Welcome to Seaman's Cove: Part One

Rate this book
Everyone tells Madison Grant she’s chasing a myth, but she knows mermaids and their ancient city of Ocearus are real. As an omega, she has to work twice as hard to prove herself, so when her thesis proposal is rejected by the dean of anthropology, Madison decides to take things into her own hands.

When she’s confronted with an honest-to-gods merman, her adventure kicks into high gear. Navigating secret cities, underwater dangers, and meddling exes turn what should have been a simple expedition into a fight for their lives.

Things become even more complex when Madison discovers not only is the merman her scent match, but so is the very dean who denied her research. Add in his best friend, a marine biologist, and you have a recipe for high heat, high stakes, and twists you’ll never see coming.

Welcome to Seaman's Cove is the second book in the Adventurverse series, but can be read as a standalone. It is intended for an 18+ audience.

Welcome to Seaman’s Cove Part One
By: Clover Holloway and Thea Masen
Format: eARC
Genre: Romance, Omegaverse
4/5 🌶️

When Madison Grant’s thesis proposal about mermaids and their ancient city of Ocearus is rejected by the Dean of Anthropology, she decides she MUST prove herself as an omega and scientist by finding Ocearus. While exploring a cave, she discovers an actual merman named Caspian and that he is her mate. Soon, Madison finds herself and her new mate in a race to explore a secret hidden city, along with the Dean of Anthropology and his best friend Phoenix.

Y’all. This book!! I already need Part Two like I need air. I had such an amazing time reading. I absolutely adore the characters and their development, the plot was engaging and twisty, the spice was spicing, and I couldn’t put this book down. Now technically this an Adventureverse Novel, so there are mentions of characters from Welcome to Bonetown, but it is not necessary for the plot to read that prior to this book; Welcome to Seaman’s above can be read as standalone.

This is a duology, so be prepared to immediately need book two because that cliffhanger is BIG. Thankfully Part 2 is expected in November 2026, so the wait could definitely be worse.

I was really excited to ARC this story because I’ve previously enjoyed books from both Thea Masen and Clover Holloway, and seeing them collaborate gave me high hopes. And they delivered. Because how could I not love a book that combines omegaverse, why choose, mermen, lost cities, and professor x student dynamics all into one story? That combination basically feels custom-built for me.

Technically, this is connected to a previous novel in the “Adventureverse” world featuring different characters, and you can bet I’ll be picking that one up soon too. But don’t worry, Seaman’s Cove absolutely works as a standalone entry into the universe.

If you’re newer to omegaverse, I’d definitely recommend doing a quick dive into the basics beforehand. Terms like heats, knotting, slick, scents, and pack dynamics are woven naturally into the story, so having a little background knowledge will make the experience smoother.

The worldbuilding here was honestly one of my favorite parts. While the existence of mermen is unknown to society, the hunt for a lost city slowly opens the door to an entirely new hidden world. The mystery and discovery elements kept me fully invested the whole way through.

One thing I especially loved was how the pack dynamics developed. A lot of omegaverse stories start with an already established pack just waiting for their missing piece, but this one takes a different approach. None of the alphas are previously bonded, and each relationship is developed gradually throughout the story. It gives every character room to shine individually while still building believable chemistry between all of them. I was genuinely invested in every single character and already attached to this pack before the book even ended.

The tension throughout kept me glued to the pages, desperately hoping for their HEA while fully knowing there were still plenty of obstacles ahead. And after THAT ending, I absolutely cannot wait to dive back into this world and see where the story goes next.

I love the Adventureverse and I’m low key convinced that the authors have written the series specifically for me. Do they KNOW I studied archaeology in college and need a pack of my own? Welcome to Bone Town is one of the greatest reading delights of my life so I raced to grab this one too.

And I loved it. Maybe even more? Every single note, from the spice to the humor to the danger and treasure hunt, is perfection.

Read this if you love:
* delicious alphas
* professor Indiana Jones
* Splash, National Treasure and Atlantis
* spicy MMFM with an additional M to show up soon (please!)
* overbearing parents and the feisty adult children who push back to create their own happily ever after
* treasure hunt races

What do you mean we have to wait until NOVEMBER for the second half of Madi and her pack’s story?!? Thea and Clover, you’re killing me.

Great second installment in the adventurverse series. This series has such a fun and unique perspective on omegaverse that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The authors do a great job of creating a compelling plot line and characters that have chemistry. I’m holding off on a Star rating as this is only part 1 of the story and ends on a cliffhanger- I want to see how this resolves before reacting as a whole, but overall recommend!

