I've read only one of the stories in this collection - Accidentally Forever, and I loved it!
Crew and Aria have been circling each other, their feelings for each other, for years. Then he catches her friend hurting her, and he intercedes, and things take a serious turn. Not only do the two have to finally decide what and who they are to each other, they have to also allow each other their feelings.
Crew and Aria's story broke my heart. Not only is Crew's backstory heartbreaking, but so is Aria's. Crew never felt like he was good enough for her, thanks to the damage his horrible family left him with. So he affected a "don't care" attitude to keep his heart safe, to the detriment of not just Aria's feelings, but their whatever their relationship was. And then there's Aria - she lived her adult professional life in her father's very long, famous shadow, and it left its own damage to her. Then there's the really dark part of their friendship to enemies to more, and damn, it was the probably the most intense, heartbreaking part of this already emotional story. The push and pull, intensity of Aria and Crew about did me in, but I relished every word, and I was cheering when they finally got their hard fought happy ever after.

I have read 2 of the three titles in this book. Here are my reviews for each of them:
Far From Destined/Carrie Ann Ryan

Macon Brady almost lost his life, and carries both the scars and the nightmares as a result. He knows how precious life is, but he also can’t help but think his hangups now make him a dangerous partner.
Dakota Bristol has a very full schedule, between running her coffee shop and raising her son on her own, she works very hard for everything in her life. She has a tight knit group around her, her friends and employees, but doesn’t have family around her to help out. As part of the pact her friends made, she is to be set up on a blind date to give her a break from her hectic schedule. She is less than enthused though, so when Macon offers to be a practice date, she accepts hoping it will get her friends to move on.
I loved watching these two together. This was a sweet story, with a little bit of suspense involved. Macon wants to make these fake dates into the real thing and knows he wants to build a family with Dakota and her son. Dakota is wary of relationships because she has been burned hard, and her decisions from the past seem to be coming back to haunt her in ways she never imagined.
I always love diving back into the world of Carrie Ann Ryan’s familial series. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Montgomery’s, the Brady’s, or any branch of the family trees. While this series is ostensibly tied together by the women, the Bradley siblings are at the core, with the second brother tied up in the Pact. The side characters not tied directly to the Brady’s were some of my favorite additions of this book though. Dakota’s employees (and friends) gave the best pushes to get her out of her shell and offer support especially in the times she wasn’t willing to reach out herself.

Aria Montgomery and Crew McTavish spend a lot of time together and a lot of time arguing or bickering over something. Aria also spends her time convincing her friends and family that she isn’t in love with her best friend, a man struggling with addiction who only shows up when he needs something.
Crew has been friends with the Montgomery family for years, even dating at least 1 member of the family (though other think that number is higher). They welcomed him in with open arms when he needed a place to belong. His own family is very different and he loves the way the Montgomerys are. Though the family jokes he is dating around to pick one, he knows the only Montgomery he wants is Aria.
Crew is from a very dysfunctional family and as we get glimpses into the abuse he faced and faces from his parents, it is a wonder he turned out as amazing as he is. He hides a lot about his family from the Montgomerys, fearing they wouldn’t understand, and I couldn’t help but love Aria harder when the curtain is pulled away and she sees what Crew deals with when he is not with her family.
The family thinks these two can’t stand each other, but it’s all an act to keep each other at a distance. Aria is struggling a lot with the direction of her career. Crew sees her talent and nudges her in small ways to explore what she loves. I loved his protective streak, and the way he really hears Aria when she talks about things.
This was an emotional enemies to lovers story with strong family dynamics, overcoming obstacles, and relying on help in times of need. I always love the way the extended Montgomery family comes together, and while sometimes a map is needed to follow the connections between characters, what is never lost is the love they have for each other and the lengths they will go to in order to ensure the ones they love are happy.

𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞: 𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 by Carrie Ann Ryan is a fabulous way to read a story from three popular series, each with a unique take on the secret romance trope, bringing emotion, passion, and perhaps even some danger along for the ride! I’ve enjoyed all three of these stories and can definitely recommend this anthology!!

𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 is the third book in the Montgomery Ink series by Carrie Ann Ryan, featuring an emotional friends to lovers story for Luc and Meghan. I loved the obvious connection, the passion, the secret romance vibe, and the deep family bonds that this story highlights. The hint of danger, ex drama, and the sweet moments with the kids had me fully engaged. The audio narrated by Gregory Salinas was well done, offering an extra layer of entertainment and drama to the experience!

