As the eldest daughter of an alcoholic mother, she learned early that love means holding everything together—even when it’s falling apart. Now, she runs Hey Honey’s, the beloved coffee shop she’s poured her life into, clinging to carefully ordered routines that keep her Obsessive Compulsive Disorder—and her heart—in check.
Anderson Montgomery has spent his whole life running toward disasters.
A firefighter with a chronic caretaker streak and a habit of cleaning up his brothers’ messes, Anderson knows how to shoulder other people’s burdens. But, what he doesn’t know how to do is tell Ava he wants more than the “no-strings-attached” arrangement they began eight months ago. He’s finally ready to risk everything and confess—until Ava’s world implodes.
When Child Protective Services decides she isn’t stable enough to adopt her younger sister, Ava is desperate, and Anderson doesn’t hesitate. A marriage on paper gives CPS the “perfect family” they want to see.
But, living under the same roof blurs every boundary they try to set. The stolen glances last longer. The touches linger. The words “husband” and “wife” start to feel less like a lie and more like a promise.
And just when the adoption is finalized and they’re supposed to walk away, Ava finds out she’s pregnant—with Anderson’s baby.
Now they have to was their marriage ever pretend—or were they just too afraid to call it love.

𐙚⋆°。⋆♡ ── pre-read i remember reading one of katy's books 2 years ago (?) and LOVED it!!! i have been dying to read her latest books for so long!!! got this arc a bit ago and need to read it asap <3
thank you house of hearts & katy michele for the digital arc
I went in expecting a fun romance, but what really stood out was the love and care woven throughout every relationship. The found family element was easily my favorite part, and it made the story feel warm, comforting, and easy to get attached to.
Anderson was an absolute sweetheart and carried so much of this book for me. His patience, devotion, and quiet support made him impossible not to love. I also really appreciated Ava’s journey and the way her struggles were portrayed with care. While there were moments where I wanted a little more from the romance itself, I was still deeply invested in their relationship and rooting for them the entire time.
What stayed with me most was the heart behind this story. The themes of family, healing, and learning to lean on others were handled beautifully, and Georgie brought so much emotion to the page.
This was a sweet, emotional read that balanced heartbreak and hope beautifully.

Huge thank you to Katy Michele & House of Hearts Lit. for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
so this one hurt extra bad! as an oldest sibling with addict parents i related to this book way more than i want to (i mean no one WANTS to have issues, ya know).
i relate to both our main characters, anderson and ava. being in ava’s head was so much like being in my own, her ocd taking over really hit home for me. it’s so hard to not have the parental support you need as a kid, and not only that, but have to give your everything to your siblings when you don’t have anything left to give. ava had to give & give & give and when she was finally at a good place, had her feet swept out from under her. my poor GIRL!!! she really had to go through it but im so glad i got to see her get her happy ever after 🫶🏻
anderson is someone we all need in our life. someone that you can depend on, & trust to always have your back. i LOVED reading their dynamic, and fake marriage will give it to me every single time. he wanted nothing more than to love and take care of ava and i loved him for that. he recognized some of himself in her & knowing how it feels to relate to her, knew he would have to go slow and patient and he did and i love him so much for it!!!
the relationship that formed between the two of them was so pure & full of love. they both deserve to be loved & seeing their journey was so special. this is why i love reading!!!!! the first time ava asked anderson for help i nearly sobbed btw (im a stubborn girlie to my core). do yourself a favorite & pick this up if you like pain!!! (and good times, too) hehe. this healed some parts of me!
thank you to katy michele & house of hearts for the gifted copy, all opinions are my own!
(btw this line nearly killed me 😃 — “you don’t get extra credit for being the easy kid” — like wow that 😃 really 😃 hurt 😃)
Tbh, I can't say I really enjoyed this at all. Ava really got under my skin. The back and forth, denial of feelings, and her insistence thay what she has with Anderson is all pretend were just driving me crazy.
It took her until 70% to finally find the courage to admit how she feels. While all along, readers know that Anderson has been all in from the very start. Idk, this kind of slow burn wasn't fun to read. It was frustrating to see him feel like crap because she was acting like she couldn't care less about him and was hell-bent on keeping him at arm's length. I liked the MMC; I just don't get what he sees in the FMC. And even if they got their HEA, I wasn't really happy that he ended up with her.
