My entire life has been horses, even after nearly dying on one. Combine that with my competitive nature, and it’s no surprise I’m pushing myself to be a barrel racing champion.
But with the grueling hours of practice, and hauling my trailer to rodeo after rodeo, it doesn’t leave much space for anything else.
So what little free time I get, I lose in books.
Except that they awaken a curiosity I can’t seem to satisfy on my own.
Making a deal with a stranger online to scratch that itch may sound risky, yet I set the rules so we can both have fun…
Until the day those lines get blurred.
When the truth finally escapes the walls we both put in place, will I be able to love the man behind the mask, or ruin everything I’ve built?

I have been longing for Sophia and Oliver's book since Oliver first made an appearance and oh my soul, I loved it so much. Sophia competes in horse racing so you can only imagine the setting we get in this one, horses, cowboy hats, rally/rodeo vibes! It was great! I also loved that we're back on Black Gulch Ranch for the rest of the book. After the ending of Bridles, I didn't know what to expect because something so heartbreaking happened it threw me and it felt good to be back with Mason and his family.
I love that Sophia is a reader and so is Oliver. I like that we get to see what happened between him and Paige from his point of view and see a side of him that the glimpses we get throughout the series never showed. The whole anonymous game going on between Sophia and Oliver was actually really hot and kept the spicy scenes really fun. There were such sweet moments, moments where both characters needed to heal and I love that they both grew so much.
The ongoing mystery regarding who is targeting Black Gulch Ranch is becoming even more series and the ending of this book feels long-awaited but still had my head spinning!! I cannot wait for the next one!
When I tell yall I have been feral this entire series. And then Sophia and Ollie’s book hit me FULL FORCE. I love this world, I Love this couple (nothing will take ford out of my top spot, sorry). But I LOVED them so much. And I can not wait to get to reins. To see this whole thing close up and come to an end will be bittersweet but I can not wait to figure out what all these little bread crumbs are leading to.
I love this series!! We get to Sophia’s story, she is reeling from the tragedy that struck their family and trying to rebuild After her injury. So when a member of the books club chat gives a recommendation she takes it if her will read one of her books . Soon the chat has become a 1-1 conversation and they learn things about each other they really need.
When they finally meet it is with a mask, he knows who she is though. But he refuses to show his face or kiss her until she loves him. But it’s a risk for both of them…
Another great installment to the Black Gulch series. This book was a lot of fun. Hidden identities, only talking through text until the time was right for the masked man to be revealed, spice!
I fell for Oliver so hard! I loved every minute of his POVs. He’s not the man I got a glimpse of in Badges. There’s so much more to him. Did I mention that he’s a calf roper AND he owns a construction company?!
Sophia is such a spitfire. So fiercely independent, and she asks for what she wants. She has a side that wants to be taken care of, and she has a dream for her future. I love that she found a man who will do anything to give her that.
GOOD GOLLY ITS OLLIE! This man! This man! He is perfection wrapped in heaven! He is the perfect amount of everything you need! This book I'm obsessed with it! I love it so much! These books just get better and better! And it gets hotter and hotter. I'm obsessed with this series. It's phenomenal and so binge worthy.
Not gonna lie I swear Sophia's story is absolutely my favorite by far in this whole freaking series!!! I love the communication between the 2 characters in this story, it flowed so perfectly. The MMC is Mr Perfect in my eyes as a book boyfriend big time. I was hooked from the moment I started this book! I'm a bit salty about the ending but I'll live I guess🤣
Sophie has had me intrigued since the start. She is a wild one and I've always loved her spirit and love of books :) I was all to happy to get to read her story and see the softer, vulnerable side of her that she tends to hide from the rest of the world.
I didn't think I was going to like Oliver, to be honest. We first meet him earlier in the series, and first impressions were not great. I was relieved to learn the full story, though my heart hurt for him and his past. I love how intertwined these characters are throughout the series and that even this far along, we still get to keep up with the characters from other books.