“I’ve got you, omega,” my steady alpha whispers. “And I’m never letting you go.”

✔️MMMF omegaverse why choose romance
✔️mermaids are real (language barrier)
✔️accidental bonding
✔️professor x student (forbidden)
✔️best friends to lovers
✔️part one of a duet within the Adventureverse Series
✔️ends on a cliffhanger
✔️no 3rd act breakup

This is such a fun book, and I read it in one sitting because there was no way I could put it down. Be aware that it does end on a cliffhanger, as it is part one of a duet within the Adventureverse Series (part two will be released in November 2026). You don’t have to read Welcome to Bonetown before this book, as that is a complete standalone, however it’s a good introduction to this world and the archaeological adventure vibes. The authors state that this book pays homage to Splash, The Little Mermaid, and Atlantis, and that is an excellent way to describe this book. Part cute romance, part adventure tale, this book had me hooked from the first page and I can’t wait to see how everything resolves in book two!

The main characters in this book are Madison (FMC, omega), Dr. Hunter Anderson (MMC, alpha), Caspian (MMC, alpha), and Phoenix (MMC, alpha). There are many hints dropped about the pack growing in book two and I am so here for it. This is a build-a-pack situation, and when Madison and Caspian meet, they instantly realize they are scent matched mates and bond before knowing each other’s names. There is a language barrier and Caspian seems confused and intrigued by the world around him for good reason, he is a merman. She is looking for the abandoned city of Ocearus and its library, convinced that it is hidden from the world, but Hunter won’t approve her project, just not for the reason she thinks. All of the MCs are her scent matched mates but with scent cancellers and blockers, they never realized, and it makes things just a bit complicated, since Phoenix is in love with his best friend (Hunter) and he is in an open relationship with a beta that we haven’t met yet.

There is plenty of spice, but plenty of adventure as well. There are villains and danger, but also sweet swoony moments. I am excited to see how the cliffhanger resolves, but also how the relationships evolve in part two. It’s fun to see the combination of contemporary with mythical creatures and though there are lingering questions about the practicality of a human being bonded to a merman, I know everything will work out perfectly in the end!

*Thank you so much to the authors (Thea Masen and Clover Holloway) for the opportunity to ARC read this book! All opinions are my own*

OMGGG WTFFFF GIVE ME PART TWO NOW. I LOVED THIS ARC SO MUCH. Madison has been obsessed with the lost city of Ocearus, the long-lost underwater city, for as long as she can remember. she wants to do her thesis on it, but the asshole dean Anderson has rejected it. stubborn and brave omega that she is she's determined to find it in her own and thats what she plans to do but before she can do any real looking at the cove she spots a washed absolutely stunning man. he has gorgeous blue hair, ethereal skin, and weird hand tattoos that remind her of something she can't put her mind on.. oh, and he also doesn't speak a lick of English. she knows she must help him but oh my god he smells so good and now they're bonded and oh my fucking god he's also a merman. just when she thinks things couldn't get crazier she learns she's also scent matched to the dean who denied her and now his bestie that he's totally not in love with has joined the mix and they're all on an adventure together to make their omega dream come true. when the expedition turns deadly and things get out of hand, will they be able to stay togetehr or will their whole worlds come crashing down? this was everything I wanted and more. listen I love welcome to bone town but this blew that out of the waters(get it) I don't know maybe its cause i love the whole ocean theme cause I'm a water girly or maybe it was just the book. Thea and clover did so good with this. it was so fun and so entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat so when I was watching the percent read thing slowly increase and we still haven't got to a conclusion I about lost it. I cant wait I need more rn😫 everyone is just so good togetehr and genuinely i can't choose who I love more. I never wanted this to end and I also want to join this expedition team minus the aqua-cats. everything was just so good and oh my the spice was panty dropping. especially you Mr Dean Anderson 😫dirtiest mouth around. yes sir push it back it😝 plus that group scene might very been the hottest ever. anyways for side notes, we love the bone town reference, happy trail of heaven, let your jewels be free, werk pee-nuts kwad kump-ass shampain, poisoned by spicy food, semen cove, we love old pervy man hunter, "motherfucking tail " valid response, mad mate tail swim, knotting hill, knot your princess, betawatch, omg tickle that cervix holy fuck, squishy?? really??, I am also too old for this, chadrick, thadwick, brad-dick, dickrod, we love you fishybillionaire47, sabertoothtigerxarticsealxmarlin. Absolutely zero notes. I just need part two asap😫

Can I just take a moment to acknowledge the cliffhanger this book left me on??? WHY didn't I wait until the second part came out like normal?! That said, the book was really good. It tickled the child in my brain that still loves Disney movies like "the little mermaid," "Atlantis," and "The Thirteenth Year," not to mention the show "H2O."

