completely believable that she’d prefer to rough it in the woods than be near people. (Sometimes I feel the same!) Mira is not perfect, but she grows beautifully in this novel at a pace that feels perfect for her, given all she’s been through.
And our MMC, Vale, is book husband material. He is so full of green flags, you’d have a hard time believing he was real – at least, until you remember that he’s Immortal and has had centuries to get over the standard idiocy plaguing the male species. Vale is the support Mira needs and a fascinating character in his own right.
And the side characters! All are delightful in their own way. I won’t spoil it… but you will love them.
I cannot recommend this book enough. It will stick with me forever, and not because I fully intend to re-read it at least a dozen more times, but because it might be one of the most beautiful fantasy romance novels I’ve ever read.
Thank you to the author for providing an advance copy for me to read. My opinions are 100% my own.
A Vow of Steel and Flame feels like stepping into a quiet forest at dusk… only to realize the trees are whispering secrets and something ancient is watching you back.
Mira is the kind of heroine who doesn’t demand attention, yet completely commands it. Her solitude isn’t just a personality trait, it’s armor. Watching that armor soften, crack, and reshape under the presence of Vale is where this story truly shines. Their connection unfolds like embers catching, never rushed, never forced, just an inevitable heat building beneath every glance and shared silence.
And Vale? He walks in carrying centuries like ghosts stitched into his bones. The emotional weight he brings gives the romance a depth that aches in the best way. This isn’t instant love. It’s recognition. It’s gravity.
The worldbuilding hums quietly at first, almost deceptively simple, then expands into something rich with myth, prophecy, and tension. Magic here feels like a fading heartbeat, which makes every hint of it feel sacred and dangerous. When the story pivots toward destiny and conflict, it doesn’t lose its intimacy. It sharpens it.
The real magic, though, is in the theme of choice. Safety versus longing. Stillness versus becoming. Mira’s journey isn’t about being thrust into greatness, it’s about deciding she might want it, even if it burns.
✨ Expect:
* A lush, atmospheric setting that feels alive * A tender, slow-burn romance with emotional weight * Quiet moments that hit just as hard as the action * A heroine choosing herself, even when it hurts
By the final pages, the title makes perfect sense. This story doesn’t just promise steel and flame, it earns them.
If you love romantic fantasy that leans into longing, healing, and the dangerous beauty of wanting more… this one will wrap around you like smoke and stay there.
Mira's story is one of those quiet builds that sneaks up on you. She has spent her life on the edges, isolated, overlooked, and hardened by it, and watching her slowly open up to something more felt deeply earned. There is something so compelling about a character who has made peace with loneliness, only to have that peace gently dismantled by something she never saw coming.
The found family elements are where this book truly shines. Ace is such a standout character, the kind of friend who just worms his way into your heart without you realizing it. Watching Mira's relationship with him grow from wariness into something that feels genuinely like a friendship, almost a sibling bond, was one of my favorite parts of the whole book. He brings so much warmth and life to the story, and he made the found family theme feel real rather than just decorative.
Vale is a genuinely compelling male lead as well. He brings centuries of weight to the page without overshadowing Mira's journey, and the dynamic between them is slow and tender in the best way. It never feels rushed. The relationship develops the way real trust does, tentatively and then all at once.
The forest setting is atmospheric and immersive, and I loved how the world building unfolds gradually alongside Mira's own understanding of it. It's not a loud fantasy; it builds deliberately, layering in mythology and old magic without ever losing sight of the emotional core. At its heart, this book is really about what it means to stop surviving and start wanting things again, and that theme carries through beautifully.
A wonderful debut concept with a lot of promise. The ending left me genuinely excited for what comes next! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5)
First, I want to thank Jenise Carrington and Completely Booked PR for the gifted eARC of A Vow Of Steel And Flame to read and provide my honest and spoiler free review.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My Thoughts: Jenise Carrington managed to steal my heart immediately from the dedication. I’ve read a lot of dedications in a lot of books but this one was honestly my favorite and made me feel so seen. I knew I was in for a treat just from the dedication alone and I was not disappointed!