Not going to rate it because the FMC ruined the whole vibe for me. Even the almost perfect MMC couldn't make this book any better in my eyes.
Anderson is such a cutie, and he is down BAD for Ava.. however, me being Swedish and all, I’m having trouble with his name lol. For me, Anderson is a surname… but he is a great MMC tho! So sweet and caring 🥹
And Ava… girl… the life you’ve lived. Both Ava and Anderson have had a though go at things, that’s for sure. Poor babies 💔
The story tho, it took a bit too long for my taste to get to the surprise pregnancy. I was under the impression that it was the main plot but that wasn’t the case. A lot revolves around Ava getting custody of her little sister and how Anderson can help with that. Cute story, but nothing more, nothing less.
I am however, very intrigued by Emerson who I’m guessing will star in the third book 🤭 single (rockstar?) dad and nanny. SAY LESS
Anderson and Ava are so beautiful. I absolutely love marriage of convenience romance and the unique twist of the surprise pregnancy as well was absolutely perfect for them 🥹
Anderson is one of the most patient and loving MMC’s everrr. That man was willing to wait YEARS to be noticed by Ava and was just content with existing in Ava’s life in anyway he could. And the fact that he so willingly stepped in when Ava needed him the most with NO QUESTIONS ASKED?!
Anderson was completely DEVOTED!!
Ava is such a beautifully written character, her struggles with OCD and the trauma from her mother were written so intentionally. My heart truly broke for her, seeing take guardianship over her sister without hesitation was so emotional. Older sisters are truly some of the most under appreciated people in the world. Ava is so incredibly resilient and admiring.
I have an older sister who helped raise me and my 2 younger siblings and Ava just reminded me of my sister’s love and commitment to our family.
I was so happy to see that Anderson created such a loving and safe environment for not just Ava but her sister as well. The fact that he immediately felt connected with Georgie was so precious.
Black Cat x Golden Retriever duo will forever be loved by me because of the vulnerability that forms within that relationship is truly something special.
I absolutely loved this book and cannot wait to tune in to Em’s book! 💛
Katy knows how to write the very best found family!
This was such a sweet and heartwarming read. I came in expecting the grumpiest of grumps and plenty of sunshine energy, but what I wasn't prepared for was an MMC with major “golden retriever only for his girl” vibes as well. 🥹
The relationships in this book were truly the standout for me. Between the found-family dynamic, the lovable characters, and the genuine care they had for one another, it was impossible not to get emotionally invested.
This book set the bar high in all the best ways and was such a wonderful continuation of the series. I already can't wait to spend more time with this world and these characters!
The way this was SO PERFECT! I was already invested in this group of friends from From The Ashes, but I KNEW I was going to love this one even more! Marriage of convenience is one of my favorites and you add in the YEARNING and the surprise pregnancy and the single guardian of it all!!! It was JUST SO GOOD!
Anderson and Ava have my whole heart! They were SOFT and SWEET and SO GOOD TOGETHER! Even though they were thrown into the whole engagement/marriage/guardianship of it all!!! They were such a good TEAM! They knew they had to be there for Georgie, and of course each other, and that’s all that mattered at the end of the day. And it was so perfect.
Anderson Montgomery!!! A MAN WHO YEARNS! A MAN WHO BLUSHES!! A MAN WHO LOVES HIS WIFE SO DAMN MUCH! I love the way he loved Ava, quietly and on her terms honestly bc he knew that what she needed!!!! Bc also Ava loved him in her own quiet ways before she really realized it too!!
Ava’s OCD was written with so much love and care, and I thought it was done so well! Reading it you could really feel the way she was feeling (without it feeling overwhelming in my opinion). It was clear how much she struggled and how much she wanted to “be better”. Seeing her go to therapy and working for hard to make things easier for herself was also done so well. And Anderson taking everything in stride was exactly what she needed - in so many way not just in relation to her OCD. He checked in, he noticed things, he was always there for her in whatever way she needed. The same went for Ava helping Anderson too. He needed someone to help him in ways he’s never experienced before, and having Ava be that person for him was healing for him too.
I am a FAN of Katy’s and I will eventually be going back to read her other books!!!!! And I also cannot wait for whatever is next in this series!! But until then I’ll be thinking about Ava and Anderson ENDLESSLY!!
