This immersive, journal-driven solo RPG is a masterclass in tension and atmosphere. The Intrusion Event excels at making you feel the isolation and creeping dread of a failing deep-space research station. The mechanics are minimalist, favoring narrative weight and consequence over heavy stat-tracking, which perfectly complements the theme of a reality that is literally, and figuratively, coming apart. If you enjoy interactive, sci-fi horror stories that emphasize atmosphere and player choice, this is an exceptional experience.

This is a quick science fiction story, but it does a good job building tension with a simple premise. What starts as a routine relay audit slowly turns into something much darker as the logs do not match and the operator realizes the job may actually be a trap. The mystery unfolds in a steady way, and the concept of buried signals and altered records creates a nice sense of paranoia. If you enjoy short sci fi stories with a mystery at the center, this one is worth the read.

I’ve tried a few solo RPGs, but this one stands out for its atmosphere. From the start, it does a nice job drawing you into the mystery and keeping you engaged. The prompts and choices make the experience feel interactive and meaningful, and the story builds in a really satisfying way. Playing it with a notebook made it even more immersive. If you enjoy sci-fi horror and like solo adventures that pull you into the narrative, this is a nice pick.

Atmospheric, unsettling, and cleverly structured, this solo RPG blends narrative fiction with light mechanics to create a tense exploration of isolation, unreliable systems, and creeping cosmic intrusion. The journal-style design invites imagination while the branching acts maintain momentum, making each choice feel consequential in a haunting, slow-burn science-fiction mystery experience.

NebulaScript Solo RPG: The Intrusion Event surprised me with how alive the experience feels for a solo adventure. The intrusion mechanic constantly throws unexpected twists into the story, so the narrative never settles into something predictable. One moment you think you’re steering the plot, and the next an event forces you to rethink your character’s choices and survival strategy.