A Vow Of Steel And Flame was probably one of the most beautiful books that I’ve read. While reading, all I remember is feeling so at peace and cozy. This is the type of book that you will want to snuggle up with a blanket and just forget the real world for awhile as you read. Be prepared to be sucked into this world and stay there for a while to enjoy the journey of Mira and Vale.
Mira is the epitome of someone who has gotten comfortably in the isolated life she made for herself. She was so relatable that I could see myself in her as I followed her journey, especially when she meets Vale and starts to find what true home feels like by his side. Vale is the epitome of a constant person in your life. He never forgets about Mira and always enjoys her company and wants to keep her with him. It’s such a beautiful slow process type of relationship that makes you happy the entire time.
While things feel cozy and peaceful, there are some moments of chaotic energy that follows but I felt like it balanced the story out really well. The found family trope was also really good in this story and I liked getting to know all of the characters that surrounded Vale and Mira. If you are looking for a romantasy that feels like a warm hug with a bit of action, then this is the book for you!
Mira lives secluded in the forest when she is granted stewardship of a small cottage. Her world is turned upside down when she finds a man bleeding out on her cottage floor when she returns one day. She slowly heals him back to life and they settle into a quiet life until unknown forces disturb their peace, which forces them away from their solitude. This book is a romance, first and foremost. There are fantasy elements but those trickle in slowly. It is also a story mostly centered around Mira, her quiet strength, her doubts and fears and her way of slowly finding a place in a new world. This is a slow book. For some that might be a weakness, I didn't think it was for most of the book. Every word you read is thoughtful and deliberate. Don't expect to be swept off your feet by twists and action packed scenes. This is not that kind of book. I admired this book for its beautiful prose. Halfway through the book I started craving a little more forward momentum, I think there are pieces that could be shortened and it wouldn't harm the story. I could relate to Mira a lot. I like to be alone and I seek solitude, like her. When the author came with this gorgeous line: 'Solitude is not only escape but also exile'...that hit hard. I also struggled with Mira, at certain points I wanted to kick her and tell her to speak up and make her opinions known. Overall it maybe wasn't quite what I expected. It is absolutely beautifully written and I found little gems and thoughtprovoking moments in it. I just wish it had a little more depth and excitement in the plot.
You know those rare books where the dedication alone tells you you're in for something special? This is that book. If I could give it 6 stars, I absolutely would. The writing is breathtakingly vivid I genuinely felt like I was beside that waterfall, feeling the mist on my skin and hearing its thunderous roar as the characters absorbed its beauty. This author has mastered the art of making you live inside the story rather than just read it. Mira is everything you want in a fmc: fiery, fiercely independent, and unapologetically herself. She's been surviving on her own (though there are intriguing questions about what she truly is), until a bloodied stranger appears on her porch and changes everything. Vale is pure gold. From the moment they meet, his heart belongs to Mira completely. What makes him extraordinary is that while he's fiercely protective, he never tries to sideline her or diminish her strength. He loves with his whole being, and the words this man speaks? Absolute poetry. Music to the ears. Soria quickly became a favorite. She is loyal, steadfast, and so much more that you'll have to discover for yourself. Ace and his banter had me laughing out loud, but beyond the humor, this man completely stole my heart. This book took me on a journey. Tears were shed. Laughter erupted. The emotional range is spectacular, and every feeling earned. If you're looking for romantasy done right, this is it. The magic system is refreshingly unique, the foreshadowing is masterfully woven throughout, and the Easter eggs? Chef's kiss. This author knows how to plant seeds that bloom beautifully. This is a story for the record books. If you love immersive world building, swoon worthy romance, characters who feel like friends, and a magic system that stands apart from the rest don't walk, run to get this book. Absolute must read.
Sometimes you read a book. And sometimes a book completely captivates you.
A Vow of Steel and Flame by Jenise Carrington absolutely captivated me.
From the very first chapter I knew I was in trouble—in the best way. I actually messaged the author after chapter one because I was already hooked and knew I’d be buying the book.