I loved "Call You Mine" by Katy Michele! This totally exceeded my expectations. I didn't read the first book in the Hey Honey's Baristas series, but you can bet I'm going back to read it because I liked this one so much! This is a small-town marriage of convenience that also includes an accidental pregnancy. I loved the relationship between Ava and Anderson. They have been hooking up for months, but Ava always leaves each night, much to Anderson's chagrin. He has been secretly wanting more with her since, well, basically since they started hooking up. Ava has OCD, so she needs things to be a certain way and doesn't want to stay at his place with so many unknown variables. Ava's life takes a drastically different turn when her youngest sister finds their mom drunk and passed out. Ava takes her sister to her place, and a bunch of drama ensues to the point where she has to stay with her long-term (I don't want to spoil!). Her OCD is suffering, and she is suffering in silence because she doesn't want to tell Anderson what's going on, but she cares so much about her sister that she's willing to do anything to help. In an effort to look better and more positive to CPS on paper, Anderson offers to marry Ava, so her sister can stay with them. They do, and a fake marriage turns into very real feelings... well, for Ava, since Anderson has been pining for her for months! I enjoyed getting to watch Ava fall slowly for Anderson. He is the kind of guy who anticipates what she needs before she needs something. He was such a fantastic MMC! Ava is such a strong, resilient character. I just loved her, too. The best thing about these characters is that they feel so realistic, so lived-in. Their struggles feel raw and hard to deal with, not something a quick fix will solve. There are a lot of moving parts to this story, a lot of layers, and a different author might not have been able to make them come together as successfully, but Katy Michele manages to do a fantastic job tying everything together in a way that feels natural. To me, it feels like the OCD component of the story feels well-researched and accurate. I felt so hard for Ava and her sisters and what they have had to endure at the hands of their mother. My goodness, this made me cry a couple of times! Also, I think the accidental pregnancy is handled well, too. What might have made me roll my eyes elsewhere felt honest and meaningful between two characters who eventually come around to professing their true feelings for one another. I just loved this one!
Thank you to Katy Michele and House of Hearts Lit. for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.
I was SO excited to go back to this series and to finally read about Anderson and Ava. I had a feeling their story would leave a mark on me and I was so right 💌
Anderson!! Guys omg I don’t even have words to describe how much I love this character!! He’s the sweetest guy ever, he’s so caring and always makes sure to show how much he cares for his loved ones. We can see how down bad he was for Ava since page one (since book 1 if we’re being honest) but it only got better 🤭 he was ALWAYS there when Ava and Georgie needed him
Ava is such an interesting character! It took me some time to really understand her, but I kept reading and it was impossible not to love and care for her 💗 She has OCD and we get to see just how much it affects her life. It was so so interesting and cheers to Kate because she made me understand this disorder so much better!!
I fell in love with these characters and this story page after page. It was such a beautiful story and Kate’s writing was just as beautiful. She made me experience so many emotions. I shared the characters happy moments and was sad and heartbroken whenever they were. It’s a book that I won’t forget any time soon ❤️
Thank you Katy Michele and House of Hearts for sending me this ARC copy 🤍
Thank you so much House of Hearts Lit for the e-ARC! I loved reading Call You Mine! The tropes are amazing, and they worked so well together. If you're into the tropes... biiiig chance you're gonna love reading it too!
💍 marriage of convenience 👶 surprise pregnancy 🥰 found family 🏘️ small town 👨🏻🚒 firefighter MMC x ☕ coffee shop manager FMC 🥺 he falls first
What a great time I had reading Ava and Anderson's love story. They truly match each other's soul. Ava and Anderson had a beautiful connection and understood each other in ways no one else had understood them before. They had a genuine bond and it was so nice to see their relationship developing and becoming much deeper.
Ava and Anderson shared the same experience as the oldest kid in the families. Ava has 3 younger sisters, and Anderson has 3 younger brothers. Ava grew up unstable, being the big sister who took care of her siblings and taking the job that their mother was supposed to do. Anderson is the glue that holds his family together ever since they lost his dad. Always the one everyone calls for help, never the one that gives any trouble.
They had the same weight on their shoulders. So, when they come together (in a fake marriage) they help take that weight off their shoulder by sharing their worries, troubles and thoughts and being supportive to each other. They just make so much sense together.
