This book was *mwah* 🤌 Chef’s Kiss

Book two picked up right where we ended on the cliffhanger from book one. Obviously it’s focused a lot on Evelyn and Adam because they are the ones who were taken prisoner by HPAW.

To be honest, if I had to choose a favorite from the duo, it would be Revelations. BUT I should’ve tempered my expectations because clearly book 1 had the falling in love and relationship development. And then Atonement was HEAVY on the action. We still saw some romance, but not nearly as much.

I also enjoyed having some different POVs. When we started to learn about Adam’s mate I updated my GR status saying I wanted more of that… and was happy to receive a hint of it.

I’m going to keep it very generic to avoid spoilers, but the new addition towards the end of the story was so sweet and wholesome. It was cute to see how the characters reacted and behaved.

LOW: Atonement immediately sucks you in and keeps your attention with the fast moving storyline. Super bingeable and a great read.

I received this ARC from the author and this is my honest feedback.

I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest, voluntary review.

Invi's books are just so easy to read and get lost in the world. The second book in the Land of Wolves Duology was no different. Book one left us in a very precarious place, so I was desperate to start book two and find out what was going to happen next. Evelyn and Adam have been captured by HPAW. Ev's literal worst fear is being back in their clutches after she finally saw how much they manipulated her and destroyed her life. We get pure action for the first third of the book. I was holding out hope for the shifters to come to the rescue but it was a nail biter waiting to see if that was ever going to happen. I loved the bond that grew between Evelyn and Adam and the creative ways they found to attempt to communicate with the pack.

What I love so much about these books and the created shifter community is the genuine feeling of love and care between the characters. The most tender and sweet moments happened amidst the chaos and strife. The fated mates trope is swoon worthy and in this book I found myself wishing that was a real thing that I could experience. The all encompassing feeling of safety and love would be the ultimate gift.

I was taken on a journey with Evelyn's character, seeing her growth and sense of responsibility for a community that she betrayed, change to one of belonging and forgiveness. And we can't forget about Chunk, who was such a sweet reminder that redemption is there if we take a chance to reach for it. I could see more interconnected books within this world, and I'd love to see more about Adam and Bells; their enemies to lovers story could be epic.

✨ARC Review✨

I’m so sad the series is over, I love this world and the characters. This one sucked me in faster than I was sucked into the first one, devouring it in less than 24 hours. Typically I prefer a multi-POV, but even being a single POV I adored this duology. It’s hard to say how much I loved it without giving spoilers! It was fast paced but not in a way that felt rushed, but like you were right along side the characters. A lovely HEA. Definitely helped pull me out of my book slump. I also tend to need to re-read when there’s a gap in book releases but this duology was so well written that the world and characters and plot stayed fresh in my mind and I was able to just pick up and go, I feel like that says something!

5/5 ⭐️ I can’t wait to see what Invi releases next!

Land of Wolves by Invi Wright is a wildly bingeable dystopian wolf-shifter romantasy duology filled with assassin missions, mate-bond chaos, political tension, and betrayal in truly devastating quantities. 🐺🔥

Atonement picks up immediately after that absolutely brutal cliffhanger, with Evelyn dragged back into HPAW custody while Knox battles shattered trust, a strained mate bond, and an escalating human-shifter war to bring her home.

Invi Wright’s writing is always ridiculously easy to fall into. The setting feels vivid without ever becoming overwhelming, and somehow the characters, politics, and emotional tension all unfold so naturally that you never feel lost or bogged down by info dumping. Everything flows with purpose. Every interaction, reveal, and emotional punch builds so seamlessly

And Adam! We got a lot more of him in this book and I loved every second of it. He has big black cat energy, cranky, chaotic, unintentionally hilarious, and somehow still weirdly lovable. The Evelyn and Adam dynamic is genuinely one of the highlights for me.

Their banter is sharp, messy, and ridiculously entertaining, but underneath all the sarcasm and mutual irritation there’s this unexpected loyalty that makes their relationship so addictive to read. “I loathe Adam, but also I think he’s my best friend.” Honestly, that line captures their relationship perfectly.

Respectfully, I am not emotionally done with this series and I’m going to need several more books immediately.

With how things ended with the first book, I was ravenous for the second book. Though it did hold my attention, I think the storyline was just okay.

The beauty of the first book was the tension and high stakes. There was enough action to keep your heart pumping and when there wasn’t, you were invested in the community dynamics and world building. In this book, I think the beginning is super strong because the stakes are the highest, but after about the 30% mark, everything starts to just fall into place. The stakes may be high but everything becomes easily won. We didn’t get to see a lot of the action scenes, just the aftermath which lost the much needed tension.

