4 Somnus’ Love Stars
I loved this world so much. I don’t know if it’s these Gods who fall for these humans that get to me or what but I love how they want to please these women.
They want to be worthy of them. I love that.
Lailani is not someone I would have picked for Somnus but in the end she grew on me. I am not really sure when it turned around for me. But I wasn't a fan of her, I think she needed to speak up faster. It could have saved everyone a little heartache. But I guess they needed to go through what they did to be together in the end right?
Somnus’ was a favorite of mine but its Hercules that has stolen my heart, I want no I neeeeed more Hercules, Hercules, Hercules. :D
I can’t wait for more in this series.

First, I just have to say that I so enjoyed this second installment and was happy to catch up with Cupid, Val, and their son Kane who is two years old now and doing great. In fact this little guy has more going on than anyone truly realizes I think. And even though this is really Somnus and Lailas story, pretty much everyone gets in on the act. Actually, between Olympus and the Underworld, it's turning into a regular Peyton Place.
Jupiter, the King, has been keeping some pretty significant secrets. Turns out that Somnus is a twin. Yep, he's got a brother. I sure didn't see that coming. And that's not the half of it, but since I don't do spoilers, your going to have to read this one for yourself. I will tell you that Hercules is in for a few surprises himself and he's not going to like them one little bit!
So, anyway, there are a couple hiccups to cure and get over for Somnus and Laila, but, O.M.G. when they do, hot, hot, hot is all I can say. At the start of this story, I just wanted to cry for Somnus. Then I spent the rest of the time chuckling, sighing, and Oh hell noing it. This book had me right up to the very last sentence..... 5 dreamy stars for Somnus & Laila's story. Let me start off by saying I adore how Kane is growing and the love Somnus has for him. Now as we already know from book one, Laila met briefly with Somnus a few years back at the hospital. Present day they're back for a party to celebrate all the kids in the NICU and and brought together once again. Laila has some history to go along with her story and that's for you to learn but Somnus feels he will only hurt her more so he tires to keep his distance. Along the way Hercules being the friend that he is tries to help bring these two together only to suffer the consequences of his actions. There is so much that happens that I want answers to I am shocked at some secrets that are revealed and disliking some a bit more then I did before while falling for others. Great story and I loved every second. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I loved this book, this is book 2 in Nicole's "A Roman God Romance" series....if you haven't read book 1 'Cupid's Heart' yet, please do before you read "A Love for Somnus" as it's set 2 years after book 1.
Somnus is having a bad day, he's grieving, well he has been for the past century, but the date that Cupid & Val decide to have a special birthday for their son Kane & the other babies from the hospital.... lands on the day that Somnus lost the love of his life (well at least that's what he thought). Arriving at the party he bumps into Lailani, whom he hasn't seen since the birth of Kane & things seem to go from there.... Hercules & the other Gods from Mount Olympus are here & some secrets come out that shocked me.
I found Somnus' story sad at times, but it was beautifully written, I can't wait to read the next book of the series, fingers crossed it's about Hercules. I NEED more of "A Roman God Romance" series & will be keeping my eyes out for all future releases from Nicole.

I loved this 2nd book of the author's Roman God series and it's Somnus story. Somnus lost his love a long time ago and thought he'd never love again and then he meets Laila who has stayed away from men due to health issues, can they overcome everything to be together?
In this story we meet up again with Cupid, Val and their son Kane and Hercules and Jupiter also are there in addition to other gods. During all this you find out that secrets have been kept and surprises are all around.
Nicole Garcia did a wonderful job telling Somnus and Laila's story and giving a hint of what's to come in future books. I can't wait for the next book to find out where this is all going. I was given this book as a gift.

Somnus is a god, who is still grieving for his lost love over a 100 years ago. Laila is a young lady who has suffered with an illness all her life. They both are attending an event at the hospital for children. When they meet in the elevator, they realize that they had met 2 years prior while both his godson and her niece were being born. As the story unfolds,these two end up falling for each other, but Somnus refuses to be with her due to a bad dream.
As we roll to the end, with the help of Hercules playing match maker and doctor they get together.
The end is what lost this book for me, Lailas transformation from being a woman who has had sex only once ( and it was extremely painful...which made her vow never to have it again), to an instant sex kitten was a bit much for me.