I believe a lot of readers will be able to relate to their struggles: Anderson's exhaustion after years of taking care of everything when it comes to his mom and brothers; Ava's experience as an older sister to Georgie when their other sisters live far away; Ava's mom being an alcoholic, Ava's apprehension of having her own baby when she already took care of her sisters and it was very tiring plus the unpredictability that comes with a baby and what it would mean for her OCD; Anderson figuring out his boundaries when it comes to helping his family; Ava's OCD; Ava's fear of letting Anderson in and seeing all that comes with being her; and so much more topics that added a lot of depth to the story.
Ava's POVs show how little support she had as a kid. He was basically forced to grow up quick so she could take care of her sisters while her mother lost herself in alcohol. She had to be responsible and hold everything - the family - together. When her mother relapses, she decides to get custody of her sister. However, the services don't see her as a great candidate because she doesn't have a great high paying job nor does she own a house. When Anderson comes knocking on her door to talk, she asks him to play along and pretend they're engaged and that she and her sister would live with him. Anderson has no hesitation to help. Whatever Ava and Georgie need from him, he'll do it gladly.
Ava is a beautiful character. I admired her. So well written, and has a lot of depth. I could relate to her in some moments, and my heart also hurt for her and her struggles with OCD. Her OCD is very present throughout the book, and very much an important aspect of who she is, so as the reader, I could really feel her worries, her mental and physical responses to intrusive thoughts, all the memories she holds, the guilt, the nausea of what could happen if she doesn't do what her mind/OCD is telling her to do. Anderson, being the supportive partner he is, even read and researched about it so he could help her. *Heart melts*
Anderson is, and I mean this with my heart full of love, a fool in love. Lovesick. And I loved it. OHHHH MYYYY! He wants, so badly, to be with Ava, love her and be loved back. But since they started their 'friends with benefits/fuck buddies' relationship, she runs before anything can get too serious. She doesn't want to welcome someone new into her life, which she sees as a mess. But he's always there, ready for her whenever she's ready to let herself be loved by him. My heart was jumping out of my chest reading his POV and seeing how he felt about Ava and how much he wanted her, craved every bit of attention he could get from her, and accepted that for the time being, even if he couldn't get an actual relationship from her, he would take what he could get, because he just wanted her. At the same time he wants to tell her how he feels, and tell her that he wants more, wants to settle down with her, he fears if he asks for that, he's gonna lose her altogether. It was a rollercoaster of emotions to follow him decide what to do, and it portrayed him as a true yeaner.
I was also so happy and smiling so big, giggling kicking my feet, when we got Anderson's POV and he had all those internal thoughts, and also external, when he was rehearsing what he wanted to say to Ava, how he would confess his feelings for her. MY HEART can't take this! He was truly so kind, incredibly sweet, patient, generous and overall a big softie for Ava and Georgie.
Speaking of Georgie... she was a joy! Loved her scenes, seeing her bond with Ava and seeing Georgie build a relationship and trust with Anderson was pretty special! Heart eyes for them!!! This trio also had some funny moments together and it just made this story shine much more brighter.
The side characters (from the previous book, and the next one, plus others) were also very entertaining and added more meaning to the narrative. I didn't have the time to read the first book in the series, but I could still understand the context as it's explained and I thought the previous couple was so so sweet. Anderson's uncle was important to help him deal with his family situation.
I was so happy to see Ava get her HEA, because for so long she struggled trying to keep everything from falling apart, always worrying over her life and then her youngest sister's life. Now, she gets to share her world with Anderson, who's eager to help, and reassure her that she's wanted, loved, and appreciated. With Anderson, Ava could finally ask for help and not carry all the burdens by herself. She learned that she could be loved, even with the mess. Anderson showed through words and actions that he truly wanted her.
I was so happy to see Anderson finally get to have his own family, and have the life he dreamed of having, and doing all of that with Ava, for whom he had fallen in love months and months ago. He was full of love to give and so ready and happy to give it all to Ava, and then Georgie and now the baby. He showed himself as an amazing husband and father.
The ending scene was so special!! 🥺🥺💗💓💕 What a precious way to end their book and leave a very happy and hopeful start of the next chapter of their lives.
And lastly... some quotes/highlights!
“Could you be more into her?” “You have no idea,” “We can do this, Ava. You’re safe with me. I promise.” “God, I love it when you’re mean to me.” “Keep it in your pants, sunshine.” “This marriage wasn’t supposed to be real.” “It was always real to me, Ava.” “There’s nothing fake about how wet my wife is for me” “Such a good boy” “Such a good husband”
6⭐️ I wish I could read it again for the first time. This book feels like a warm hug on a cold winter night. 🫂❤️🩹
“I think about the way her curls perfectly frame her face, and the way her eyes are a type of hazel I've never seen before-brown with flecks of gold and a ring of green on the outside of her irises. I could look into them forever if she'd let me.”
