From SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE writer Bob Tischler and FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR writer Gary H. Miller comes IMPOSSIBLE, an adaptation of their hilarious, fast-paced, dark romantic screenplay. The a hilarious, fast-paced, dark romantic novel. Once you pick this book up, it will be impossible to put down.IMPOSSIBLE is a truly laugh out loud romantic comedy. A dark romantic comedy??? If you say so.
I wish I would have liked it like others, but this one was just bad....sorry :(

Ok, I have to start by saying this book was seriously all kinds of fucked up. I like dark books and was in the mood for a romance that had would cause me to laugh, at least a little. This one didn’t do that for me. I love both writers but this book was just a wreck. Not one I'd recommend. The high reviews just blow my mind. Maybe it's just me though but this wasn’t not enjoyable for me at any point. Total clusterfuck.

The book's description identifies it as a screenplay turned novel. Maybe it's actually a screenplay turned novel hoping to again become a screenplay, and then eventually a movie. To my view, the story would play better in film, but it was fun to read. It would make a good movie; certainly not the most far-fetched premise I have ever seen adapted to cinema. And funny, which isn't surprising, given the authors' comedy backgrounds. It kept me reading, and held my attention, and I thought there were some fun plot twists. Laughed out loud a few times. A good, light read.

She was the girl of his dreams…until she brought him home to meet Dad.

They classified this story as a “dark romantic comedy,” which sparked my interest. Reading it, I realized why.

Peter is a high school history teacher in search of Miss Right. Then he meets Beth, who is smart, funny, and beautiful. The two are instantly attracted to each other and start going out. It was a match made in heaven. Now I know why they had the same last name. They actually had the same dad. AHHHH! Turns out the dad has had two families for 25 years. What are the odds?

To defy their father, Peter and Beth decide to move in together, to be a couple without coupling. You didn’t need a crystal ball to know they weren’t going to work. I mean, being a boyfriend/girlfriend while also brother/sister? Ew! It sure is IMPOSSIBLE.

Funny, wry, and candid, this story is a riot!

Peter Michaels has never had a serious relationship. He does a lot of online dating, but things never seem to last. Living with his parents in their home on a golf course, one day his heart is struck by the beauty of the woman whose faulty shot shattered his iPad. Peter and Beth started dating and easily fell deeply in love. However, things changed when Beth took Peter home to meet her parents and Peter discovered a decades-old secret. IMPOSSIBLE is a truly laugh out loud romantic comedy. I liked Peter and Beth a lot and hoped they would each find happiness despite the devastating discovery. I could see IMPOSSIBLE becoming a TV-movie or even a one-shot series easily. I don’t want to give too much away for those who want to be surprised, but read IMPOSSIBLE. It’s a good story with solid characters and great humor!

What did I just read? :)

Funny indeed. Felt a bit naive and simple to be honest but something I have never read before.

Peter falls in love with Beth and things could be perfect but..

Unfortunately I did not finish this book. I made it just under half way before I marked it as a dnf. I never could get completely into the story. The story is focused on two people falling in love. Neither character really reached out and grabbed me, they both live at home with their parents and don't seem to really have much happening. They seem to contradict themselves several times throughout the book.

This is a hilarious book for grown ups. Peter meets the girl of his dreams only to learn they are even closer than Kissing cousins. Angry at his father he tries to have a platonic relationship with his new 1/2 sister and fails. While he father tries to balance two lives that are on an unstoppable collusion course.

Thankfully this was a short book, more of a novella in fact.
Although it describes itself as a dark romantic comedy, there was very little that was comedic about it. Apart from the casual anti semitism and sexism used for "comedic" effect, I couldn't warm to any of the characters and the plot was completely predictible.

Funny story

I really liked this book. It was a funny love story something I rarely read. About the only thing I would Change is one part of the ending. Still it's a good read.

I downloaded this book for free on my kindle. It was super predictable, and mildly funny. At least it was short and free.

Wow! A Fun Wild Ride!

Twists and one-liners abound in this crazy funny story. Loved the use of song lyrics to couch Jack's personalities. Simply a really fun read!

Quick, easy page-turning read while on the exercise bike at the gym. I hope this is all fiction and not representative of someone's real life. Lies, lies and more lies!