What to say about this book that will get you to read it. It is amazing, fantastic, interesting. It's a book that keeps you reading it and captures your attention in an instant.
I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more of these God's. They really are the God's you'd want to get in bed with. Hahahaha. No really, I want one for myself.
Nicole always wrote great books and from the first I read from her I wanted more and loved them, so I believe everyone can love her books. Just try it. I promise you won't regret it. I didn't.

This book is so hot, sexy, and amazing love story!!!! This story is about Somnus the god who is know to be so sweet, caring, and won't even hurt a fly let alone a human. Then there is Lailani who has suffer so much pain in her life due to a medical problem. Where she can't even think of having sex or having her own children so she give up a long time ago of finding love with anyone. When Somnus is near Lailani he is so protective over her that he turns to some thing so not him. To know more about this book grab your copy today so so so a must read!!!!!!

Somnus' story didn't disappoint! Liala has health issues and Somnus' powers have gone wonky. With Hercules sticking his nose in their business and Jupiter sharing never before shared information with Somnus. Things are very interesting to say the least!

The writing style was just not for me and the dialogue was unbearably awkward. And I couldn't stand Laila, being a bitch to everyone you meet because of your own problems is no way to be.

This has been on my TBR list for a while. I love what Nicole Garcia writes but when you have so many different books being released at the same time you tend to forget about what books you already have. I have to admit that I am kind of glad that I waited to listen to this story because I would have been totally annoyed waiting for Hercules' book to come out. Yes, there is not a date for it but in my head it is coming our soon.
Lailani is someone who is strong. The fact that she did not feel sorry for herself for having Endometriosis was refreshing. There are people that have an issue and throughout the entire book it about how they are going through so much and how they wish how things can be different. Nicole made sure that she was independent and made things work even though things were not the best for her.
Somnus is a character that I am glad that I got to know more of. He is the mature one in his friend group and rational. However, in this book a lot of the issues that he is having is because of lies and secrets that were kept from him. I am actually a bit disappointed that we did not get to know more about what all that everyone is hiding from him. I hope in the upcoming books we learn more about not only him but about all the secrets that have not been exposed.
I like Somnus and Lailani together. She really let him know she is with him through whatever and she did not panic or freak out like someone who panic about their lover being a God.
As always do enjoy Kai and Wen's narration. I sometimes wish that they were able to change their voices so that not everyone sounds the same. I want so distinction from one character to one another.

Somnus and Laila’s story is a unique one, I loved the twists in their story and finding gout who Laila ‘Lailani Love’ was. Several surprises and twists in this fast paced story, Nicole Garica gives more insight in the world of the Mythical Gods, the dynamics and their power, the ways of the past and how it is now. Thank you for this wonderful story, I do hope you continue with the series would love Hercules’s story, such an extra-ordinary character needs his time in the sun soon.

Audiobook review:
I really, really enjoyed book two in this awesome series. But then again I'm coming to love everything I read/listen to that's written by Nicole Garcia. There were so many secrets and plot twists in this story. It made for an exciting read.
I loved all the characters in this book as well. Revisiting with Cue and Val from book one was great, but so was getting to know Somnus and his love as well. Hercules really stood out in this story too so I'm even more excited for his book.
And what about that surprise potential character thrown in? I'd love a book about that person. But I don't want to give anything more away. I'd love for other romance fans to get to experience all the surprises as I did.
Kai and Wen are two narrators who never fail to give an amazing performance. They absolutely kept my high opinion intact with this one.