Welcome to Seaman's Cove (part one) is a why choose omegaverse romance with fantasy/lost city elements. Told from alternating first person pov, the book follows archaeology doctoral student Madison Grant as she seeks to continue her late aunt's legacy and find the lost city of Ocearus. Very quickly, she makes a surprise discovery in the first cave she explores that changes the trajectory of her research (and life)! I loved it because despite its fast pace, I felt connected to the characters and rooted for them to succeed. Despite the somewhat dangerous adventures, it's a fairly cozy read. Not much angst and you know things are going to work out, eventually. I also appreciated the couple of pictures provided that helped visualize some of the artefacts and designs. I will absolutely be reading the second book!!

Saying much more than that would absolutely spoil it, but it was fast-paced, full of adventure, and most importantly--SPICY. If you're looking for an extremely detailed world, this is probably not the fantasy for you. If you want hot professors and mermen, this is absolutely the book for you! It has the following tropes and themes, among others: surprise/accidental mating, scent-match, why-choose, polyamory, MMFMM, AAABO, suspense, adventure, age gap, heat spikes, professor/student, best friends to lovers, boyfriends are boyfriends, "screw-it" moments, protective mates, insta-love, non-human mates, and language barriers. Some of the content warnings are: cliffhanger, parental neglect/high expectations, birth control tampering (not by harem), heat spikes with somewhat dub-con (the guys are as respectful as possible), dangerous situations, swimming long distances without being able to come up for air, entitled alphaholes, and accidental bonding.

I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

As a millennial this book passes the nostalgia vibe check. If you have ever enjoyed stories about merpeople (hello Aquamarine) or Atlantis this is a must read.
Madison is an anthropology student whose area of study is the lost ancient city of Ocearus. She struggles to be taken seriously as an Omega in academia. Her aunt passed on her love of Ocearus to her and was tragically lost in her own search. Madison shockingly meets a merman, Caspian, who happens to be her scent match.

While she is dealing with the knowledge that merpeople exist her thesis proposal is denied by Hunter, her professor and dean that happens to give smoking hot daddy vibes. She won’t be stop by his denial and continues her search for Ocearus but she won’t have to do it alone. Hunter happens to have his best friend (yea sure…just best friends…) Phoenix who is a marine biologist visiting as this search for Ocearus unfolds.

This book has insta-love scent match, slow burn will they won’t they, and pining because it’s taboo all in one story. There is an MMC to match any flavor preference. These main characters are messy, lovable and hilarious. Each of the MMCs has such different and complimentary personalities that any omega would be happy to have them. Maddie is intelligent, brave, driven and deeply empathetic. I couldn’t put this book down and was only forced to stop reading by my silly day job (ya girls gotta pay the bills). The adventure of part 1 gave me all the feels of Indiana Jones, The Goonies, and Atlantis. The ending of part 1 is just the perfect cliff hanger that has me jonesing for part 2.

Once again another book that has me glued to it. I inhaled it. Absorbed it. Couldn't put it down.
I got laughter and so much overwhelming love for Phoenix and Caspian.

We've got Alpha's and an Omega. Now what makes this one different? A merman Alpha! I am so invested in their love and what is developing between them and sad that I have so long to wait. But it's fine...... it'll be fine. Now the other's....... Professor grumpy pants, Hunter and Phoenix are the remaining Alpha's. Phoenix is always on the go, away and with Seb or out doing things as he's a marine biologist. He's got a partner Seb who's a billionaire and not a people person and also not interested in a pack... Then Hunter the professor, dean. He can't be with her, but what happens when biology takes control? Our Omega is exactly as she should be. She's independent and strong willed and willing to go against her family's wishes. She eager with her thesis and her entire world view changes when she meets Caspian in a cave. Caspian not knowing English initially is awkward on land, doesn't know what things are and can't communicate. But one things for sure, his need for the Omega is so strong and next thing you know accidental bonding. Now what do you do when you're trying to find a sunken city, accidentally bonding a merman, lusting after your professor and find yourself falling for the Alpha who keeps cracking jokes?

