This is a fantastic Systematic Theology book for men. It breaks down theological truths and details them in ways that men can be able to use in their daily lives. My favorite part was in Chapter 5, when he described Jesus coming to Earth to rescue us like Elias having to step out of the helicopter to save the man in the water. No instructions or lifelines could have saved the man, Elias had to leave the copter and physically help the man. So it was with Jesus, in order for mankind to be Saved, He had to step out of Heaven, become human, and endure humanity to save us. There are a few other real-life stories that Dr. Knowles uses to make story connections more understandable. The practicality of the writing makes it easier to follow and absorb. This kind of teaching is more of the kind that appeals to some people like me. It helps to get a better feel of the teaching and makes it more learnable. At the end of each chapter, he offers some questions we need to ask ourselves and some suggestions about memorizing a verse or two to be able to grow in our Christian faith.
