Short Spicy Goodness

I’d say this was short, but sweet, but short and spicy would be more fitting! It had all the OTT fun that you expect from Katie Landry. I enjoyed watching Silas get outwitted at every turn by his “innocent” wife. Paloma was a blast! I loved her matching him wit for wit and dominating him at every turn! I love watching powerful men get absolutely owned by stronger women!💜

Cada libro que saca la autora me decepciona más. No sé, ya no he conectado con sus historias y en este particularmente, no entendí y vi el supuesto por parte de ninguno de los dos protagonistas.

El libro comienza con Silas, el gobernador del estado enterándose que le tomaron fotos con su amante Whitleigh y ahora su dulce esposa se enterará de la infidelidad. Su justificación es que con la otra puede tener sexo rudo y fuerte, mientras que Paloma, es dulce y tranquila. Así que va a casa y le dice de la infidelidad. Paloma se ríe de él y le dice que por fin podrá divorciarse, pues se casó con él solo por su dinero, ella tenía 25 y él 45, solo por eso. Silas se queda tieso jajaja, pues esperaba verla llorar. Se cuenta como fue que conoció a Silas: Sus amigos del trabajo iban a entrevistar a Silas, pero la convencieron de transformarla en una mujer recta, delicada, tímida, la mujer perfecta para engatusar a Silas y conseguir dinero para su tipo albergue de animales. Silas cayó y desde entonces están juntos, ella pide el divorcio y él no quiere. Al día siguiente, ve que Paloma, está enfrentando a Whitleigh, la amante, mientras está es destruida por ella, es débil. Paloma se muestra víctima y grita a los medidos la infidelidad y que se separará. Silas está excitado y le pide una oportunidad. Ella le dice que acepte probar las cosas que a ella le gustan, empezando por ser su mascota. Le pone un collar, lo hace que coma y lama hasta su plato. Lo deja que le haga sexo oral pero se contiene para demostrar que ha tenido mejores. Silas ve su alma gemela, le propone que vayan a terapia con el hombre que él dijo que era su psicólogo pero no lo era, era un señor de la limpieza que llevo solo para quedar bien y Paloma aprovechó. Jajajajaja. Están en terapia, los medios llegan, ella dice que se separará y él dice que renuncia a su puesto de gobernador. Silas dice que está dispuesto a lo que sea por seguir a su lado. Ella lo lleva a un club sexual. Lo hace ver como otro hombre le hace de todo sexualm3nte hablando y él sigue insistiendo en seguir casado con ella y darle dinero. Tiempo después, están en un evento de Rowen, amiga de Paloma a quien Silas le consiguió trabajo e hizo lo mismo con sus otros amigos para convencerla de seguir con él. Paloma le cuenta que fue quien llamó a los medios para que lo fotografiaran saliendo del hotel con Whitleigh. Le paga por besarse y luego le da otro contrato prenupcial donde dice que si es infiel le dará todo su dinero. Él le regala un consolador para que lo penetre a él y ella lo hace. Termina con ellos en ese asunto, luego regresando y diciendo que se aman, lo que no entendí como surgió. Él solo la deseaba y ella solo quería su dinero jajajaja, amor dónde? Sorry, no lo recomiendo, al ser cortito no tiene nada de profundidad ni sustancia.

I happen to love cheating books and no one does a cheating book like Katie Landry. This book is one of the most over the top hilarious cheating books I have ever read. Paloma decides to trick the Governor to get money for her animal shelter. She’s dresses quite prim and pretends to be a shy woman with no experience with men. Silas buys the act hook, line and sinker and marries her. But then Silas decides to dally on the side and gets caught. Paloma decides to turn Silas out. She reveals who she truly is and blows Silas away with her actions and behavior. If you are one of those who don’t like cheating books, no worry. This book has the most epic grovel that there is. And this book could be classified as satire since it’s so over the top. If you want a funny over the top cheating romance with a huge grovel. Read this book.

This author's style can be an acquired taste. It has been described as campy. Some of her other stories are more angsty and these are the ones that I enjoyed. It feels like the strong, bitchy, h now takes precedence over angst. In this book the H is a governor who has been satisfying his need for something kinky with an OW. Although he has tried hard to be discrete to protect his young innocent wife, reporters photograph the H and OW leaving a hotel. The H belongs to that category of husbands who believe that their wives are too pure for the kind of sex his dark self craves. Surprise! The h has been playing a role to get her hands on the money in their prenup. Her ruthless side is redeemed by her plan to use the money to save an animal shelter. The book is too short to develop any layers but the H's reason for cheating does allow for a large portion of the book to be devoted to BDSM.

Ugh, the men she writes about makes me so mad with stuff they do, but man does the fmc walks them like a dog and in this book the fmc literally does!

I usually love these. I read the teaser for this one on Substack and thought it would be interesting. The first few chapters were. Then it devolved into just a bunch of chaos. The OW drama that usually is in this authors books wasn’t there. The groveling was just him becoming a cuck, which I thought was a nice touch all things considered, and essentially becoming her sub.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. It had my vengeful ass laughing so hard from beginning to end. Paloma and Silas really were perfect for each other. F’ed up soulmates.

I love Katie Landy’s books but this one didn’t do it for me at all. No real story, just lots of BDSM. I might go and re-read the tradwife one for an uplift.
