Surviving was easy. Trusting the man who's been watching over her all along — that's the hard part.
Serena has survived worse than bad men and broken promises. When danger comes for her and her daughter, survival is no longer something she can manage on her own.
Enzo Lombardi is a made man. Power, loyalty, and violence built his world, and once he decides Serena is worth protecting, there is no walking away. What begins as safety quickly turns into temptation neither of them can ignore, along with a connection Enzo has been quietly cultivating for far longer than she realizes.
In Enzo’s world, threats are answered with blood and loyalty is absolute. Loving him means stepping into the shadows and trusting that he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
This is the cinnamon roll of mafia romances, it’s got a wholesome fairy tale man falls head over heels with girl and her little and wants to give her the world while also just happening to be a mob moss. Mmc is a Golden Retriever for our fmc and a Rottweiler for anyone who threatens her. Really realistically shows the struggles of being a single mom.
Thanks to the author for my arc , the opinions are my own
i found myself super disappointed in this book! i was really drawn to the premise of a stressed single mom falling for the mafia man she tailors clothes for. the first few chapters were entertaining and i had high hopes for the rest of the story. however, as the book went on, i found myself increasingly frustrated. this read more like a caricature of a mafia romance; the mmc was barely morally gray and felt like a projected version of what a “nice” mafia man should be. it was like several tropes had been thrown together in his character but none of them were fully fleshed out. the fmc and her daughter were well written but the romance felt forced. i really wanted to love this story but unfortunately it fell flat.
I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. I devoured this book! If you live mafia romances will love this book! This was well written and enjoyed the FMC who is fierce and MMC alpha!! This has wholesome courtship vibes!! Just really enjoyed this book! This my first for this Author and definitely will be reading more.

Tailored for You is a romantic suspense, mafia romance, with an HEA.”
This is Serena and Enzo’s story. Serena is a divorced single mom to her adorable little 4-year-old daughter, and she is independent, and hardworking, running her tailoring and design business, while Enzo is a made man, who is patient, caring, loyal, and protective. Enzo is watching Serena when he sees the fear in her eyes when a man enters. Serena knows she cannot survive without help when she is in danger, Enzo is determined to keep her safe and protected. This is a well written action packed, easy to read story, with found family, friendships, emotions, tension, survival, danger, suspense, intrigue, forced proximity, trust, touch her and die, revelations, twists, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable mafia romance. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
3.5⭐️: I love a possessive mafia man going after the love of his life. I really liked how Enzo went at Serena’s pace and met her where she was at. He didn’t push her until her safety began to be of a concern. Obviously I hate Charles and Apple, scum of the earth and thankful for their ending. This was a quick and easy read that I enjoyed, dealing with themes like single mom, mafia, touch her and die, etc. all favorite themes of mine. I do wish we got a little more in the epilogue, like a hint of a baby for Enzo and Serena, but overall had a great time reading it.
Thank you to NetGalley for the Arc!

I've really enjoyed Serena and Enzo's story and who can forget the adorable Harper.
This is Book 1 of the Made Men series, although it does bring in some support characters from the authors other series. Tempting Secrets (Bridge City Security Firm Book 3) so all the things I like about this genre: Found families Mafia romance (Definitely not as dark as some I've read) Morally grey Alpha males (puppy dog for their love, but full on Attack dogs for anyone who wants to harm their loved ones) Strong female leads (Serena is a bad a$$) Spicy level 🌶️🌶️
From the beginning through to the end Enzo is methodical in his goal to win Serena, and of course Harper. He took it slow, often stalker like, but not in a creepy way. With some often light-hearted help from his Mafia brothers Marcello and Rafael and of course they were backing up Enzo when he was in need of help. I liked these support characters, especially Adrienne, Marcellos better half, from the Tempting Secrets) so I will be checking out the above mentioned series too.
I really thought the storyline was written well in regards to being a single parent dealing with a narcissist sperm donor (Charles is a typical example of a narcissistic man who treats their child as something to pick up when he's got nothing else better to do, or only wants them when someone else is interested) I thought that the author really created a believable scenario of a mom who will do anything to keep her child happy when dealing with this situation, but who knew when to accept help.
