~ An Inspirational Romantic Novelette Marshall’s Bride ~ Book 4
Is Marshall Kincaid getting married? Maybe someone should have told him.
Lizzie Neuman came to America filled with hopes and dreams for her and her husband. His unexpected death left her stranded in a new country. Not having anywhere to turn, she reluctantly responds to an ad for a mail order bride.
Marshall never planned to marry. In his line of work, he had to worry about people he arrested in the past coming after him. He accepted the path he’d chosen when he agreed to become the sheriff. He never intended to put a wife or children in harm’s way. So when Lizzie shows up in town, claiming to be his fiancée, and holding some letters supposedly from him, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out something isn’t right.
Who knew enough about Marshall to write such personal letters? Could this be an elaborate scheme to get revenge? Or is Lizzie the realization of a dream he never dared have?
" Marshall's Bride" by Susette Williams is the Fourth novelette in the (Mail Order Brides series:). I have really enjoyed all four of these novelettes. They are complete and can be read while waiting in a dr's office or when a person wants to escape reality for a short period of time! I love how they all connect to each other! After reading these stories I have changed my mind on mail order brides. I used to think how can people really find happiness by marrying someone they don't know but at least you really don't have ideals about your spouse that doesn't measure up to your ideal of what they are really like!
So do yourself a favor and get these four stories and make sure to read them in order.
The only thing I dislike about these novelettes and others are even if the stories are complete, they leave you wanting more but then doesn't really good full length novels? But if Susette Williams reads this review I am hoping she is thinking about adding stories to this series so we can read about the brother's offspring!
I know I just typed all of the same in my review of "Caleb's Bride" but it is all true!
Marshall arrives home from a business trip and is surprised to find that his finance is in town! Wait a minute, he doesn't even know he has one!
I think this novelette was my favorite one of the four! Who has answered Lizzie's post and sent her letters pretending to be Marshall? The answer is good and the reason even better!
Marshall gains something extra as well as a new bride, but to find out what , Read these fact paced stories and heart warming stories and you will be saying I want to know more about the Kincaid brothers!
I am giving " Marshall Bride's" five stars. I was given a pfd file by the author for a honest review!
I listened to the Audible audio version of this book.
"Marshall's Bride Was Another Good One In Series "
MARSHALL'S BRIDE was a nice relaxing listen. I love the MAIL ORDER BRIDE SERIES. These are short clean romances which is one thing I especially enjoy. These would make a great mini series.
In this instance, Lizzie and her hubby were coming to America and he fell ill and left her a widow. Lizzie began corresponding with who she thought was Marshall but it was really his mother. She wanted Marshall to have a good woman. Then her former brother in law Samuel came looking for her and the mine claim that he and his brother had. This stirred up some issues. And an even more unexpected arrival comes. I love that SUSETTE WILLIAMS writes these.
LAWRENCE D. YAKLIN did a fine job narrating. He had a good, old west gravelly voice that fit perfectly with the story. I liked how he read the story.

Marshall is my favorite brother in this series. He is the oldest, strong and always looking out for everyone. He meets Lizzie who has come to town claiming to be his fiance after corresponding to him through the mail order bride process...how did this happen if Marshall never wrote her? The story is fun and full of hope. Marshall is passionate and loving..a wonderful man and Lizzie is perfect for him
Lawrence Yaklin provides us with a beautiful performance.
This is the fourth and last book in the Mail Order Brides series. I enjoyed this book just as much as I did the other three. This is Marshall's story. Ms. Williams knows how to tell a great story in just a few pages. This is a quick but enjoyable read. I would recommend this story, as well as the first three. I received a PDF copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Loved the story. Really liked the spunky mom. Susette always makes her settings, and characters so real, that it is hard to realize I am reading a book, and not actually seeing, and hearing it all. Her stories are always complete, and ending satisfying. Received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I would have given this review, even if no free review of the story. (Louise Lois)
Susette's stories are always a treat to read. This one is no exception. Learning about all the brothers has been such fun. The interaction between mother and sons is super. What is great, is how each brother has accepted God's will for their lives. I can highly recommend this book and any book Susette has written. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair review.
Marshall's bride is a very enjoyable book. Lizzie arrives in town as Marshall mail order bride but he threw nothing about it. He is out of town and had a surprise when he gets home. It was a surprise also when find out who sent for her. Really love how Marshall is so caring and loving to Lizzie. I received this book in exchange for a honest review, loved it and definitely recommend it.
Marshall's mom did things behind his back that no one would ever expect. This is truly a amazing story watching how this story turns out. You won't be able to stop reading this book. I had the honor to review this book for the the author.
Miscommunication, girl comes out to be a mail order bride only to find out the man she thought she was marrying didn't b know anything about it. Fun read. Highly recommend.
Cute Mail Order Bride story. Marshall is the last of the Kincaid brother's to get married. A unique twist to the Mail Order arrival of Lizzie his bride. A quick easy read that keeps your attention throughout.
Out of all the Kincaid brothers I assumed Marshall would never marry. I enjoyed reading about him in this story and the changes inside him. What a great ending to a series.
