What would happen if a country like North Korean obtained the Orion weapons?
They are only in Poland a few hours and the Patel sisters face a monstrous threat as several mercenaries invade their hotel suite intending to kill them and steal the talisman they have brought from India. With the help of Colton Banyon they manage to capture the men and set them free in the park across the street. They then head off to Freud-a-size several other people.
Eric and Loni head off to another location to recover another talisman, but run into a very unhappy mercenary who wants to kill Wilk. They subdue the man, but have to wait for several hours until help can arrive to finish their mission.
Meanwhile, the Dewey & Beatem people arrive from America. Banyon has summoned them because he needs to save twelve people from a fraudulent hospital. They put their plan in motion and bring Josephine Wilk, the aunt of Albin Wilk back to their suite. She is a necessary part of his plan to set everything right and collect the Orion weapons.
As usual, Colton Banyon runs into many complications.

Book 3: Deception a Colton Banyon Myteries

The Kubickis’ imagination is really different. They write the wackiest of stories, most are totally far-fetched, sometime even ridiculous and some obsessed with horny females but most have two things in common: they are entertaining and far from being overly taxing.

In this series we never know from one book to the other if anything will wrap up by the end I guess this is a tactic well used to pique our need to go further in order to see what comes next. So far in “The Society of Orion” series each book has left us hanging at the end and quite abruptly in fact. Since book 1, Colton and his sidekicks, who were chasing weapons before the bad guys get a hold of them have entertained us with their bizarre buffoonery and their hilarious antics. This bunch of Ninja characters have ran more than one occasion into so many complications it is a joy to follow them on their quest. We may have a sort of wrap up this time that the gang left Poland for hopefully a new chapter in their life. But I am sure the next sage will be as thrilling as all their previous endeavors.

Nothing is easy for the team and their involvement make a hell of a fun read

In this book, Colton Banyon decides that he has to keep and protect the Orion weapons, but there are several sinister plots a foot to prevent him. The North Koreans are the most serious threat so he designs a plan to stop them. Using deception and a little slide of hand he and his team put everything right.

Another fun read in the series. I like the added characters. It's like watching a TV show (I'd like that!). This one wraps up the case of the Orion weapons but I get a sense that the trouble isn't completely over... maybe somewhere down the road we'll deal with the Society and/or it's enemies again. I'm ready for the next Dubious book!

The author adds his own historical information in the last pages. I found it very interesting. Must be pretty cool to work with your son on a project like this. They are both very lucky indeed.

Series recommended. I suggest the Dubious Series first just because it's good fun. The Society of Orion books are a Banyon Family detour in the overall big picture; these I recommend reading in order. It's not absolutely necessary to read all, or even strictly in order the Dubious books, but if you're a series reader its just great fun to follow from the start. Paranormal, Mystery, Thriller, Crime, Romance and more; kick-ass women and gentlemen. What more can you ask for?

Back to part three of the Society of Orion, where Colton and his friends now have set a trap and waiting to spring it. Interestingly, things never seem to go their way often enough, forcing the team to adapt and come up with contingency plans on the way.

When Colton is determined, it shows. Cat fights, dirty tricks are not above the team as the stakes are high: if North Korea gets their hands on the talismans it will be a new unpleasant era. This is a race against time, with no room for error.

As the enemy mercenaries are disposed of in the most hilarious ways, things heat up as plans are revealed and double crossings become triple. Truly a page chaser as the story reaches climax.

It would not be Patel clan if there are no funny incidents by the way, but truly those might be the breather you get while trying to close this case.

Must read for science/ history buff readers.

I've become quite a fan of the Colton Banyon thrillers over the last few years. They combine action with a bit of fantasy and some historical elements. Not to mention the sexy ladies(always a positive).

DECEPTION winds up the current trilogy of the Society of Orion and the magic talismans. A great read with a promise os more to come later down the road in the series.

Recommended highly.