I even felt a connection with the the mom guilt for trying to do all the things we mom's try to juggle, or never feeling like you’re doing enough, we all want our kids to have a better life than we ourselves did. And this really helped connect me with Serena. And I was happy she was trusting enough to allow Enzo into her life.
The slow burn works beautifully, we get to experience both Serenas doubts and insecurities to believe her feelings for Enzo are worth pursuing (we can all relate to feeling like we're not enough) Then we have Enzo's OCD approach, the way he goes about it was a typical Mafia alpha male dominance, but underneath all actioned from the love he has for both Serena and Harper ( there are some super sweet interactions between Enzo and Harper... Oh and the younger security guys with Harper too). The tension and action just flows with the storyline, keeping you turning the pages to find out who is behind all the attack's. The action scenes are intense, fast paced and had a refreshing change to what is a very popular sub-genre. I thought the date night was ❤️🔥 ❤️🔥👏🏼.
Serena grew as a character, learning to trust herself, and knowing she wasn't battling alone, realizing that Enzo's the person who sees her as a strong talented woman, not just the mom who's just trying to give her daughter a happy life, struggling to make ends meet.
I Loved how it was important to Enzo to support rather than just protect and take over, the old abandoned building scene was one of my favorites.
I definitely recommend if you enjoy your Mafia romance with a good old fashioned courtship, with an Alpha who would 🔥 the 🌎 down for his ❤️ that has a HEA, you'll enjoy this story. I would say this is in the milder category for Mafia romance, with a HEA, and hopefully (seeing we've had a crossover already) the prospect of catching up with the couple as the other books in the series are published. Maybe Rafael will be next?
I also love the Mafia family world in this book, the supporting characters are all enjoyable. From the Mafia men who were all tough on the outside, marshmallow on the inside, to Italian Auntie Martina to Minnie, Harper's Grandmother, who was definitely a Team Serena, I really felt sorry for her, having a son like Charles.
This was my first Read from this author but I will be watching out for more of this world and looking at the other back catalogue.
My rating is 4 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ mafia romance 🤝 protective MMC 🤝 single mom FMC 🤝 "touch her and you die" okay but...A MAFIA MAN WHO DECIDES SHE'S WORTH PROTECTING??? do i even need to explain why i picked this up??? because apparently my brain sees: morally questionable man in a dangerous criminal world with a protective hero who is in forced proximity to a woman he absolutely should NOT be getting attached to and has "i will burn the world down for you" energy and immediately goes: YES. THANK YOU. I'LL TAKE IT. . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁. what i loved was THE PROTECTIVE MMC. Enzo is very much giving "you don't need to worry about anything anymore because i've already decided you're mine to protect." and honestly??? SIR. who told you this was going to work on me??? because it absolutely did. i really enjoyed the contrast between Serena's life and Enzo's world. Serena has already survived enough and then suddenly she's thrown into this completely different world where danger is basically part of the job description. and Enzo??? he's the man standing between her and all of it. which obviously leads to the classic "i'm only protecting you because it's my responsibility." sure, Enzo. sure. we all believe you. 😭 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ ݁. I also really liked Serena. i appreciated that she wasn't written as someone who suddenly forgets how to function the moment a dangerous man walks into her life. she's a mother who's trying to protect her daughter, she's trying to survive and she has every reason to be wary of Enzo and the world he comes from. that made the relationship more interesting for me because there was an actual reason for her to hesitate. and then there's the fact that Enzo has apparently been interested in her for much longer than she realized...which??? THE PINING. i see you, Enzo. 👀 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ ݁. BUT...this is where i have to admit that some parts didn't completely work for me. the story leans pretty heavily into familiar mafia-romance territory, so if you've read a lot of books in this genre, some of the plot beats and character dynamics might feel a little predictable. i also would've liked a little more time spent developing certain aspects of the relationship. there were moments where i wanted more emotional buildup before things escalated, especially because the setup gives you so much potential for tension. and while i enjoyed the danger and suspense, there were a few moments where i found myself more invested in the romance than the actual external conflict. which...is probably not surprising considering i picked this up for the romance in the first place. 😭 . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁.. ݁₊ ⊹ ݁. overall, Tailored for You was a fun mafia romance that gave me exactly what i came for. protective MMC?check. single mom FMC?check. forced proximity?check. dangerous criminal world?check. "touch her and you will regret being born" energy? CHECK. it's not necessarily reinventing the mafia romance genre, but honestly...sometimes i don't WANT something revolutionary. sometimes i just want a dangerous man who is completely gone for one woman and will happily destroy anyone who gets between them and Enzo understood the assignment. so if you like mafia romance with a protective/morally gray MMCs, single mom FMCs, forced proximity, touch-her-and-die energy, possessive heroes and romantic suspense...this might be right up your alley.
