Pınar Selek (born October 8, 1971) is a Turkish sociologist, feminist, and author. She is known for her work on the rights of vulnerable communities in Turkey, including women, the poor, street children, sexual minorities, and Kurdish communities. She is the author of several books published in Turkish, German, and French, and is one of the founding editors of Amargi, a Turkish feminist journal. She currently resides in France and became a French citizen in 2017.

Türkiye'den bu kadar nefret eden aydin kimliginde bir kadin, batida kendisine kanat gerecek yapiyi tabi ki kolaylikla bulmus. Türkiye en kolay hedef, istedigin kadar saldir, yaninda hep birilerini bulursun, nasilsa 1.Dünya savasindan beri ülke olarak yapilanmis olabilmesi hala batiyi cildirtiyor, ama az kaldi yakinda tamamen ele gecirirler. O zaman ne diyecek bu yalanci aydin kesimi, merak ediyorum. Keske anlattigi gibi azinliklarin yaninda dik dursa, o zaman hakliligina herkes inanirdi, 19 yüzyilin sonundan itibaren parcalanan Osmanli topraklarinda adi konmamis cok kiyim yapildi ama bunlarin sonucunda olenlerin cogu müslümandir aynen su anda tüm dünyada terörist damgasi yiyip ölenler gibi. Pinar Selek gibi insanlarin biraz vicdan sahibi olmalarini ve Balkan, Kafkas ve tüm Orta Dogu hakkinda daha fazla okumalarini beklerim. Kitabin tek olumlu yani ailesinin ve kendisinin hapiste cektikleri yuzunden nefretinin sebebini anliyor olmamiz. Umarim bir gün kendini affeder.

Total delusion. I would definitely prefer listening to her lectures/conferences or reading her essays rather than this long-distance-biographical-something.