Get ready to be sucked in by the shockingly raw and gritty emotions, heart-pounding plot twists, and enough heat to incinerate your device or pages completely!🫣🔥 Crew and Aria bring it all, plus so much love, protective vibes, and that unbeatable sense of family and banter that the Montgomerys exude so well! The friendship between Crew and Lexington stole my heart, and words cannot express how excited I am for Lex’s story, too! This was definitely a roller coaster ride for the ages!!

From the gut-wrenching emotional moments and dramatic plot twists to the passionate, secret interludes between the MCs, and the undeniable found family vibe that fans love so much from this author, I truly enjoyed my first dive into this series, even though it was out of order! The audio narrated by Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke was top notch, especially during the intensely emotional scenes. I also loved the way they embodied all the different characters, leaving me longing for time to binge the rest of the series!

I loved Luc! He was as near perfect as any man could be and, while he did make some mistakes, boy he did a lot of things just right
And Meghan, aw sweet Meghan, love that she learned to get out of her head and found her backbone. It was painful but wondrous to be on that path with her
The two of them together, just scorching and so perfect it was near blinding at times!

Ahh, that ending and bonus epilogue gave me all the warm and happies! I mean, thank goddess because Dakota and Macon had put me through the wringer. Both so independent yet you could see they needed help so much. Both pushing others away, not wanting to be a burden. Both ignoring and actively avoiding the sparks that flared between them. Like all their friends and family, I kept wanting to nudge them, then push them, or trick them, until they got together. They could only hold out so long. The heat between them was amazing and the connection was perfect. And then bad things starting happening, not between them, but to Dakota. The panic Dakota felt, the fear Macon had, it was palpable and radiated off the pages as their big bad presented. These two had such inner strength though and their love only cemented those strengths together. Macon and Dakota ended up together, and happy, with family, and love <3

These two definitely put me through the wringer! So many emotions flowing through them, and they process some so well, and others, not so much. They have closed themselves off, but only because they know best *insert eye roll* They look after everyone around them, to the detriment to themselves. This is about their growth, how they open up, come together, and fall apart. They take a rocky path, but there are moments of serenity and calm. There is also comic relief (see Lex and Gus). And there is a boatload of chemistry that is so scorching hot, you’ll need a cool drink near by 😉

Crew McTavish and Aria Montgomery. These two had a complicated relationship. I wasn’t sure if there was dislike or they were friends maybe a combination of both. He was close to the Montgomery family. He had a contentious relationship with his own family. These two had secret hookups but her friendship with Travis really go in the way of the good things in her life. I enjoyed the suspense. I absolutely loved the epilogue and how things played out. The push and pull and Crew keeping his feelings bottled up was a little annoying. Overall this was a good read and would give it a 3.5✨.

Next comes Far From Destined, book three in the Promise Me series, and this was a story I had been waiting for with great anticipation. Dakota's story absolutely did not disappoint! If you've been following the Promise Me series, you'll know these books centre around three women who have been single for so long that they make a pact to find each other blind dates, all while their lives become wonderfully entwined with the Brady brothers. It's the friendships, chemistry and romantic possibilities that make this series such fun to dive into.

Second chance friendship turns into a love so true that it touches all around them! Meghan always took fault for everything that went bad in her marriage. Richard always blamed her for everything. Luc left town on Mehgan's wedding day cause she was marrying someone else. After all these years he is back and right when she needed him the most. These two together, they are so good together. I really enjoyed this book. I love reading about each of the siblings falling in love. I can't wait for the next in this series.

Absolutely loved this book. Especially with Meghan and Luc getting a second chance at HEA.
This could be a triggering book with Meghan past with her ex and the mental abuse he caused but has a phoenix moments for Meghan and kids.
Absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan and if you haven’t checked out her other book then definitely do so. I started with Redwood Pack and been hooked ever since.

In previous book he was shot badly and is struggling with ptsd and the help with that he get in ring and fights. He’s secretly liked Dakota for a long time but she’s always had a don’t approach vibe until Dakota reaches out to him. Dakota has been through a lot and has many secrets but when Macon makes his intentions to her she realises she needs him as much as he needs her. I absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan and personally can not get any better for romance but with really great characters, I love that her characters are very real with their on illnesses or issues like Nate’s migraines or Arden’s lupus illness. My only issue in book was when the narrator said Macon name and it came out more like bacon to me but other then that can’t get enough of this series.