What makes this story so special is the writing itself. Jenise Carrington writes with a fluid, almost poetic style that makes the words feel alive on the page. The yearning, the emotional pull, the way scenes unfold—it all creates a reading experience that feels immersive and deeply felt.
While reading I found myself smiling, tearing up, feeling anxious, and constantly wanting to read “just one more chapter.” The worldbuilding and relationships are beautifully done, and every scene feels like it reveals another layer of the story.
This book feels like a treasure trove—one of those stories where you want to pause and savor the moment while everything in the world of the story still feels whole.
By the end, I was left with one overwhelming feeling: I need the next adventure immediately.
What an absolute honor to be an early ARC reader for Jenise Carrington and her novel, A Vow of Steel and Flame.
A Vow of Steel and Flame deserves every single full, half, and quarter star it earned: A FULL AND COMPLETE 5 STARS.
Sometimes romantasy can begin to feel a little bit the same, but also different. AVOSAF feels different from the very first sentence. The pacing is absolutely magical. Slow. Meandering. You earn Mira’s story: one layer, one experience, one memory at a time. There is tension between who Mira was and who she is becoming as she finds peace in the solitude of the forest. One evening that solitude is breeched when she returns to her cabin to find an injured man. As we continue to discover more about Mira and also about Vale, the pacing increases but is tethered in the relationships Mira develops with the other characters.
This is the perfect option for someone who wants to try romantasy, for those that love romantasy, and for those who might not have enjoyed romantasy before. @jenisecarrington has given us a masterpiece—don’t let this one pass by.
A Vow of Steel and Flame Jenise Carrington 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️
This is a beautifully written story about healing, trust, and the quiet strength it takes to open your heart again. Carrington’s prose feels almost poetic, gently guiding the reader through themes of personal trauma and the deep need for connection—not just with others, but with ourselves.
Mira has built a life of solitude, finding comfort in caring for the natural world around her. It’s safe. It’s predictable. And it keeps her guarded. But when a mysterious, gravely injured stranger appears at her doorstep, her carefully constructed peace begins to unravel.
What follows is a tender journey of learning to trust again, to love, and to rediscover strength she didn’t realize she still possessed. The connection that grows feels raw and earned, making every moment of vulnerability hit even harder.
And yes—while the story leans deeply emotional and character-driven, the slow burn does pay off with some well-earned, steamy moments that add just the right amount of heat without overshadowing the heart of the story.
This is the kind of book that lingers—quietly powerful, deeply emotional, and perfect for readers who want romantasy with both depth and a little spice.
This is one of my very first ARC reads and I am excited to leave a review.
For starters this is definitely a book you recommend to a friend who wants to transition from RomCom or romance into fantasy or Romantasy gently. I would definitely call this book a cozy read that you snuggle up to and prepare for the ride. It is not a fast paced in your face read but one that caresses you with each page.
Mira is the FMC who after living in a town where she never felt like she belonged with her father ahs finally ventured off after his passing. She is a woman who is excited to find peace in being alone discovering who she is.
Vale is the MMC who shows up like a storm cloud in April and stays the whole month. He is a GREEN FLAG MMC! so if your looking for the rough and rude fae he is not your man. Vale is strong, commands respect, but also gentle, observing, and most of all patient!
This book has great world building, Tension, and closed door romance. The plot is so good that no spice is needed. The yearning and emotion in this book will have you feeling it on every page. Oh and I cant Forget ACE! his banter and play fullness is top tier.
I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I would rate this story 3⭐️
When I read the blurb of the book I was excited to dive in. Unfortunately I did struggle a bit with the pacing and the writing style. Those things aside I did like the story. The story definitely had a cozy fantasy vibe with very low stakes in terms of how complex the story and world building was to understand.
When you look at the character arc of Mira she was basically 2 different people from the start of the book to where the book ended. Her changes, while subtle grew to make her into the role she has taken within the kingdom.
Vale was a very patient and passionate man and you could really feel his love for Mira come through the book. His trusted inner circle were a good edition to the story.
