Yes, I loved this second chance Male Nanny (manny) love story. The idea was cute and the writer executed her plan flawlessly. I knew the husband was a sleaze and the best friend showed her hand quickly. I know their karma will be real cold...
This book right here… whew. Let me just say, I knew he was no good and messing around with somebody. The signs were all over him coming home late and never tending to the kids.
Basil saw his chance and made sure things lined up for him and Alicia. Win over the kids first, and she’s basically his… Smart man.
Alicia knew her husband wasn’t right. That intuition was loud, and she was absolutely correct.
And since the author said at the end that there won’t be another full book… can we at least get a novella? Because there are still some things I need wrapped up.🤣

Heartwarming, Soulful, Romantic, and Sophisticated.
He came to help with the kids, but he ended up healing her heart—The Perfect Manny is a masterclass in domestic romance and undeniable chemistry. If you love the "nanny/manny" trope with a sophisticated, soulful twist, you have to read The Perfect Manny. The chemistry between the leads is sophisticated and slow-burning, building into something truly special. I loved the representation of a strong, capable man who isn't afraid to be nurturing. It’s a well-written, emotional journey that feels grounded and real. The Perfect Manny is the refreshing, heart-melting romance I didn't know I needed! Rosé Dior delivers a perfect blend of sweetness and spice. Watching the hero step into a caregiving role while maintaining that irresistible alpha energy was everything. It’s a beautiful story about family, unconventional love, and finding exactly what you need in the most unexpected place. Definitely a must read!
Bae said by any means necessary he was getting his woman. I hate that the bonus scenes will be on Patreon. Nevertheless it was still a good read. This was my first read, by this author and she did not disappoint.
I absolutely LOVED it! It was light, sweet, hilarious, and such a good healing and feel good book. For anyone that’s ever encountered heartache and pain this is a gentle reminder that GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU! It’s not often you find stories that make you feel like you’re there in real time experiencing it all in real time and this was that. I was bent over laughing at certain parts and almost in tears of sadness in others. Fear and pain could’ve kept the FMC, Alicia bound, but with support and encouragement and the fine new Manny the MMC Basil as a distraction she’s slowly letting go. Their backstories and the storyline were original and interesting. Alicia and Basil had been hurt but their coming together leads to healing, overcoming, and getting all you deserve. Their family members are so funny and unhinged. They all love hard and keep you locked in page after page especially Tray and Rae. Lock in and enjoy this beautiful story. A hands-down 10/10 for me!
Basil was the perfect manny and man for Alicia. I loved the way he loved on her and them kids. He was very intentional about what he wanted and how he wanted to give her to love she needed and deserved. I loved the bond he built with her kids and how they took to him so easily. I also enjoyed the side characters and the laughs they provided, especially the laughs from Alicia’s family.
Leo and Nora were trash humans and deserved each other. Nora’s reasoning for stabbing her best friend in the back was laughable at best because girl be for real.
This was a great second chance romance and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. My only issue was it seemed the FMC’s profession wasn’t fully researched with her being a prosecutor working for a private firm prosecuting criminal cases but since there wasn’t a whole lot of mention referring to her work life, it was more so annoying to me when it was mentioned because unless things are different in Detroit, I’ve never heard of a prosecutor working for a private firm unless it was special prosecutor trying a special high profile case. But I still enjoyed this book from beginning to end and I’m looking forward to what will come next from this author.
Baby alicia didn't jump on basil's d*** quick enough for me, I only thirty percent into this book and I was like.I let him smack it, flip it and rub it down, real quick, real talk. That man knew what he wanted. He saw them signs that god was sending him and he said that is my future. Alyssium might not have been ready for him, but baby, he was coming in hot, the chemistry was palpitating, issue was pissing me off if i'm gonna be honest like I understood her position, but I also was just like, if you just let him f*** y** silly, just once he would erase the hurt your good for nothing, low down dirty a** ex husband did to you and you'd move on quicker girl. I really just enjoyed this book, i also loved Alicia's family. They were hilarious and definitely off their rockers for sure.. i know she's saying we aint getting a book for her cousin and the best friend a basil. So I gotta go ski battle when I can over to that patreon, because I need to know what happens there.👀👀 this is for sure, was the ten out of the ten.