Once again Nicole Garcia manage to envolve me in a great story.
I really enjoyed Somnus's story, it was so heartwarming and steamy I may say.
I must say that there were times when I wanted to shake Somnus and make him see some sense because of hiw stubborn he was, I mean he gave great advices to Cupid when he was in the same situation with Valentina but Somnus didn't follow his own advices...
I loved Laila she was a nice character that knew what she wanted and didn't back up.
And Hercules he is so funny and such a good friend not caring about breaking the rules if that means his friends could be happy.
The narration was great as it always is with Wen and Kai as narrators, they make the perfect voices for each character and make the book really enjoyable to listen ❤

This is another cute fun story. I enjoyed listening to Somnus and Layla’s story. Things were touch and go for a bit. Another human as a mate? That is forbidden so Somnus has not hope. Even though he has such a connection with Layla when he met her the first time.
It was fun seeing Valentina, Cupid and Hercules. They get long like oil and water. Poor Hercules. Haha but we do get to see another side of Hercules in here as well.
The last chapter REALLY makes me want to read the next in the series. Wen Ross is amazing as Pluto. He makes me laugh and smile.

Got this has audio for a honest review!
When I heard the book I fell in love. Omg I couldn't wait for the second book to hear. All I wanted was to hear more and read more of Nicole Garcia books. What a great love story. It will have you happy, sad, laugh, cry, and your emional will be going crazy. I was do happy for Laila and Somnus'! What a great come back! Love reading about Gods and Roman. This is something different from other books I have read. I love it!

This just wasn't for me. The premise was great and I admit I liked Somnus but Laila bugged me to hell and back! She's such a whiner. To be honest the 'rape' thing kinda weirded me out. I get what the author was going for but between Somnus understandably freaking out, Laila apparently being 'covered in blood' and casually 'tossing her bloodsoaked sheets in the tub' I was taken out of the story. It was just too awkward. I did love the side characters though so may try out the first book in this series yet.

Kai and Wen did an awesome job as they always do and Nicole did a wonderful job at making something so sweet between Somnus and Lailani. This was so sweet and one of those books you can't stop until its finished. I loved ever moment. Nicole has this way of dragging you in and refusing to spit you out until she's done with you and I love it. Her adding in sweet little Kane is so perfect to this too. Plus that epilogue and now I can't wait for book 3.

Gods and mortals aren't supposed to get mixed up romantically, but from Jupiter on down, playing by the rules really doesn't seem to be a god thing. I liked this story about Somnus and his lady love. There's a whole supporting cast of gods and demi-gods and an interesting story line that includes loads of steamy romance.
Well read. Kennicott and Ross work well together and having two narrators to voice the characters makes it very easy to keep track of the action.

This is the second book of the Roman God Series and I loved this one a little more than the first-Cupid's Heart.
Somnus is the God of Dreams and a century ago his lost his human love, Victoria. Ever since then he's shied away from any permanent relationships. He feels guilty of what had happend to his Victoria and that he couldn't save her. That is until he meets Lailani Love. They are both attraced to each other and find the attraction a little unsettling. Unfortunately, she has been dealt a low blow by fate-she has bad health issues. This story has some very unexpected twists and turns which make this story unique. You are going to have to read the story for yourself to see the outcome and you won't be sorry.
I loved meeting the characters from Cupid's story again and we also met a new God in Somnus' story. Cannot wait for Hercules story which should be next. We are given a little more information about him in this story, just enough to whet your appetite for his story!! I so highly recommend reading A Love for Somnus!!
Somnus is the God of Dreams and a century ago his lost his human love, Victoria. Ever since then he's shied away from any permanent relationships. He feels guilty of what had happend to his Victoria and that he couldn't save her. That is until he meets Lailani Love. They are both attraced to each other and find the attraction a little unsettling. Unfortunately, she has been dealt a low blow by fate-she has bad health issues. This story has some very unexpected twists and turns which make this story unique. You are going to have to read the story for yourself to see the outcome and you won't be sorry.
I loved meeting the characters from Cupid's story again and we also met a new God in Somnus' story. Cannot wait for Hercules story which should be next. We are given a little more information about him in this story, just enough to whet your appetite for his story!! I so highly recommend reading A Love for Somnus!!