I fell in love Adam’s character in LoWR and was looking forward to seeing his and Evelyn’s relationship morph into a closer friendship especially with all this new trauma, but besides the beginning (for obvious reasons), they didn’t spend much time together. This kind of bummed me out.

The ending is a bit too nuanced. Though we get closure on all the important questions, the ending didn’t feel like an ending.

Though it wasn’t my favorite, I still had a good time reading it.

A big thank you to Invi Wright for the ARC!

Land of Wolves: Atonement by Invi Wright 🐺❣️🌲

When we left off in the previous book, Evelyn and Adam were taken by HPAW. They're now being held captive, forced to navigate heavy interrogation and torture by the organization. Presented with having to walk a tightrope with HPAW leadership watching her every move and upholding secretive communication with Adam, Evelyn must do whatever she can to make it out alive and back to her mate and pack.

I'm truly at a loss for words at how much I enjoyed this. I've been reading a few of Invi's books while waiting to receive this ARC, and I genuinely believe this duology has been her best work yet. She does an incredible job of painting the scene; immersing you in the world she's built and walking you through the story in a way that will have you on the edge of your seat.

I loved Evelyn's development in this, seeing her become stronger in a different way and grow into herself. Adam was already a favorite for me in the first book, but I think his character really grew on me even more. All in all this was a delightful read and I'm hoping for a spinoff, because I'm not fully ready to give up this world of shifters and the stories of their mate bonds.

Thank you again Invi for trusting me with this piece of you and sending me this ARC. 💗

I will never not love an Invi book.
Her writing is some of my favorite.

Getting to see what happens to Ev and Adam was heartbreaking but so interesting. Ev finds out how truly in the dark she was with HPAW. Having her sacrifice a big part of herself to protect Caleb ruined me.
I hated seeing her get betrayed by someone who was so important to her at one point, even if he also helped save her in ways.
If you thought HPAW was bad in Revelations, just wait cause it gets SO MUCH WORSE. I can’t even accurately describe how much I despise them.
Ev finds others like her and helps to try saving them. Humans aren’t trusting of wolves or humans associated with them so it’s a bit rough at first.
Things progress and more mates are discovered.
Chunk is one of the people saved and I love them.
Also, girl with blue hair?! Yes please. I have blue hair and I love seeing characters with it too!

I thought this book was relatively low spice, just a few scenes. It mostly focused on the war aspect and rescuing everyone, humans AND wolves.
I know it’s just a duology but I would honestly love to read about more characters.

Part 2 of the Land of Wolves Duology

This picks up immoderately where book one leaves off.

Evelyn has been captured by HPAW, she’s just come out of surgery and is in the hospital.

You follow Evelyn and Adam as they’re stuck together in HPAW, waiting for Caleb to rescue them.

Eventually, HPAW drives Evelyn and Adam to a field to execute them. Evelyn manages to shoot some soldiers and just as she does, hordes of wolves run out of the woods and attack. It’s a bloodbath! One that leaves her heartbroken…

After Evelyn and Adam are both back safely in the hands of the Wolves. They find out HPAW has been breeding marked humans and wolves at their Florida facility. The wolves make a plan to break in and free the humans held captive there.

Unfortunately, one of the other alphas goes rogue and almost costs them their whole plan.

If you want to know what happens after, and if they get the humans out, you’ll have to read this book.

I promise you won’t be disappointed. There’s also the possibility of a spin off about Adam, and/or Sash and Logan!

✨ARC Review✨

There has yet to be something written by Invi that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed, and this was no exception.

We pick up right where book 1 ended and have to watch Evelyn and Adam being held by HPAW. This part was brutal because I love these characters so much (especially Adam)

The story moves along super quickly, and while I can appreciate that, I wish there were more time spent with the other characters. Both Caleb and Adam were moving in the background for a majority of the book, which made sense for the plot, but I still would have liked to see Evelyn spend more time with them.

Justice was dealt (very, very swiftly), and being able to see Caleb, Evelyn, and my love, Hudson, live a normal life was a great ending to this duology.
With the added bonus of leaving Adam and Bell's relationship in a place full of potential, I can now choose to believe that he’s living the life he's always wanted.

