Brian Godawa has been a professional filmmaker, writer, and designer for over 20 years. His creative versatility was born of a passion for both intellect and imagination, both left-brain and right-brain. The result: Brian is an artisan of word, image, and story that engages heart, mind, and soul. Just think, "Renaissance Man."
Truth that is so big bring tears of Joy when I read this author's work
I began reading Brian Godawa's works about 2 years ago. It's been life changing. His background in archeology and his studies into ancient history have helped me find knowledge to many of my own universal quests. So much has just clicked, many questions I have pondered in my own studies have made much come to life. I find myself more aware of pitfalls and challenges that life brings us as a Christian. Many of the questions I have had were answered since I can't go on archeological digs or the ability to study ancient language . If you are a fan of CS Lewis , Mr. Godawa will continue what Mr Lewis and his vision started. His background and resume is worth noting as his work shows many hours of consideration and contemplation and an astounding ability to piece eternal puzzles together. My thanks for having been blessed with many hours of musings that now bringme hours of biblical study and ancient history!
A Feast of Fiction: Brian Godawa Serves Another Stunning Course
Reading a Brian Godawa novel is a bit like visiting your favourite restaurant, you know exactly what you’re getting, and somehow it’s delicious every single time.
Daniel: Exile in Babylon continues that tradition with flair. It’s gripping, imaginative, and thought‑provoking in all the right ways.
If you like Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti, you’ll love this Bible novel series. Better yet, It’s like Ted Dekker meets JRR Tolkien. Spiritual warfare, biblically grounded novel series.
That’s the flavour Godawa serves up, bold, grounded, and cinematic.
For fans of the “Chronicles of the Watchers” series you will love this retelling of the prophet Daniel’s story. It is tremendously fascinating how the story of Daniel can be developed to make the context of ancient Babylon interesting and great storytelling. The level of research will be appreciated with the coherence of historical and Biblical narrative to present a spiritual battle that is not a sermon. The only downside is the wait for Part 2.
Ohhhhh myyyy I love books by Brian Godawa & this one is great. You understand so much about what goes on both in the natural & 'up there' in the heavenlies!! My sister also tried Brian's book for the first time with Daniel & is now reading more of his books. Love your books Brian!! Excited for book 2, write faster (😉🤭)
I look forward to the next release of this trilogy. After reading many of this authors writings this book was just as great as all his other releases. If you have never read any of his books you are missing some really awesome Christian fiction. He always refers to biblical texts throughout. His imagination is beyond words. Excellence at its best.
Brought Daniel and his three friends to real life and their commitment to serve the only true God. Even though I have known about Daniel and his three friends from a child in Sunday school, I enjoyed how Mr Godawa described their daily lives, their fears, their joys, and their accomplishments as captives in a foreign country.
Reading this book made me reread the books in the Bible about Daniel and Babylon with new eyes. I love how Brian Godawa utilizes all the historical documents to write a book that teaches understanding but Honors God.
A masterpiece of biblical integrity, suspense and character drama! Absolutely felt like I was back in time experiencing this event w all the twists and turns! Godawa masterfully did his research and brought cultural insight to this biblical story. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this book. It brought to life each character. While the story line was brought from the imagination of the author, it was very believable.
Another book by Godawa that turns into a movie s within my imagination as I read it. Such amazing writing, the descriptions, characters, conflicts, all working together harmoniously within the outline of Scripture. It's glorious and edifying.
Another great novel by Brian Godawa. Such a great retelling of the story of the prophet Daniel, imagining both the world we see and the spiritual world we cannot. Book two will release in late 2026 or early 2027.
