Dan Burton
This was a really good Book in this Series. Unfortunately the fact the Rangers do not shoot the Outlaws when they have the chance, especially the very dangerous Leader and his Sick Brother when the initially had the chance!! This causes me to loose interest, when the Author just uses this to continue his story of filling pages with words. I am leaving this Series of Dan Burton and maybe all books by this Author!

Disappointed this time
I have enjoyed the series to this point but this book was so full of unfactual information and unbelievable stuff that it was painful to finish. First they “lighten the load” to survive the desert and magically Dan has a pair of pliers!? Happened several times. Phooey! Ain’t reading any more of this garbage.

Wow what a story this was!
This book fascinated me, my grandparents grew up in Texas, one in Happy and the other in Canyon. We grew up on stories about breaking wild horses and the bitter storms but never about the heat. My sister has been living near Dora New Mexico and she's moving back home as the heat is so bad! Great storyline and writing!

Good reading
Another good reading book from Clem Mariotte. I enjoyed this book like I did the others by Clem Mariotte. His books are enjoyable reading that you can't keep on reading until you get to the end.