My final thoughts; i came for the mafia romance... i stayed because Enzo apparently decided Serena was his problem and i, unfortunately, have no objection to that. 🫠🖤
Many thanks to the publisher, author and NetGalley for the ARC.
A romantic suspense, mafia romance with fast-paced development and likeable lead characters, Tailored for You is a must-read book for readers who enjoy romance genres that wanted a pure escapism and a feel-good ending.
This is very much a romance-first mafia story rather than an action-heavy one. The mafia element provides the danger and tension, but the story spends most of its time building the relationship between the two characters Serena and Enzo. We follow a story of a hardworking single mom Serena who has a really hectic schedule making her and her daughter Harper’s ends meet by taking in tailored and custom-made orders. This devotion as a single mom stemmed from her negligent ex-husband who is a lost cause that is a nepo baby and a manchild who likes to waste his trust fund wealth in debauchery and unscrupulous lifestyle.
Enzo, a head-over-heels smitten for Serena, works behind the shadows in making sure that Serena’s family is safe and has a steady flow of income by commissioning Serena in making his clothes. Little did Serena know that she’s been under Enzo’s radar the first time he met her. The story unfolded into such development we normally see as common tropes in romance genre: small crushes and attraction growing into sensual tensions between the two characters, eventually progressing unto a necessary plot conflict that drew the female lead to male lead and him being protective of her, a male lead that was too perfect (in terms of wealth, status, physique, and desirable traits such as being patient and delicate with the female lead and being a bedrock that can be relied on at all times). And the ex-husband being an unbearable piece of dimwit to antagonise the female lead, hence creating a scenario that makes the reader truly loathe that antagonist.
What romance enjoyers would be delighted with is the contrast in the male lead: feared and intimidating to everyone else, but surprisingly soft, attentive, and almost puppy-like with the woman he loves. Whenever her safety or peace is threatened, though, that softer side disappears and the ruthless, protective side of him comes out.
What worked best for me was the gradual development of their relationship. Rather than relying on constant action or dramatic mafia conflicts, the book focuses on their chemistry, growing trust, and the little moments that make their feelings believable. The protective aspect adds another layer to his character without completely taking over the romance.
And thankfully, we get a HEA, which made the slower, romance-focused pacing feel rewarding. I would recommend this to readers who didn’t want to see any revolutionary themes or unusual plot device and are just after a feel-good book with minimal plot twists and likeable characters.
UMMM ENZO LOMBARDI. THAT’S IT. THAT’S THE REVIEW. 😭🔥
I absolutely freaking LOVED this book!! Tailored for You had EVERYTHING I want in a mafia romance and I was hooked from the very beginning. The protection, the danger, the obsession, the tension, the slow build between Serena and Enzo… GIVE ME MORE.
Serena is such a strong character and I loved watching her navigate everything that gets thrown at her while trying to protect herself and her daughter. She’s survived so much and you can really feel how hard it is for her to let someone else take over and actually trust them. And then there’s ENZO. 🥵
This man!!! A made man who is powerful, dangerous, ruthless when he needs to be, but when it comes to Serena and her daughter??? Completely different man. The way he protects them, the way he has apparently been watching over Serena for so much longer than she realizes, and the fact that he has been quietly cultivating this connection the whole time had me absolutely MELTING.