Overall the story was good but I did feel like a lot of it could have been removed and it not have impacted the story too much, I found it picked up momentum from about 80% through.
First of all, thank you Jenise for allowing me to arc read for you. This was an absolutely beautiful story. This isn’t your typical high stakes, fast paced fantasy. This was a walk on the beach, a picnic in the park, an afternoon cozied up on the couch.
Getting to walk alongside our FMC Mira as she finds worth was a lovely journey. In the beginning of the book she is a loner who finds it hard to open up to those around her due to past traumas. As the story progresses she really blossoms into an incredible friend and person.
Our MMC Vale is a walking green flag, and I couldn’t get enough of him!
The writing style was beautiful in a way that allows you to completely immerse yourself in the book to the point that you feel like you’re a character in the story. If you’re looking for a cozy fantasy where we get to truly see a woman come into herself, pick this one!
It seems lately when you read books that are of the fantasy, romantic or romance genre you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. You sense what’s coming whether it’s a third act break up, lies, betrayals, etc. you know something is coming. It makes you anxious when you read the book. In this book, however, it was refreshing to read a beautiful fantasy romance where the other shoe didn’t drop.
It’s a love story with a happy ending and the main characters are together through it all. This is the type of book I wish more were like - stories where the main characters are ripped apart in the third act or worse. They stay together and provide that united front the story needs.
Thank you Jenise for writing that.
Many thanks to Jenise Carrington for the ARC to review.
Fierce, emotional, and filled with destiny-driven tension. A Vow of Steel and Flame delivers everything that makes romantasy addictive—dangerous promises, emotional tension, and a world shaped by war and destiny.
The story blends action and romance beautifully, creating a balance between epic fantasy stakes and deeply personal relationships.
✨ What makes it stand out: ⚔️ loyalty, vows & sacrifice 🔥 powerful emotional tension 👑 political conflict & destiny 🖤 romance woven through danger
There’s a constant sense that every promise matters—and that breaking one could change everything.
The emotional stakes feel just as important as the physical battles, which makes the relationships especially compelling.
It’s immersive, dramatic, and perfect for readers who love romantasy filled with both heart and conflict.
I genuinely don't want to say too much because I want you to discover this beautiful story for yourself 💖
What I will say is this: It's a slow paced (but not at the same time, if that makes sense 😕😅) tale of discovery, love and friendship. Vale is a walking green flag 😍 and Mira certainly comes into her own without losing her sense of self after being thrust into a world she knows very little about, which I adore! I'd love to see Ace and Soria's pasts explored more in the coming installments. Nothing felt forced, the story progression felt natural and I was completely immersed in the beautiful surroundings! This a beautifully written story and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read and review ❤️
Instantly was captivated by the beautiful dedication. I mean, feeling seen just in the dedication is an automatic 4 stars in my book, because obviously the story is form me. 🫣
Our dear heroine Mira, her family has passed, and she is a reject from her community. She has taken to living in the land, no true home.
However, chance encounter provides her an eden in a cottage which allows her to forge her needs and live in peace.
Of course if the story ended there it would be shorter book 😂.
So her peace is disturbed by an injured visitor who she takes on his healing journey.
This was a treasure of a story - Destiny - Found family - The best nickname - Prophecy
Thank you The Nerd Farm and Jenise Carrington for the ARC!
This is by no means a bad book, I enjoyed reading it, I definitely just prefer a more fast paced, high stakes and angsty story line. This is more of a cosy high fantasy whereas I prefer my storyline’s dark.
The writing style is really enjoyable and I found it really nice to read. It is very eloquent without feeling as though you’re reading an ancient text.
I enjoyed the characters but I just didn’t have a connection to them that made me care for their life and death scenarios.
I think if you’re after a story with interesting plot that doesn’t have you teetering on the edge of your seat this is the one you’re looking for.
Thank you to Jenise Carrington for allowing me to read an early copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.
I received an ARC from the author, and am so grateful to Jenise for the opportunity!
This is my honest review.