"No leash needed," he says calmly over my shoulder. "I know who I belong to." My heart stutters at his words, the easy way he says it, as if it's the truth. No question about it. Real. "And I'd tread carefully if I were you," he adds, resting his chin on the top of my head as his grip on my hip tightens, pulling me flush against him. "Because I like the way she bites when someone gets too close to what's hers."
Tropes: One night stand (turned into FWB?) 🌶️ He falls first 🧎♂️ Golden retriever MMC 🦮 Black cat FMC 🐈⬛ Mental health rep (OCD) 🫂 Accidental pregnancy 🤰🏻 Fake marriage/marriage of convenience 💍 Vegas Wedding 💒 One bed 🛌 Slow burn 🔥
“I think it’s time to admit this was never something that was meant to be temporary.”
One thing about me is I’m gonna RUN and devour an accidental pregnancy book. But I think what I liked most about this book is OCD representation. I related a lot to Ava when she was in her head and the intrusive thoughts were taking over her mind. Anderson never lost his patience with her over it. He fell so hard and fast for Ava and really went above and beyond to help her. What a guy. I’M DECEASED. I also really like that this book is written in a way where most chapters don’t immediately take place after the previous one. Loved the plot, thought it was decently paced. Amazing supporting characters (called it on that one brother). One of my top favorite reads of this year for sure.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to Katy Michele and House Of Hearts.
ooof. katy, you really did kiss the brick before you threw this at us, didn't you? well, this hit me like a freight train (in the bestest way possible). 🥹❤️🩹
truly, katy's writing style is absolutely beautiful and i've already loved hey honey's first book so so much that i've been looking forward to book 2 ever since. and boy, did katy deliver with this one!!!!
first and foremost, i do love myself a man who is utterly obsessed with his woman like any other bookish gal but THIS???? man, anderson is getting walked like a goddamn dog and i've been woof-ing ever since. that concert scene? jesus, that was DELECTABLE!!!! also no one writes TENSION like katy. she truly does this EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! the amount of times i want to read across these pages and STRANGLE both ava AND anderson 😭😭😭😭 and the angst??? god that was done BEAUTIFULLY!!!!!! my anxiety was at an all time high, i got so sucked into the story that my brain was quite literally unable to separate itself from these written characters on a piece of paper mind you - that's insane!!!!
the storyline hit so close to home. the depiction of both OCD, mental health issues, as well as alcoholism and substance abuse was written incredibly well and with the utmost of care. i do recommend checking the TWs before reading as these might be very difficult topics for some to read about. especially the depictions of OCD were so well done and hit so close to home.
this was absolutely exceptional and i've loved every single second i spent reading this. i cannot recommend this enough. this was such a beautiful story and it was so so worth being told. i wish more people would pick this up and give it the love this book deserves. ava & anderson surely do turn heads! 🤍
Thanks to Katy Michele and House of Hearts for the gifted copy — all opinions are my own.
This is the second book in a series – I haven’t read the first one yet, but it doesn’t matter at all; it works perfectly well as a stand‑alone. My first ACR.
A lovely romance about Ava and Anderson. She’s a barista, he’s a firefighter. They both carry their own family baggage, which might be exactly why they understand each other so well. Ava’s concern for her sister forces her to take action. She and Anderson pretend to be engaged, and circumstances push them into getting married, even though for them it’s supposed to be only for show. To the rest of the world, however, they have to look like a happy couple. The situation becomes even more complicated when Ava finds out she’s pregnant. It’s a story about two people whom life itself pushes into making big decisions.
The story is nice, with plenty of emotional obstacles in the form of traumatic childhood experiences and complicated family relationships. What disappointed me, though, was that the book starts at a point where Ava and Anderson’s relationship is already well established. He apparently fell for her almost at first sight, but we never really get to see that, because by the time the story begins, Ava and Anderson are already a well‑oiled team – not a couple in the official sense, but definitely bound by a deeper connection. The book doesn’t show how they first met or how their bond formed; instead, it focuses on how they deal with life’s challenges and what ultimately forces them to act. For that reason, I felt the plot lacked a certain tension in the romantic development itself. I never truly got the sense of how and why Anderson and Ava fell in love – and for me, that’s the most beautiful part of this genre.