I am a sucker for a protective mafia man and Enzo delivered in every possible way. The “you are mine to protect” energy was EVERYTHING. He doesn’t just say he’ll keep her safe, he backs it up. And the way his loyalty is so absolute?? YES PLEASE. 😩🖤
The chemistry between these two was SO GOOD. You can feel the tension building and building until eventually they just can’t keep pretending there isn’t something between them. I loved watching Serena slowly let her walls down and Enzo prove that she could actually trust him.
And the mafia suspense!! The danger kept everything moving and gave the romance that extra edge where you’re sitting there thinking PLEASE JUST LET THESE PEOPLE HAVE ONE PEACEFUL MOMENT. 😂 There was violence, threats, danger, obsession and all the delicious darkness I expect from a mafia romance.
But honestly, the relationship between Enzo, Serena and her daughter was one of my favourite parts. It wasn’t just about Enzo falling for Serena. He was stepping into their lives and making it clear that protecting them meant protecting BOTH of them. My heart. 🥹
This was romantic suspense, mafia romance, protective hero, forced trust, danger, found safety, spicy chemistry and an HEA all rolled into one delicious package.
I devoured this book and I’m not even remotely sorry. Enzo has officially joined my list of mafia men who can ruin my expectations forever. 😂🔥
Tailored for You is basically everything you want from a mafia romance when you’re in the mood for danger, possessiveness, protection and a hero who has apparently decided that “I’ll keep you safe” means everyone else should probably run. 😂
Serena is a strong heroine who has already been through more than her share, and I liked that her relationship with Enzo isn’t simply about being rescued. Her biggest struggle is learning to trust someone and allow herself to rely on him, which gives the romance a nice emotional layer beneath all the mafia drama.
And Enzo? Very much the morally grey, powerful, intensely protective mafia hero the genre promises. His devotion to Serena is established long before she fully understands it, which makes their relationship particularly interesting. There’s an underlying feeling that he has been watching from the shadows for quite some time, and that definitely adds to the romantic tension.
The romance is the heart of the book, but the suspense and danger keep things moving. I enjoyed the contrast between Serena’s desire for independence and Enzo’s very firm belief that protecting her is non-negotiable. Their chemistry feels naturally tied to that push-and-pull.
The pacing is quick and easy to settle into, making this a very bingeable read. The prose is straightforward and doesn’t overcomplicate things, which works well for a romance where the emotional connection and high-stakes drama are the main attraction.
I also appreciated Serena’s daughter being part of the story because it raises the emotional stakes and makes Enzo’s protective instincts feel even more significant.
Overall, this is a fun, dramatic mafia romance with a protective hero, a resilient heroine, plenty of danger and the kind of devotion that would probably be deeply concerning in real life but is exactly what I signed up for in fiction. 😂
This is aI have to admit... the cover is what made me pick this book up. I mean... JUST LOOK AT IT!! 😍😍 It's absolutely gorgeous! It's a masterpiece! The rich green, the gold details, the fashion sketches, the measuring tape... everything is so elegant. His tattoos, her gorgeous hair, the way they're standing together... WOW. I'm obsessed with it.
Now, onto the story!
This was an enjoyable, fast-paced mafia romance with a protective hero, a strong single mom, plenty of sweet moments, and enough suspense to keep me intrigued.
Enzo is a made man, but he's also patient, caring, fiercely loyal, and hopelessly devoted to Serena and her daughter. He's quietly been watching over them for so long, and he slowly becomes part of their little family, especially with Harper's useless father constantly disappointing her.
Serena is a seamstress who is independent, hardworking, and determined to put her daughter first. She's sworn off relationships, but the chemistry between her and Enzo is impossible to ignore. When danger finally comes for her, Enzo steps in without hesitation, and I loved that she trusted him even after discovering the truth about what he does.
This isn't the darkest or most intense mafia romance I've read, and I did wish the danger had been pushed a little further to raise the stakes. Still, I really enjoyed the romance, the found-family vibes, and the side characters. Harper completely stole my heart. I absolutely love kids in romances.