I WILL KEEP RECOMMENDING THESE BOOKS. The pack that is forming is beautiful and so unique with their love for each other, their goals, and of course we also have Caspian who adds something entirely new. The tropes for the book are 100% on point and I cannot wait for part 2.

This was such a fun omegaverse to read. I literally finished it in 3 hours because I could not put it down even though I was fighting for my life to not fall asleep (help staying up late in your 30s is hard).

An academic setting but also with a MERMAN alpha? Excuse me?! Color me gobsmacked. I’m completely obsessed with this concept and the way all the characters interact with one another and overcome their…. Cultural differences. I was absolutely giddy reading this book. And let’s not overlook the hot professor alpha and his flirty best friend. My god is it hot in here or is it just these characters?

I loved how fast paced this story was, jumping RIGHT IN to the meat of it. There was not a single dull moment. I will say, I would have maybe liked a little bit more character development before everything was ratcheted up to 11, but even so I’m not mad about the way it played out. I have a love hate relationship with how obvious some of the details were that felt less like breadcrumbs and more like neon signs pointing to what is to come next. Again, even so, I’m not mad about it. I had a good time reading and felt my heart soar with joy, which is the reason I read romance. While I have a very good idea about what is to come in part 2, I cannot wait to read that unfold. It’s about to be SO JUICY!!!

Highly recommend. It’s very much Atlantis meets H2O / Aquamarine coded, which is SO much fun.

I received an advance review copy for free from Book Sirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved this so much that I'm off to preorder the second part of the duet (November seems so far away) and looking to grab the first book in the series (the first book isn't necessary to read this book).

"Spicy adventure story" was exactly what I had been looking for. You're pitching this as a reverse gender The Little Mermaid x Indiana Jones? Sign me up and give it to me now. And it delivered on what it promised!

Now, everything happens really fast in this book, with consensual bites happening at the 6% mark. I know, right? But the author does a good job building up the relationship after the fact (even if it felt a bit rushed, probably the biggest knock against the book). The pacing smooths out at the halfway mark, which allows you to settle in more with the relationships and the mystery.

This does feature MM content and everyone is hot for everyone else (which, let's be honest, is my reading wheelhouse). All of the characters feel balanced out (once you get past the rush of the beginning). I felt like each of them got a fair amount of page time. They might not be deeply developed characters, but they have been split up equally in the book. If I'm being a bit nitpicky, I think there could be more nuance in the way each one is written. At one point while reading this after a long day, it was sort of hard to tell (or remember) whose POV I was reading.

Maybe one negative: Branson and company aren't written well. They're like cliche high school bullies even though they should be in their mid 20s at least.

Warning: this does have a cliffhanger ending.

Final verdict: If you loved The Little Mermaid, Indiana Jones, or even National Treasure, but wanted them all gender bent, then this is absolutely for you. It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it so freaking much. I would recommend it to RH readers looking for poly relationships, treasure hunting, competent characters across the board.

This was so much fun & felt so nostalgic! As someone who grew up loving The Little Mermaid, Splash, and Atlantis, this one just hit me in my feels and was such a joy to read! That cliffhanger though?! I can’t wait for part two! This is technically book two of the Adventurverse series and part one of this duology. You can read this one without reading book one in the series, I did, but will be rectifying that soon! I have read a few from this author duo and this is my favorite yet! In this one, we follow Madison, an anthropology doctoral student, looking for the ancient city of Ocearus. But, her professor/dean of anthropology, denies her thesis. Madison is determined to find Ocearus, and decides to search a nearby cove on her own. She happens upon her scent match, who just so happens to be a merman! They accidentally bond, but now need to figure out how to communicate. As it turns out, her professor/dean is also her scent match, along with his marine biologist best friend. We also hear about a socially awkward beta that may become involved in this group in the next book! I can’t wait for the next!! I’ll be going back to Welcome to Bone Town, the first book in the series to keep me busy!

Thank you Thea Masen & Clover Holloway for the ARC!

Madison Grant has a dream; not the one about Dean Hunter Anderson… but the one where she seeks out Ocearus for her thesis. She's determined to find this mythical land, even if she has to go out on her own. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Plans that include – a merman that shouldn't exist, her taciturn professor, and his flirty and fun best friend – all of which are her perfect scent matches. Expeditions go sideways, chaos unfolds, and someone just lost their clothes 🫣.