Their relationship starts with “this definitely isn’t a real date” energy that fooled exactly nobody. I loved how Macon made room for Dakota and Joshua without trying to take over their lives.
And then Aria and Crew arrive in Accidentally Forever with history, chemistry, anger, hurt, and enough stubbornness to make me want to force them into a room to TALK. Crew’s family history broke my heart, while Aria’s struggle to believe in her own talent felt painfully real. Their secret relationship is messy, hot, emotional, and definitely not as casual as they pretend.
Carrie Ann Ryan does family so well. They interfere, tease, protect, show up uninvited, and love fiercely. Basically, nobody gets to quietly have a crisis without the extended family finding out.

Far from Destined - Frenemies to friends to lovers...Dakota and Macon both have broken lives. Macon was nearly killed last year and Dakota had to run for her life five years ago. Dakota has put up a wall to keep from getting close to another man and Macon is participating in destructive behavior to feel stronger, but they can’t fight the connection. One could say this is a story of trauma and fear, but I think it is more about discovery and renewal. The writing let’s us feel their feels. This close knit family lean on each other, so we see our favorite characters again. The tale gets angsty at times but Is still a sweet sexy read that just makes your heart happy.
Accidentally Forever - I love the intertwined family dynamics of this Montgomery “world”. Between that and Carrie’s writing style it is so easy to slip into the story in any of her books, to escape my everyday life. Aria’s life may not be going the way she wants right this minute but she has plenty of family backup. And one good looking guy who’s always there to take her mind off of her troubles. With Lexington Montgomery as a best friend and Daisy Montgomery Knight as an ex-girlfriend, dating Aria Montgomery could be a tricky proposition for Crew McTavish. Hate screwing, that’s okay. Until he wants more. And the rest of the story is heart wrenching but also hopeful. A thoughtful, sweet, sexy read.

Sexy, heartfelt and oh so addictive! The next book in Carrie Ann Ryan's Montgomery Ink Legacy series brings us Aria's story. For fans of the Montgomery world, she is Alex and Tabby's daughter. For newbies to the series, you won't know all of the life stories, but it's very easy to enjoy Crew and Aria on their own without feeling lost. There will be a lot of family surrounding them, but no necessity to keep track of who's who to any great extent. The overall pace of the book was steady with lots of sexy times but equal amounts of family, connection and emotion. I loved getting to know them and seeing the fulfillment having the Montgomery fam at their back brought. Great characters, sincere interactions and so much heart melting love. I can't wait for more from this fam!
Crew was my favorite character in this book because he had to grow the most and learn to let someone in to the most private areas of his life. He thrives on being part of the Montgomery posse, and it looks really good on him!
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire Montgomery library to anyone who loves a sexy hero/heroine who also has a strong family support system behind them as love comes around and knocks them for a loop.

Wow! What an emotional roller coaster that was! These two, crew and Aria, are so … so … I don’t really have the right words to describe them! I absolutely loved reading this book! So many feels that I found myself speaking to the characters. “Don’t do it!” “Just tell her!” “What is wrong with you?” I will leave it up to you to figure out who I was talking to. Thank you for their story, I know it was a hard one to write, but so worth it!

I knew these two would be hot as soon as they got beyond their self imposed road blocks. Boy was I right! What a fabulous read. This is book three in this series and each reads as a stand-alone but they make more sense if read in order. Can’t wait to read book four!

Wow! What an emotional roller coaster that was! These two, crew and Aria, are so … so … I don’t really have the right words to describe them! I absolutely loved reading this book! So many feels that I found myself speaking to the characters. “Don’t do it!” “Just tell her!” “What is wrong with you?” I will leave it up to you to figure out who I was talking to. Thank you for their story, I know it was a hard one to write, but so worth it!

It is a great introduction for anyone looking for intertwined families, that will pop up throughout her books. You will laugh and cry with them and celebrate all those special moments.
The Montgomery Ink families are one of my favourites and it doesn't stop with the parents. You get the next generation too. Highly recommended

This collection includes Accidentally Forever and I just love love love Aria and Crew. Their unique connection that simply won't let go is something special. I really enjoyed the inner thoughts of these characters. The complications of them being together but also what they have going on felt like a lot but the way they work through it and the way they worked together was beautiful.

Far from Destined is the third book inCarrie Ann Ryan’s Promise me series. Dakota is the third women in the Pact sisters to go on her blind date, which ends up being a fake date with Macon. I loved this story and Joshua was the cutest. Can’t wait for Nate and Myra’s story.

This is a. great collection of romance stories. Go check out all of the titles in Carrie Ann's backlist. The romances are awesome. The small town romance aspect is really fun.