This was a solid, softer mafia romance with lovable characters, great chemistry, and a sweet family dynamic. I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.
Serena was getting angrier every time she looked down at her phone and realized he wasn't coming. It wasn't the first time he hadn't shown up to pick up their daughter for visitation or shown up for events he had promised her.
Harper was only four and she hated every time the disappointment showed on her face. But the worst part was the continued threats that Charles made to take Harper away from her permanently.
Despite being divorced, Charles still considered her his property and had already had Harper taken away as an unfit mother after he and his girlfriend secretly drugged her.
Enzo was watching Serena as she finalized his tailoring when a man stepped in the door like he owned the place. He definitely didn't like seeing the fear in Serena's eyes.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This is the first book I have read by this author and I fell in love with Enzo immediately.
Serena ran her tailoring and designs business on the same floor where she lived. It gave her more freedom as she could work long hours and not be away from her daughter.
When Enzo had first shown up in her shop, she had refused to do any tailoring for his boss. She didn't want to get in the middle of any mafia business, but now he was one of her best clients. She didn't know why he needed so many suits, but she wasn't complaining, as she loved watching the gorgeous man each time he came in for his final fitting.
This mafia romance is action-packed, smoking hot and full of danger with some surprising twists. Highly recommend.
This is a brand new author for me so I was not sure what to expect. What I found was an entertaining, fast paced read, family drama and mob connections.
Enzo, has been watching over Serena and her four year old daughter, he has people watching her apartment, he watches her take her daughter to school, etc. It's a bit creepy actually, but thankfully he is watching when her apartment is broken into in the middle of the night. He and his men are able to rescue Serena and her daughter Harper. And of course he brings them to his home so he can watch over them.
Serena is a extremely talented tailor, with a rich jerk of an ex-husband who never keeps his promises to Harper or his days of visitation. His mother however is super sweet and involved in Serena and Harpers lives, encouraging Serena to take time for herself, and not at all happy with her son and his new girlfriend. Serena has been infatuated with Enzo for a long time, but would never admit to that as he is a client, and she is fully aware he is involved in the mob.
However, once they are moved into his home she begins to see how caring and loving he is as well as being a mob boss. He saves her from several other attempts at harm, he gets everything she needs for he tailoring business (and raises her prices without her knowledge), he is involved with Harper taking her to school, and making breakfast with her etc. How could Serena and Enzo not fall in love.
The mob aspect is relatively mild for the most part. Overall, I was impressed and hope to read more by B.A. Chayut.
If you like your mafia romance on the lighter side, with plenty of romance, a protective hero and just enough suspense to keep things interesting, then Tailored for You could be one to add to your TBR.
This was my first book by B.A. Chayut and the first in the new Made Men series, and while it wasn’t quite a five-star read for me, I really enjoyed the introduction to Enzo and Serena.
Enzo is definitely the kind of mafia hero I enjoy — golden retriever when it comes to his woman, and his time young Harper, but don’t mistake that softer side for weakness when it comes to everyone else. 😏 There’s something particularly fun about watching that contrast come through.
I also really liked Serena. As a single mum, she could easily have been written as the typical damsel in distress, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. She has her own strength and personality, which made her a heroine I could get behind.
The suspense element was another definite plus for me. It adds some tension without making this feel like an especially dark or gritty mafia romance. If you prefer your mafia reads with the romance at the forefront rather than an overly brutal or intense storyline, this definitely sits on that lighter end of the spectrum.
Overall, a solid four-star read and an enjoyable introduction to B.A. Chayut’s writing. I’m definitely curious to see what comes next from the Made Men series. 🖤
Perfect for readers who like their mafia romance with a softer edge, protective heroes, strong heroines and a touch of suspense.
Enzo Lombardi is part of the Cosa Nostra and he has a lot of responsibilities and he is totally infatuated with Serena. He fell head over heels for her when she challenged him and she was the first person to ever say No to him. And he loved that she wasn’t afraid of him. He is also obsessed with keeping her and her little girl safe. He is in for the long haul, making himself invaluable in her life.