I have been following Thea Masen for a while, so when she put out the call for ARC readers, I signed up without fully reading the blurb. I trusted her style completely and getting to meet Clover Holloway through the novel would be a plus. However, I 100% did not see the Omegaverse signs and when I did, I wasn’t sure what to expect. “Welcome to Seaman’s Cove: Part 1” became my very first foray in the Omegaverse. And it was probably the most fun I've had reading a book. I was having so much fun that I was reading every chance I could and finished it in a little over 24 hours. I may just be adding this genre(?)/trope(?) to my guilty pleasure pile.

This novel had explosive passion, exceptional yearning, and amazing humor. And, that cliffhanger? My jaw was on the floor. Just like Madison, I fell for each character and how they developed over the course of the book. Despite being my first time here in the Omegaverse, I will be back. Especially for Part 2!!!!

Welcome to Seaman's Cove:Part One.

Yes you read that right, Part ONE. I have FEELINGS about this! My initial feeling was, WHY? Arms in the air like so many over dramatic actors in the rain yelling at no one whilst some random person looks on. Then I read the book and I realized it was a kindness. Because I think if everything had been in part one that I am guessing is going to go down in part two (which I'm not going to speculate on here) I might have gone to my doctor for palpitations or suspected hot flashes, or something. I already thought I was bordering on combusting at points.
This book takes us back and forth from in the fire to just smoldering and PINING in the BEST of ways.
This book is a mix of Splash, Disney’s Atlantis, Indiana Jones, and the best version of the game “what’s that smell?” (That’s not exclusive to this book. I think that about every Omegaverse book. It’s the world where you get to play that game and in these books it’s almost never something unpleasant.)

Like I said it’s a part one, and now here I am… sitting… PINING. Clutching my emotional support water cup praying it's time for part two. But it’s still only May… I will be patient. I am a rational adult… maybe, mostly.

This has very bit of humour and that sense of atlantis vibes that was promised! It flows so well from the first book in the series keeping that same sense of adventure mixed with the light hearted danger and low angst! The plot kept me invested, enjoyed the spicy scenes and had the ideal balance between them and the action scenes to keep you wanting more! The ending of this makes me wanting part two tomorrow if only it was possible! If you loved the first book in this universe then you'll enjoy this as equally!

This was definitely med to fast burn based on Madison's and Caspian's relationship but it takes away nothing from the relationship building and development! We all love the older professor and Hunter definitely delivers those vibes with a side of having a commanding presence. I'm loving Phoenix as the light hearted character whose very flirty and fun. Caspian is my current favourite with showing a slight bratty side to Hunter and adore his devotion and loving personality to Madison. Plus we have the mysterious Sebastian to make an appearance next time which I'm excited to see!

Drowning in This Story in the Best Way

This was such a fun and captivating read. I’ve always been deeply fascinated by The Little Mermaid, and this gender-bent take was absolutely phenomenal.

Madison is an anthropology student obsessed with uncovering the mysteries surrounding the lost city of Ocearus. While searching for clues, she unexpectedly stumbles upon something even more life-changing, a mate.

Caspian was such an intelligent and intriguing character, and not just because he’s a merman. He was easily my favorite of Madison’s men. Hunter, the Dean of Anthropology, spends so much time fighting his instincts and trying to understand why Madison captured his attention from the very beginning. Then Phoenix storms into the picture and completely turns Hunter’s world upside down in the best chaotic way.

I loved the way they all supported, protected, and cared for one another. Their dynamic felt emotional, intense, and genuine, which made the story even more addictive. And that cliffhanger? It might actually cause me bodily harm because I need book two immediately.

I received a copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I love that omegaverse brings this sexual tension and insta-connection of scent matches that really cranks up the heat. This is like if Splash, The Little Mermaid, and Atlantis got thrown into a blender and you added a heavy dose of omegaverse and smut.

And I ate up every single second of it.

You gave me a merman, a hot older professor, his flirty best friend, and a mysterious beta billionaire. Like what more could a girl want?

The plot was adventurous and fun. I love all the little nods to movies we all loved, and all the new things added to make it all blend together.

The characters were HOT and adorable. The relationships varied from insta-love, to slowwwwww burn. I mean we didnt even get to officially MEET one of the mmcs (honestly kinda rude, but the anticipation is killing me).

