Sins of the Seventh is one of the most well written books I've read this year. It was so reminiscent of E. Lynn Harris and Milk in my Coffee Eric Jerome Dickey type novels in a great way. Spirit Ayers Chambers is a beautiful chiropractor married to a successful NBA player Galvin Chambers. To the outside, they have a perfect marriage but Spirit is lonely in her marriage and no answers why despite trying to be the perfect wife. Galvin has had his fair share of groupies like any other player, but he has a more sinister secret that he is grappling with. Tyrone Saint, a very close friend of Galvin's is also wondering what is wrong with Galvin....well the Galvin he knew. Galvin decides to confront his demons once and for all but at what cost? The characters were very well developed in this book, it was error free, and the author didn't have to use over the top sex scenes as fillers. Great book from beginning to end and I highly recommend it. 5 stars!

For starters the being of the book is really boring to me. I'm used to The Storytellah given me something that will totally Jeep my attention. Once I figured out who was Kim then I was like OK I'm understanding now where he's going with this book. Overall it was a good book but not one of my favorite books. This is just my opinion you will have to read it to determine what you think.

What a story.

If you're looking for something different, then check this book out. The twist and turns had my emotions all over the place. A few errors were found but nothing that took away from the talent of the author. The characters are realistic. I got a little bored in the middle, but I pushed on through. The ending is epic in my opinion. Always be true to yourself, and never paint a picture that doesn't look like you is definitely a lesson that I learned after reading this. Great job author.

Great story, left needing more though.

The writing and storytelling were great. However, the story moved slowly, no wow factor. The kudos in the beginning of the book, giving the author praise, for taking on this type of story stole the surprise factor for me. After that I knew where the book was going. No action, not much drama. Overall the story was a good ones and realistic, just very drawn out. Definitely need a part two. What happened with Kim, X and his new boo, Tyrone, careers etc?

Deep

I enjoyed this book and felt bad for Spirit right from the beginning. It took me longer to feel a connection to Galvin but in the end I wanted to hug in and take some of the pain from him. This book is well rounded and have a good number of supporting characters that helped connect the storyline although sometimes the amount of names being thrown at me confused me. I also liked that there was some unexpected moments.

Good read

The overall concept and story was good. It had very few minimal errors. I would like to have read how Tyrone story played out. It seems like Kim was playing Galvin and had no plans of leaving his wife or informing her. Did Galvin get his happily ever after? Did Spirit get hers? Good job Storytellah

7th Sins

Wow! It took great courage to touch on this subject and the fact that this is a reality in the NBA as well as other sports and national leagues. The story was interesting and kept me turning the pages. Spirit lives up to her name. She is beautiful and deserves a loving and healthy relationship. Can't wait to hear more from Trinity, Galvin, Tyrone, Spirit, and Olivia.

The beginning of a great story

This book told a really good story. However, it started off a little slow for my taste. As I continued reading, the pace seemed to pick up. I look forward to reading more in the sequel.

Nice read

I gave this book 4 stars and not because it wasnt good enough but it was a little slow for me and took a while for me to get into it. But once the storyline picked up I was locked.

Page turner

This is a page turner for real. I haven't moved from this since I started reading. The love triangle is what got me for real. It really shocked me. Well written and well told but something is missing. I guess it was the fact of it felt as if it was a story being told.

The book was pretty good and worth the read. I like how somethings weren't said right away and you had to piece it together or wait till it was revealed.

Sins Of The Seventh !!!

This was one book I couldn't put down. I highly recommend it to others. U will think n look at some issues from a different perspective after reading.
The indiscretions which lead to convictions had a whole lot of lives at stake, secrets confronted and exposed.
The book confronted some real issues of this present age- being on the down low , homosexuality, and infidelity. Some real healing esp. in the black community has to take place. Galvin and Spirit got divorced n healed at the same time. But where does it go from here? What about the other lives and their sins.
Eagerly waiting on the next part !
Storytellah get that pen twerking!!

When the music switched, I knew.

This was a great story that sadly a lot of people live through daily. I don't want to say too much because this is one of those books that you cant just talk about.... you have to DISCUSS IT, and if you haven't read it I don't wait to spoil it for you. I want you to have the opportunity to sit there with your mouth hanging open, rereading things to make sure you actually read what you think you just read five and six times for conformation. I will say, this book EARNED all 5 of it's stars and I'm hoping there is a part 2 coming soon and very soon.

My name is K Sherrie,
And I recommend this read.

I normally don't care for romances, but this was a pleasant surprise. There's more going on here than just a romance novel.
'Sins of the Seventh' explores the psychological side of love and attraction, and what really motivates people to behave the way they do. Some characters go to great lengths to rationalize doing things they know they shouldn't be doing, such as lying, cheating, and pretending to be something they aren't. Others hold fast to their moral convictions, and face the tough choices, even when it hurts to do so.
Overall, quite an interesting read.

Very surprised

This book started of slow but ended up the winner.. This story is about portraying that image. Losing yourself to satisfy others. I wandered how many times in life this was me.. Maybe it wasn't the same situation but I drove other people in my tangled web.. How can you protect the innocent without hurting yourself... Once the secrets and lies all comes out. The only thing left is to forgive yourself and come clean.

Sins of the Seventh by Storytellah!!!! OMG…..Excellent, excellent job! Spirit was married to Galvin; a basketball player. Galvin was hiding a secret from Spirit that was destroying him from being at peace. This was an awesome book that deals with a variety of issues; trust, homosexuality, and infidelity.

Surprising

This book surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to have all of the plot twists and turns that it did. Calvin Chambers was very brave at the end. He was determined to live in his truth. There were no grudges held in the end. Yes, I recommend this book.

This book was right up on the level of E. Lynn Harris lgbt books. Many men go into heterosexual relationships to hide who they really are for fear of someone finding out. Then you have that jealous lover who they end things with and begin to think on how they can ruin their lives by putting the person business on social sites or through the tabloids. I'm sure Gavin felt that after going through what he was going through he was being convicted spiritually and felt that it was only right for him to make things right with everyone. I thought the author wrote a fantastic piece showing how the character decide to be a man about what he was doing to other people, but also to himself with not being real. To end a divorce on friendly terms does not happen much in most divorce cases, but Gavin saw fit that Spirit deserved everything that he gave her because to the woman that she was. She not once thought to cause harm or scandalize his name with they conversation they both ended up having. I'm sure people don't realize that some athletes are down-low brothers who are hiding what they really are as well as music artist/moguls. I thought I was actually in this story with everything that went on in everyone lives. Here's another good book by this author that I have enjoyed. I would love to read more on Trinity and what happens in her life.
