Whitley Strieber

He has recently made significant advances in understanding this phenomenon, and has published his new discoveries in Solving the Communion Enigma.

“Of course, one can take the comfortable road and say that I am lying, that the descriptions in this book are hyperbole or hallucination. But they are not. I am telling the truth of what happened to me, and the implications are there for anybody to see. Not only are we not alone, we have a life in another form-and it is on that level of reality that the visitors are primarily present."

After all, the limits of the physical have been expanding steadily for generations. We have gone from thinking that the all celestial objects revolved around our planet to understanding that planet are more numerous in the universe than grains of sand are on Earth."

Provocative and illuminating
Written with Mr. Strieber’s signature honesty, integrity, and exhaustive self-examination, this book is both provocative and illuminating. It is as much a record of a soul journey as a fascinating recounting of his experiences with beings of unknown origin. That it is an initiatory journey, there can be no doubt. I found it especially inspiring since it provides a running perspective of his present understandings of the Visitors juxtaposed with his perspective 40 years prior when he wrote the original Transformation book. I feel a significant shift in our relationship with these beings is upon us. This book acts as a vital primer in preparing us for that shift—and the concomitant shift in our own consciousness.

What a profound joy to revisit this book, with updates and commentary, as I have the original 1st edition copy of Transformation. A book I read then with extreme and sincere questions and also wonder while I was a student in NYC. In many ways I still possess the same wonder of questions today as I did then, who are we in the vast Universe? and this in turn keeps me young. To approach the world with wonder and awe is a great gift and this book is a lived reminder that, “what we need are more questions,” to quote the authors wife, Anne.

This book is an updated version of Whitley Strieber's "Transformations" book.
The original book is included in full, but additional sections, commentary and thoughts are added to the original book by the author. Given the development of the UAP/UFO subject in the past couple of years, this book makes fascinating reading.
Strieber is perhaps the most (in)famous of experiencers of Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) and his lifelong story of contact with the "visitors" (as he calls them) is both fascinating and chilling.
I find Strieber to be a remarkable and fascinating man. I'm pretty sure anyone else who had experienced what he's been through would either no longer be with us, or be a jibbering wreck. Strieber, however, gives detailed and thoughtful accounts of his experiences, and offers fascinating and profound insights into what they might mean.
As the UFO/UAP topic, and indeed the topic of life after death, raises higher and higher in the public consciousness, I believe Strieber's books are going to become more important.

Excellent!
I have ALWAYS believed Whitley Strieber's telling of what he underwent at the hands of the visitors. You simply cannot make this stuff up! Excellent read! The man is truly a gifted author.

The updates from 40 yrs later make this book worth the re-read.
as with all writings about the phenomenon, it's best to see what he has to day, discard his conclusions and draw your own -- or, if you're like me, draw no conclusion at all.

I had missed this book, along with Breakthrough (which I will obtain asap and read) when I acquired Communion. This book correlated a lot with my own experiences though not as extreme. Through out the book I was nervous by the end relieved and felt calm. Communion was very hard for me to read when I first got it, at no fault to the author. I look forward to reading Breakthrough.