Basil was attracted to Alicia when he first saw her, but she let him know that she was married. However, they kept running into each other. When the opportunity arises to be her manny, he couldn't stop himself from taking the job himself. Since Alicia was still hurting so much by what her ex-husband did and the divorce, Basil had to work hard to get her to give him a chance. I loved how Basil poured love into Alicia and the children, and the way that they fell in love with him. Her ex-husband and so-called friend were both messy. I didn't feel sorry for him when the children weren't feeling him after he left. Alicia's family and Trayvon had me cackling with their shenanigans. They literally had no sense. 😂😂 This book was really good from beginning to end. He ended up being the perfect man and manny for Alicia.
Alicia and Leo's marriage began to unravel after the birth of their third child. As a successful lawyer and Leo, a fireman, their once-strong relationship deteriorated. Leo became increasingly distant, rarely spending time with the children or helping around the house. The strain of their failing marriage led to their separation.
Enter Basil, the Manny who arrived to support the family during this tumultuous time. Despite Leo's infidelity, which ultimately led to their divorce, Alicia emerged stronger. She transformed into a more resilient woman and mother, rediscovering her capacity to love and finding humor in life's challenges. Through perseverance and support, Alicia rebuilt her life, creating a vibrant and loving environment for her children. Basil and Alicia become a beautiful couple. This is a wonderful book.
I really enjoyed this book. Lately many books I have tried havent kept my attention but this got me out of that slump. It grabbed my attention from the beginning because I wanted to find out what was going on with Leo 🤨. The concept of a Manny is initially strange lol but I got onboard lol. Great balance of drama, suspense and humor. I enjoyed watching their love blossom and their families merge. I took off one star because I was a little confused with Alicia’s career - a prosecutor working for a private firm and taking clients??? Doesnt really make sense. But doesnt take away from the story overall. Disappointed that their wont be a 2nd book about the cousin because i KNOW that wouldve been good.
Whew! 😮💨 I loved Alicia and Basil’s story. Alicia’s ex was a spineless, no-good joker. I was so happy Basil stepped in to help Alicia with the kids—and with her—at least as much as she would allow. ❤️
It took her a while to trust Basil because of the hurt and trust issues caused by her ex. Still, Basil proved to be a genuinely good guy who did his best to be patient and understanding with her. In the end, Basil went from the perfect manny to the perfect lover. 💕
I didn’t realize how much I enjoy a nanny/manny trope until Basil came in here being good with them kids 😭
Something about seeing a man tap into his inner child while still knowing when to step in with guidance and structure? Yeah… that made him way more attractive to me. Basil was definitely the highlight of this read.
Now Alicia… girl. You knew that marriage was over before the paperwork caught up 😩 she made things way more complicated than they needed to be, but I was glad once she finally got out of her own way.
And honestly? By the end I was more nosy about the cousin and the best friend 👀 because once I know the main couple is settled, my attention immediately shifts to the side characters and their business lol.
I loved the story, periodt! Basil was that bae Manny who stood on business. Alicia was that phenomenal mother to three children and lawyer
Alicia, who took her vows seriously had to come to terms that both her now ex husband & best friend were trash and move on with her life. She finally got enough of his mouth, attitude,.and accusations & gave him a piece of her mind. The ex was the looser in the end because his kids wanted nothing do with him, as well.
God had someone & something better planned in life for her, Basil.
This was everything I needed and so much more. I love how everyone had their own personalities and made the story really fun and beautiful and loving. 5 stars babe as always. I'm kinda upset I read this so early because baeby Rae and Tray finna take up through der take us through deeer and I'm super here for it 🤣. He better love her and that lil miracle fiercely too. I'm ready for that next right honey ctfu
Soooo yea this book was very entertaining. Alicia family was hilarious and I loved to see them coming. That part where mom did that thing after getting the tea from her baby girl had me in stitches. . I just loved Baye and Alicia together and baby Carlee kept a smile on my face.
I really wish that there was a book for the cousin and Bestfriend. Guess I will just have to use my imagination since I don’t have a membership to the other platform!
This book is funny as hell. Ms. Anika, Aunt Lex, Raeley, and Tray need a check. They had me dying.
Baye swooped in like Superman and did what Leo couldn't. He was definitely a f@#$ boy. And Alicia's best friend was trash. I'm glad she finally understood the assignment and gave Basil a chance. He is/was the perfect Manny.
