Better than I originally thought
This was a slightly different take on the genre. I started this awhile ago but got bored about a page or so in. I guess nothing jumped off those first few pages to reel me in. I never delete a book without reading it and I needed to make room for something else on my Kindle so I decided to try this one again. This time I couldn't put it down.
All I have to say (without including spoilers) is:
-Jim has to be THEE suckiest best friend in the world. You won't know what I mean til you get to that part. Harvey wasn't upset, but I was upset for him.
-There is no room for romance in a zombie apocalypse.
-They have zero room to be self righteous about what Jaime and those teenage girls (or even the Capt in a small degree) did trying to survive. They were very hypocritical. In fact, they actually say that they were the only two that really mattered and they were selfish when it meant their own survival. (I say "they" to not give anything away about who makes it and who doesn't).
The ending was rather ridiculous. Well, I guess not ridiculous if you are a gamer or a fan of game based movies like Resident Evil or Doom (which I am) but I just don't expect to see it in books. Anything can happen in movies, but in my books I expect the rules to be followed. I guess I'm very, "my food must'nt touch" in that regard, lol.
Overall, I enjoyed it and I'm glad that I gave it another chance.