The smut was hot and right out of the gate. I am obsessed with the trope of where an MMC doesnt know what anything is and has to learn/be taught.

The cliffhanger ending was BRUTAL. I need book two like NOW dammit. Thea and Clover, you're on my list. I will be harassing you until book two is in my hands.

READ THIS. If you love omegaverse and the nostalgia of 90s and early 2000s movies, you'll absolutely LOVE this book.

I read an ARC of this book and I couldn’t put it down! I finished it in 24 hours because it was so much fun and it sucked me in.

This book is clearly meant to be a good time and that’s exactly what this is! It’s fun, entertaining, it features a fun quest (they’re searching for a lost city), plenty of spice (😮‍💨) and, as we expect in any Omegaverse book, no shortage of hot alphas! There’s a merman!! A hot professor. The professor’s irreverent best friend. A mysterious billionaire beta boyfriend off page, who I can’t wait to meet in the next book… And of course our beloved Omega, Madi. 😍

I loved all of the characters, but especially, Madi. She is smart, strong, and determined to prove herself in the world of archeology by finding a lost city. I really enjoyed her journey and rooting for her!

This book is part one in what I believe is going to be a duet, so it does leave you on a cliffhanger and what an incredible cliffhanger it is! I can’t wait to read the next one to find out what happens next.

Thank you to the authors for the gifted digital copy. I purchased a physical copy on my own. All opinions are my own.

To master every language.

A why choose omegaverse story filled with adventure and off-the-charts heat.

I’d also consider it a PNR since one of the MMCs is a merman.

Our FMC is such a sweetheart, but that doesn’t mean she’s easily intimidated or willing to give up on something she wants.
She knows exactly what she wants and has the courage to fight for what she believes in, even when people tell her not to.

One of those things is proving that her aunt was right. To do that, she needs to find something mythical that most people don't believe exists.

And our MMCs are all so different and have such strong personalities. Some are funny, some are grumpy. Some are curious, while others struggle to believe.
They may still have feelings and desires between themselves to sort out and confront — at least I’m rooting for them to do so — but they all know exactly how they feel about our FMC.

With a super exciting plot where something is always happening, the story keeps us completely hooked.

So it didn’t surprise me at all that the cliffhanger gave us even more “What?!” moments. It keeps getting more intense, leaving us wondering, “Now what?”

This is the perfect combination of Atlantis meets Indiana Jones meets Omegaverse - and I am here for it. It was such a fun read, and so easily devourable in a single day and I am already willing to beg for part two, because it had me that hooked and the story flowed that well.

I am addicted to Masen's OV books since the Olympicverse started, and that obsession has definitely grown to include Holloway and the Adventureverse. It ticks all the boxes of my favourite movies and myths combined with Omegaverse for a very unique story, filled with action, scent matches, a little bit of the paranormal, and adventure (yes, yes, there is also a sprinkling of spice throughout, too - you know I'd never forget to mention that!).

The uniqueness of this series never fails to grab me, and I'm so intrigued as to what more is going on from the little breadcrumbs Masen and Holloway have scattered through the narrative. I love the characters they've created in Madi, Caspian, Hunter and Phoenix, and I cannot wait to see where part two of the duet takes not only the story (seriously, I'm hooked on the mythology aspect of it as much as the OV part) and the budding relationships in the pack.

Trying to write this without giving anything away, but I definitely recommend if you're like me and love adventure and mythology and OV and all the goodness that comes with forced proximity, scent-matched mates and a little bit of unknown. (Also, I don't want the weird cat-seal creatures after me if I were to inadvertently give spoilers - and hopefully that in itself is not a spoiler!).

Praying it's not too long a wait for part two, and also slightly (okay, majorly) praying Masen and Holloway keep going with this series because I love it that much.

Thank you to the authors for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Oh my goodness!! For starters, I just want to say I loved Bone Town, but when I tell you I LOVED The Seaman’s Cove you should know I mean it! I absolutely loved Madi and how she was so determined and knew exactly what she wants! Caspian was the perfect merman and I won’t lie- the blue hair, tail, and eight-pack abs kinda did it for me. Now when Hunter (who is totally giving melt-my-pants-off-hot-mister-professor-sir vibes) came onto the page I was more than happy to sign up for his class 😉. And I love Phoenix! He made me laugh definitely more than once. But let us not forget Sebastian…I’m crossing all my fingers and toes on my theory of who he is. Ah I just love this book! It was fun, adventurous, creative, entertaining, and oh so steamy. This book being MMMF was the cherry on top in my humble opinion. I wish I had a time machine to November when I can read the next one, because that cliff hanger was a doozy! I can barely wait to see what happens next! 🤩

Thank you to Thea Masen & Clover Holloway for sending me the E-ARC💜 I had the absolute best time reading this!!