And his chance came when someone broke in her place trying to harm her and her daughter. Perfect excuse for him to move them into his house…
But things might not be as easy as he thought. She has a terrible ex that is trying to make her life miserable, and she also needs to get use to being a part of the Cosa Nostra family, which comes with danger. But Enzo also needs to get use to dating a single independent mother of a 4year old little girl.
Story was good, I enjoyed it, loved the storyline. Just some parts I thought was a bit repetitive. I wanted a little bit more of showdown with the ex. Enzo was amazing, he was totally obsessed with Serena and Harper and he adapted to having a little girl around very easily.
Everything worked for me in this story, characters were great, storyline was sweet, if you enjoy a single independent mother falling for a mafia boss 😊
✨ I received an advance reader copy from the author. All opinions are my own. ✨
I enjoyed this book SO much. It had me feeling every emotion possible from happy, giddy, giggly, angry, sad… literally the whole damn emotional spectrum. 😂 Enzo is a made man who is absolutely, ridiculously down bad for Serena and her daughter, Harper. When a break-in leaves Serena and Harper needing some extra protection, Enzo steps in to take care of them. Serena isn’t exactly used to accepting help, especially when she’s spent so long doing everything on her own, but watching Enzo patiently show up for her and her daughter was EVERYTHING. There's something about a man stepping up to the plate for a little girl who has him wrapped around her finger. I loved watching Serena find herself and realize just how much of a badass she really is. And Enzo? That man was GONE for her. Absolutely no hope. 😂 If you love a morally gray, tattooed, pierced, tall, dark, handsome MMC who gives major touch her and 💀 energy, a fierce protective momma FMC, the sassiest princess, found family, and a man who is completely obsessed with his woman… ADD THIS ONE TO YOUR TBR. Releases August 19th! Go grab your copy as soon as it releases.
Review: I really enjoyed this book! Everything about Serena and Enzo’s story was captivating. Enzo was so smitten with Serena and her daughter and would stop at nothing to make them his. All Serena ever wanted was to be seen, loved, and safety for her and her little girl. She worked as a tailor for the elite to provide a life for her daughter. Enzo was a client but also part of the mafia. She knew that he was a dangerous man but she couldn’t help being drawn to him. When one night her home and business were attacked Enzo saves her and takes her home to keep his girls safe.
This was a solid 4 star read for me but I had to give it 3.5 stars because I felt like there were unfinished thoughts, plot holes, and things missing that could have made the story that much better. I really loved Serena and her acceptance of Enzo’s life. Enzo is the right man for Serena and her daughter. He is everything that Serena deserves.
I have no read a dark/mafia romance in a while, like so long and this one hits even better than any others I may have read in the past.
this one feels a lot more modern than ones I've read, so far.
Enzo truly isn't scared to be seen as vulnerable by his men, him wearing a crop top saying "protect the dolls" truly was magnificent, I have been thinking abt it since i read it.
He truly is not one to shy away from affection, from his emotions and his men truly do respect him and im sure it's for that reason, it truly feels like a family.
Serena truly is such a loveable FMC and I hope everyone do love her, as she should be love, when they read it, because she truly is wonderful. she is so strong and im so glad we saw it in so many different way.
I don't know how to explain but this book was just so wonderful, I went off of the cover and the description to pick this read and truly... it paid off so damn well.
Thanks, NetGalley, for an early copy of this book.
I have to say I did enjoy this mafia romance. This would be a great place to start if you were interested in this sub genre of romance as while it had some violence and spice, it was mild compared to other mafia books I read.
The MMC was possessive and obsessed as i find many are in mafia books but was respectful and patient with the FMC. The FMC was independent and fiercely protective of her daughter, and watching as the two main leads came together was so fun.
I would recommend this to those who are dipping their toes into mafia romance. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I don't normally reach for dark romances or single-parent tropes, so the fact that I couldn't put this book down speaks volumes!