I came across this author on tic tok and this book do not disappoint Basil was that guy I loved his energy from the beginning he was a man who knew who he was and why he wanted!!! Alicia husband and ex bestfriend was garbage for what they did to her i can’t wait to find out what’s going on with her cousin and Basil bestfriend
As alway Rose Dior didn’t disappoint with the smut, however I was hoping for more originality, and not cliche drama. I was hoping that fmc life as a lawyer was explored more. I was also hoping to see the ins and out of the mmc being CEO of the manny firm as well. Possibly seeing him interact with his employees, and not just family and friends. I think the book didn’t need burning of clothes and fights at a spa to be good. The plot alone was good enough. I also thought the ending was rushed. I wanted to see the engagement scene. 😔 Yet the relationship he had with her kids made this a three star read, and worth recommending.

I loved everything about this story laughed cried shout for this couple 🥰one of my favorite yesss the kids were adorable Carlee was so cute that was her daddy day 1 🫶🏽😍😍her ex husband was terrible her blessing came in Manny form he was amazing He brought the best out in her showed her a true love from the heart Rose Dior did her thing 🙌🏾🫶🏽🫶🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾I loved it
This was a good read but there were points these two were stressing me out lol. Baye is a manny for a recently divorced single mother of 3. From the first day he seen her he was locked in. It took Ali some time to be ready for a new relationship cuz her ex was master dog. I got both sides of their struggles so I was glad when they got it together. Baye loved those kids. I love a step up daddy but this was my first time reading about a manny. All in all I enjoyed reading this. Loved the side characters. I would recommend.
Alicia had it all until she didn't and I was looking at her husband like are you serious. He was trash and I did not like him at all in this book. However, one man's loss is another man's gain and that is where Basil aka Baye came in. From the first time he saw Alicia he was interested and although she was off limits at the time he couldn't deny she was attractive. When she contacted his nanny company in need of his services, he knew that was the opportunity he needed to get to know her better and ultimately be with her.
When Basil first met Alicia's kids they took to him right away, especially her youngest daughter and it was beautiful to see. He was so good with them and formed a real bond and connection that was genuine and not forced. Alicia wasn't an easy shell to crack and they had their moments. There were times where I was side eying her because I felt she was toying with his emotions when all he wanted was to satisfy her in more ways than one and make her happy but when she finally got it together, they were good together and I enjoyed watching them be a little family.
Just love me a determined MMC! Baye said she mine and went for it. This was a good nanny to lover book. Both were about their business and Baye ain’t have no issues stepping up and loving his woman where and when she needed it. Those kids were too cute. Love the pop up of characters from previous books not connected to this one. A good read for sure.
The Perfect Manny by Rose Dior was SUCH a good read!
Baby Basil was IT from the very beginning. 🥹💕 I absolutely loved how he stepped up for those babies from day one. Yes, Alicia needed a nanny, but Basil showed up in so many other ways too. He was supportive, dependable, patient, and just an overall good man.
Now Alicia had me stressed at times because she was so back and forth, but honestly, I understood why. Given everything she had been through, her hesitation made sense even when it was frustrating.
And Leo? Whew. He was a straight-up villain in my book no ifs, ands, or buts about it. 😒
One of my favorite parts was Alicia’s family. They had me laughing throughout the entire book, but I also loved how fiercely they protected her. They were funny as hell and made sure everybody knew not to play about Alicia.
Overall, this was a heartwarming, emotional, and entertaining read with great characters, family dynamics, and a male lead that was impossible not to love. Definitely a great read, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a romance with plenty of heart.
That’s Baye!! Everyone thought Basil was crazy when he wanted to own his nanny services. Basil a.k.a Baye wanted Alicia soon as he saw her at the deli. Alicia thought her husband was cheating but she didn’t know who? She thought it was her best friend/ co-worker. She was absolutely right. Nora was a terrible friend and Leo is a mama’s boy. All that employer/ employee interaction went out the window as soon as they crossed that line. Her kids adored Mr. B as they call him. Ms. Anika tickled me when she set Leo’s truck on fire. Both of them were in their feelings. Baye threw Alicia a birthday party where all their families met for the first time. And they came out as a couple
I loved how the author did not allow the book to slow down. I was engaged from beginning to end. From the serious moments to the comic relief, I really enjoyed this book. Now, I have to go through the catalog and read more of your work. Great Job!!!!
Let’s go to the good parts - A meet cute at the deli An intro to the babies A strong FMC, with minimal dramatics A strong MMC, with the shyts And a family that was a whole book themselves 😂🤣 I will say the MCs got it with the back and forth petty wars, but they finally got it together.🙁 I know hearing “ Daddy” for the first time had everyone misty eyed 🥹 Wait, what’s up with the cousin and bro/friend?? This is my first read from this author and I enjoyed it!