Even so, the book offers plenty of touching moments; I just didn’t feel much romantic tension between the main couple. I definitely recommend checking the trigger warnings beforehand.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
“Ava is tattooed on my heart, carved into my bones, written on every inch of my skin. She's what runs through my veins, and she doesn't even know it.”
This was a surprising 5 stars for me. I’ve been dying to finally read a romance book that accurately depicts OCD and ERP therapy. This was so well done and researched. The author also tackled many different themes of found family, adoption, surprise traumatic birth, addiction, he fell first, one bed trope, etc with such ease!! I am so impressed with how the author wove it all together while going through their own postpartum experience in real life.
This book was more than just a beautiful love story but also a reminder of healing and healthy boundaries. “I can support my loved ones with the intensity and urgency that I want, but I can't cross that line of doing it all for them at the price of myself.” At no point did Anderson replace his need to save his family with his need to be the hero for Ava. He just adjusted and learned to love her without self-sacrificing his needs. It was so wonderful to see. I cannot wait to read about Emerson next.
AMAZING IM FULLY OBSESSED. i read the first book to this series a few months ago and marked my calendar for this release and it did not disappoint. i loved it. i think this author really has so much potential to make it big. her writing style is beautiful and her characters are complex and interesting. there is a lot going on at once, but it’s not hard to follow and it really keeps the fast pace moving along.
as someone who struggles with OCD (i did have to take a step back sometimes reading bc i caught my mind slipping bc i was in the mind of someone who had similar tendencies to me) it was so different and special to read someone being loved properly and in a way that isn’t straining to their mental state or the relationship.
i do however need more answers for the stuff not talked about in this book. there were a lot of unanswered questions surrounding Andersons family. i can’t wait to see what comes next for this author and this series.
A marriage of convenience where he is sooo down bad for her 😍😍 like he would literally do anything and he is sunshine she is the grump. He literally begs for her !!!!
Also the OCD rep was sooo good in this. Really loved the realistic picture and how she handles it.
I really enjoyed the writing and the story so much, I definitely want to read more by this author.
Just going to leave you with this “No leash needed, I know who I belong to” DED ! That scene was everything 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This book is such a great follow up to From the Ashes. Katy weaves love and spice with real issues in such a careful way that it is hard not to love her characters. Ava and Anderson aren’t perfect people but they’re perfect for each other. They understand each other in a way no one else does. And they’ll both do anything to help and care for the people they love
4.5 💛 I have been looking forward to call you mine since it was announced and I loved it so much! not only did I love the found family but the family between Anderson, Ava & Georgie! my heart every single time 🥹 The deeper topics were written so well and I can tell they were handled with care. As an eldest daughter this one hit hard and it made me feel seen! the way Anderson took care of Ava and would wait for her like ahhh! Thank you so much to Katy Michele & House of Hearts for the gifted copy in exchange for a review! If you love: 💍 marriage of convenience 💛 guarded barista x yearning firefighter 💍 my wife 💛 they're both eldest children 💍OCD rep (fmc) 💛 found family 💍 good boy 💛 accidental pregnancy then you'll absolutely fall in love with call you mine! so excited for book 3 because the Easter eggs made me giddy!!
“I’d carry the whole world if she needed me to, and I’d still make sure I have room to carry her, too” Anderson the man that you are 😭 accidental pregnancy has never been my favourite trope but this might be the one that changes my mind. It was paced so well, I really felt for Ava and Anderson (and Georgie). One of my fav reads so far this year
I loved itt, it was very faced pace but I loved all the little family moments between Ava, Anderson and Georgie plus the Jack and Rumi mentions were everythingggg
I really liked the story of Ava and Anderson. It was so easy to fall into the reading flow, to fall into their story. The building up of their relationship and also the development of their relationships with Georgie was sooo cute to read!
I have really enjoyed everything that Katy Michele has written, I think she’s an underrated author in the world of indie authors. This book has a lot of emotional topics and heavy OCD representation with the FMC. I really liked the relationship between the fmc and her younger sister. Anderson, the mmc is one giant green flag. Golden retriever energy all the way! There were some minor things that I would have liked to see more of or less of but overall I enjoyed this one!