The idea was there. The characters were intriguing enough. I kept reading because I was sure there would be a big twist at the end, but it just fell flat. If you go into this book expecting a high-stakes romantasy, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a slow-paced, cozy fantasy romance with a little plot, this book will absolutely be for you!
Ace is everything. His and Mira’s friendship was the high point of this story. I also really appreciated the slightly closed door aspect of the spice.
I think the author is very talented and I will absolutely give her another try in the future!
**** Thank you Completely Booked PR & Jenise Carrington for the opportunity to be on the ARC team for this book. This is my personal review****
Peace & solitude is her companion. Nestled in a secluded cottage in the woods. Until one night … she finds a man bleeding on her floor.
4⭐️ - Book Review Release Date: June 20th
This is the perfect blend of femininity & strength.
This book was a refreshing take on Romantasy. The pages were delicately intimate and there was no need to rush to the ending. I felt so relaxed settling in to this beautiful immersive setting.
Tropes ✨ Unique Magic System ✨ One bed & one horse ✨ Slow burn romance ✨ Gentle yearning ✨ Cinnamon roll MMC ✨ Found family
Absolutely love this story. Thank you so much for allowing me the honour of reading this before others.
The story was perfect, relatable and the writing was perfection. I loved this masterpiece and cannot wait for all of you to read it soon!
I loved Mira and Vale individually and together. Vale is a going to give your book boyfriends a run for their money. Mira is so relatable and her quiet strength is unwavering 💕
I cannot wait to find out what happens next ❤️
Tropes and topics -loss -slow burn 🔥 - lovable MMC - trauma -handsome stranger -strong FMC -lovable side characters
I enjoyed this book! The author has a way making you feel like your living her words. I found the writing beautifully descriptive. It is slow moving but not without enough action and curiosity to keep turning the pages.
Mira the FMC has tons of character growth throughout the story. She is firece but shy and timid at the same time.
Vale the MMC is fierce, strong. A big teddy bear to Mira at least. Very much burn the world down character.
My favorite character is Ace I adore his wit and scaracasm he was a nice break from the serious.
Excited to find out what happens next in book 2. Thank you for the opportunity to read this Arc book
I just finished this story and had to hop over here to shout about it from the rooftops!
The book follows Mira, a women living in quiet solitude, whose life is interrupted by a mysterious stranger.
This was an absolutely beautiful book! Carrington created a story that felt soft and almost like a dream. The romance unfolded gently and truly made these characters feel so real.
What stood out most to me was how immersive the writing was. It painted vivid imagery that made me feel like I was right there beside Mira, experiencing everything with her.
If you love character driven stories with writing that paints a picture as you read, I would absolutely recommend this book!
I enjoyed this book but something was lacking I’m afraid, there wasn’t much going on and we are thrown into the book without much knowledge. The characters were ok the fmc and mmc for me moved a bit to quick to form a relationship which isn’t a bad thing but they hardly know one another to even feel something other than attraction plus i perfer slow burn. This book wasn’t for me I’m sad to say but I think others will like this. Sorry!
Thank you Jenise Carrington for the arc in exchange for my honest opinion 🫶🏼
This was an absolutely stunning read - one that I truly didn't want to set down. Jenise wrote us a world and characters that were so beautiful and cozy, and I just wanted to sit in it forever. Having read more fast-paced reads lately, this one was a breath of fresh air that made me slow down and let me just enjoy its beauty. I cannot wait to read more by Jenise!
Absolutely love love love this book! The world building, the characters(Ace will forever be my favorite),the plot everything about this book was Epic! Mrya and Vales love story is an amazing journey I could read over and over! 100% recommend
I had the pleasure of beta and ARC reading this book, and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This romantasy needs to be on your TBR. Carrington has a way with words that draws you right into Mira’s story. She manages to bring some cozy and sweet vibes into a book full of political intrigue and mystery. I loved that Mira and all the side characters felt so real, and don’t get me started on Vale. He kept the skeptic in me on my toes but never let me down. The romance in this book is well written and believable in its evolution, and the tension and emotions are palpable. If you’re looking for a romantasy that breaks out of the normal template, mark this release date on your calendar!