I was absolutely obsessed with how devoted the MMC was. He is the ultimate partner, offering so much support while still letting the FMC shine and completely be herself. And can we talk about her? I loved how totally unbothered she was by everything going on. She handled all the drama like an absolute champ.
The author did a phenomenal job with this story. I was glued to the pages from start to finish and genuinely couldn't put it down.
Huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC
Thanks to B.A. Chayut and team for the ARC of Tailored for you. I dont know what it is about a made man speaking Italian but it makes every ounce of feminism I possess to go out the window. Enzo was no exception to that. The mafia boss was everything you want in a made man while still showing Serena and Harper what they deserved and should demand. I loved that Harper had Donovan and Angelo wrapped around her little fingers from day 1. Serena took a minute to come into herself but once she did man she went all the way. I loved every minute of this book. From the tailoring and making clothes to the mom guilt (girl me too) to the mafia aspects this book was amazing from start to finish.
It started out slow but once things got started it moved very quickly. Overall an easy, comfortable read.
There were some parts that I wished were explored more like how Enzo decided on Serena and what was up with Charles and Apple.
I also expected Serena's business to be more central to the plot because of the title, but while it was mentioned quite a bit, it really didn't matter to the storyline.
Harper is really the one who made out best in this story. She got a new, more involved dad, two pseudo big brothers, a host of additional "grandparent" figures, a less stressed out mom, and all the room a kid could want to run around.
Mafia Single mom Forced proximity Protective MMC Found family Suspense
Enzo and Serena
Serena is a single mom dealing with her tailoring business, an adorable 4 year old and a dead beat ex husband. Her life is chaotic.
Enzo is a mafia made man. He is the newly head of the NY outfit and the COO of his company. He quietly “stalked” Serena and her daughter, Harper. It was more like he watched over for them. He protected them without them knowing. He waited patiently to make his move.
This is not as dark as some mafia romances. A dangerous and ruthless man who becomes a golden retriever for his girls. A slow burn that is worth the read to an HEA.
Listen... Serena and Enzo had me in an absolute chokehold. I loved them individually, I loved them together, and I was fully invested in every second of their story. The chemistry? Top tier. The banter? Loved it. The relationship? I was kicking my feet and giggling one minute and stressing the next.
This was such a fun mafia romance, and I honestly loved everything about it. Serena and Enzo are definitely a couple that's going to stick with me for a long time. If mafia romance is your thing, do yourself a favor and pick this one up. You can thank me later.
This was a fast read and overall enjoyable. I liked the chemistry between the main characters and the MMC was a huge cinnamon roll while also being a made man. However I struggled with the inconsistencies in the story. There were also parts that were so fast paced that I thought it had been weeks and it had only been a day. Just very confusing to follow at times but still a fun read.
Tailored for you is a decent romance, but IDK I was expecting MORE mafia from this mafia romance. Enzo definitely gave off overprotective caveman (bordering on questionable stalker, think a slightly more morally sound version of Joe from You) vibes but overall, I enjoyed the two of them together and felt they balanced each other really well. I also really enjoyed the interactions between Enzo and Harper. Thanks Netgalley for the e-ARC!
This mafia bad boy is such a big fat teddy bear when it come this women he secretly in love with. Where do I sign up for one of this tattoo mafia men I’m just saying. I was shocked to see who was behind the event that had taken place but glad as heck that she didn’t let them mess up her happiness. The cover match this couple so good.
I usually dislike exes in books but this one was great because Charles was so annoying I wanted Enzo to fight him! Also Apple get a life 🫠. The writing was good and easy to read. I really liked Enzo and Harper's morning routine it was adorable!
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
This one had me hooked so fast! Mmc is a mafia boss and gives zero f*cks except when it comes to her. For her he’s protective, possessive and so sweet. The writing was done really well and made it so easy to completely immerse myself into this story. Not your average mafia read and I will definitely be looking for more from this author!
This book was really good! It’s rare to read a book about a cinnamon role mafia man! I love how obsessed he was in the beginning and how determined he was to get the girl! Serena was a strong and amazing mom in this book and I love a strong FMC in a book! I would definitely recommend!