These two were so fun to fall in love with. I was living for the text exchanges and getting to witness them skipping all the steps ... straight to my heart.
Highly recommend not just this book, but the entire Black Gulch Ranch Series! Start with Spurs 🤎
I'm over here trying to wrap my brain around what just happened in this especially at the very end that was a bomb drop. My jaw literally hit the floor. And this installment in the series nailed it on the head. It takes things up a whole other level adding more to the storyline. I loved Oliver and Sophia together they're exactly what each other needs. I also liked how in the beginning of the relationship they didn't know who they were talking to. Then there's the underlying issue and the lurking danger still ever present in this. There’s even more mystery surrounding the who is behind it of the bigger question. I cannot not recommend this book series more than enough. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book because I need answers. An incredible read that I highly recommend.
Loved this book and I love this whole series. It will definitely be a reread for me. Lori and Mason will probably always be my favorites, but this one is easily my second favorite, maybe tied with Wade and Elena’s story. It was just so good. I will say, the only book I haven’t enjoyed was Sawyers.
One thing I especially loved was the term of endearment “baby.” I think it is so sweet, and I love when the FMC says it to the MMC. Something about that dynamic just gets me every time.
Also, I have been intrigued by Cade ever since Mason and Lori’s book. I feel like there is so much more to his story, and I cannot wait to read his book next. I just know it is going to be good.
MAAAA I love this series! It really grabs my attention and keeps it! The ending has me begging for more! I can’t wait to see if my theories are correct or just plain wrong!
This book follows Sophia and Oliver. Sophia wants what every book girl wants. A man who will claim her and do anything to protect her. Oliver is a man scorned by his ex wife Paige. She tricked him into marriage and always ch3ated on him. Then he discovers a woman who wants the things he wants in Sophia.
They decide to meet at a rodeo event, wearing masks. Oliver figures out who she is. But he keeps the secret up while trying to get Sophia to fall for him.
This book ends on cliffhanger and what secrets are about to revealed…I can’t wait to find out!!

Wowza..M.A. Cobb has outdone herself with Rodeos. I am absolutely loving the Black Gulch Series and Rodeos has to be one of my new favorites in the series. Sophia is a feisty, strong young woman, and Oliver knows what he wants, and is very protective. The chemistry between Sophia & Oliver is off the charts! These two are meant for one another and when they get together...look out. This book was fantastic! I loved every minute of it, even the cliffhanger at the end that leaves you needing the next book right now!
I LOVEEEEEEE the MMC of this book that ends up with Sophia. I had to do some serious memory searching to remember him but wow, it was so good. I loved Oliver & Sophia together. The way the connect on an anonymous level and then it finally comes to light who is who. It was great. I love all of the McCullough family and alllllll of the babies 🥹
This one definitely made some head way after book 6. I feel like the ending to this series with book 8 is going to be major and I cannnnnnnot wait to read it.
Oh man this entire series has had me head over heels in love with everything cowboys. I have been excited about readying Sophie's story because she always showed herself as strong and confident in the other books so I wanted to know more about her. Sophie definitely didnt disappoint. She and Ollie make the perfect couple and the way there love story begins is oh so amazing. I absolutely loved every second of it but that ending has left me screaming like what in the world.
I have enjoyed this series and I would say I continue to enjoy it, but I must say that this felt rushed and underdeveloped. Sophia and Oliver started strong and then it was just a series of jump cuts through the action and development. I like Cobb’s writing. It’s engaging and compelling, but I was disappointed by how underdeveloped this was. Will I read the next one? Absolutely, but my expectations are tempered.
ive been looking forward to sophias book and also olivers since we met his cheating hussy wife. im happy he got to have his happy ending. im not usually big on the enemies to lovers trope but i do love the secret identity aspect of it. now i cant wait for cades book to finally find out whos behind everything thats been happening