Welcome to Seaman's Cove: Part One (Adventureverse) by Thea Masen & Clover Holloway

This is a duology, so be prepared to immediately need book two because that cliffhanger is brutal. But don't fret thankfully Part 2 is to be released in November 2026.

This is the second book in the "adventureverse" but it's new characters and can be read without reading the first book.

This book is a true escape from reality, it's a easy read with interesting plot lines ( lost city, merpeople). also it's so so hot and spicy this takes place in a omegaverse with why choose. I am so glad we didn't have to choose. There is a delicious hot blue haired stranger, the Dean of the University (bit older, academic type, makes the rules) and his best friend a care free world traveler, marine biologist and shit stirrer.

Its the perfect summer read but be prepared for the longing of the release of book 2

Thank you Thea Masen & Clover Holloway for trusting me with an eARC

Everyone wants to find an Atlantis.

This sweet omegaverse romance filled with quirky characters. There’s the Dean of Anthropology, Hunter Anderson, a sexy hunk of maleness that Madison has always had a crush on, Madison the doctorate student trying to finish college, Phoenix, Hunter’s best friend and a whirl wind of energy and love and is a marine biologist, Capsian, the unknown guy with naturally blue hair and has a tail sometimes and last but not least the mysterious Sebastien, Phoenix’s current love. Madison wants to do her thesis about the lost city of Ocearus where humans and merfolk lived in harmony, but the dean rejects her thesis's topic in a very stern and kind of mean. He knows how her Aunt April died in a landslide while looking for Ocearus. Phoenix gets involved when he finds out Caspian’s secret. Will anyone find Ocearus? Will they be alive when they find it? This book ends in a cliffhanger; I hate cliffhangers but never fear Part 2 is coming our way...

5⭐️5🌶️

Just finish this read it took in a while to no fault of the read I was trying to do life 😣😣😣 but once again Thea and Clover took me on an adventure and I wanna to stay lost in every page this is definitely at 5 on the 🌶️meter it the slick that gets me everytime.

I cannot thank Thea enough for introducing me to the genre of omegaverse. Multiple pov, personalities , hang ups, mental reps always do me in. And the elements of primal needs, senses, heats and knots are so smutty just like moi.

We get to go on a hunt for a lost city with Hunter and Phoenix who are best friends who secretly love each, Madison who accidentally bonded with a merman 🧜‍♂️ but isn’t mad about it. A quest to find a lost city where merfolk and humans once lived together.

Ooh and it left us in a cliffhanger with a new flavor about to enter the villa (cove) FishyBillionaire47 who’s cumming to save the day.

We are back in the Adventureverse! And it’s such a fun place to be. Omegaverse combined with archeology and this time it’s marine! I’m so very in!

The lore was easily established through the academic setting which played into the characters being naturally curious about the world. It also lead to forbidden student/teacher yearning which is always fun and a couple of ‘F it’ moments.

Having POVs from all the characters didn’t make it difficult to follow what was going on because each had an established voice and tone. And especially when we get deep into the adventure part of the story we need to know what everyone is thinking so we know what all is happening.

The spice is fun and bubbly. It’s sprinkled throughout the story but starts early. I loved the friends to lovers yearning and all the sort of ‘oops’ moments.

Be warned there is a cliffhanger!!! (WHYY) I can’t wait till the fall when we find out what happens next!

- Seaman's Cove is a refreshing adventure, omegaverse, why choose (MMMF) that I devoured in a day.
- Tropes: scent matches, professor x grad student, age gap, accidental bonding, best friends to lovers, "f*ck it".
- 👏🏻 for our omega Madi, a brilliant and fearless woman in STEM.
- Going into it, I thought Caspian🧜 would be my favorite. I mean, have you seen the character art?! But dang, Hunter is all alpha and has the dirtiest mouth, while Phoenix is fun, playful, and can pine with the best of them.
- I love this world. I can't wait to find out more about the lost city Ocearus and the merpeople society.

- Cliffhanger 😱. Even though I'm so happy we'll get to spend more time with Madi and her men, I'm going to be itching for part 2 until November!
