Fresh and Real are moving up and up in the underworld. They are continually making moves and you have to wonder where their moves will lead? What will be the endgame? Fresh is a handful and you have to keep your eye on him. You have to know your opponent and what they are capable of doing. Real is the opposite of Fresh. You definitely need to keep your eye on him but you can also learn from him. Real is thorough and smart. Kicking it along the way with Real and Fresh is Lune. Now Lune is another to keep your eye on as he is not as stable as he seems.

These young players are moving in the underworld and what will become of them? Will their reflection in the mirror become too much? Will they still recognize real or will they become lost to the underworld steadily trying to make it to the top?

I am giving three stars. Starling followed up with another read that keeps your attention. His writing has grown from the first book and he will be one to watch.

Great follow up to part one....in this book we see Real continue to evolve into the natural born leader that he is...and Chaos the street gang lives up their moniker wrecking havoc in the mean Virginia streets. Real finds Halle, a woman who shows him another side of life, and Real has to make the biggest decision of his life. Meanwhile, the enemy has shown his face and it's kill or be killed. The Black detective is still pressing forward trying to find any lead he can.....until he gets the big break that he thought he wanted....but what will it cost him? This was another great read but the errors definitely continue to take away from the story. With better editing, this series could be that much better.

Wow

Great continuation from the first book. I can't wait to read the next book. Shawn Starling did a great job with this book too. Real was a beast. Can't wait to see what is next for him. I would highly recommend this book.