Honestly, I just wish that there were more books. I could read 800+ pages of these characters and their lives.

this was a good sequel but i really liked the first one more.

i didn’t really like Evelyn’s character in this one but it was nice to see how she grew and changed at the end.

i wasn’t invested in the shifters taking down HPAW, i thought it would’ve had more action but at least there was a HEA.

i was also really sad Evelyn cut off her mark, just because she went through so much to lighten it and now it’s just gone.

chunks was adorable and i loved that he was in here. I’m glad Evelyn warmed up to him in the end because he’s just a baby!

i loved invi’s drawings of chunks, esp the ones with him and caleb and Evelyn, and Evelyn and caleb as a wolf.

there was hardly any smut and i wish there was more of caleb in here. loved his character in the first one but didn’t see much of him in this one, but I loved the scenes of him with hudson.

i also loved the growing romance between adam and bells and i’m so glad they found each other in the end.

Evelyns mission was supposed to be easy. Get close to her mate, Alpha Knox, learn all of his secrets & then kill him.

The difficulty started when she fell in love with the man she was raised to hate. Now she is being held captive by the humans who raised her to kill Alpha Knox.

Tensions are high between the humans and shifters and there is no going back. Alpha Knox should hate Evelyn, so the question is….does he leave her behind or does he rescue her from the humans?

This is by far one of the best duology series I’ve read. The tension between Evelyn and Alpha Knox is to die for. I love their banter, and honestly enjoyed the character growth between them.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Land of Wolves series and have started to branch out into other novels written by Invi. I find her writing very clear and easy to follow!

In the end I highly recommend this duology if you enjoy fantasy and shifter romance!

This duology is so addictive and bingeable. I loved the way Evelyn and Caleb’s relationship progressed and healed in this conclusion to their story. Ev’s growth was obvious as things progressed, and it was lovely to see her making decisions with herself and the future of her family in mind this time around. I absolutely ADORED the addition of sweet little Chunk into the story as well. It left me hoping for more novels in the Land of Wolves universe just so I can get little glimpses into their lives together.

Adam’s personal journey and his relationship with Evelyn was one of my favorite parts of this book. I loved him in book one, and I was so glad to see more of him in book two. The found family aspect here felt crucial for Evelyn’s character development and her overall relationship with the shifters.

Invi really did not miss with these two books. I can only hope the ending was a setup for more.

Thank you to Invi Wright for the ARC. All opinions are my own. 🖤

Until Fable adds it, this is a placeholder for Land of Wolves: Atonement by Invi Wright. Firstly, I want to thank the author and her team for the continued opportunity to be on the permanent ARC team. It’s truly a blessing and I’m extremely grateful. On to the review! Something I always adore about Invi’s books are her characters. She takes extreme care of how each and every one of them is feeling at all times. I fell in love with Evelyn, Caleb and a certain character I can’t explain without spoilers. The found family/fated mates trope was executed beautifully between them. My only criticism is in regard to the “war” aspect between the shifter clans and the human world. I felt like I was itching for a deeper political dive, but I recognize my bias given my typical go-to genres are conflict-heavy sci-fi’s / dystopian fantasies. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and I am beyond excited for her next series in the works.

I received this book as an ARC read, and this was one of my most anticipated reads because book one completely hooked me. This picks up right where book one ends, and you get to see more of the environment the FMC grew up in before meeting the MMC. I think it really helps you better understand the physical and psychological trauma she experienced growing up in that environment, and it gives more insight into why she acts the way she does throughout the story.

I will say I personally liked book one a little more, but I still absolutely devoured this book and finished it in under 24 hours. I think a few scenes could’ve used a little more action to make them hit harder, but overall this was still such an entertaining read that kept me fully invested.

There’s also less spice in this one compared to book one, which made me a little sad, but it honestly made sense with everything going on in the story. And I really loved how the ending wrapped things up, especially the bonus chapters at the end.

Overall, I’m still a huge fan of this author and will absolutely keep reading whatever she releases next.

Land of Wolves: Atonement was the perfect second half in this duology! This book picks up right in the thick of the drama and action that we were left in at the end of book 1, and the pace is rapid fire. Of course Caleb and the rest of the shifters would not leave our favorites (Evelyn and Adam) in the hands of HPAW, and the plot to rescue them is immediately underway. Once rescued, the new mission is to take down HPAW once and for all (thank goodness!!).

This was such an enjoyable and fast paced book that I could not put it down and finished in about 24 hours! There was everything you could ask for: drama, action, love, angst, spice, and tons of cinnamon roll moments that'll make you melt. I am a huge fan of Invi and so happy I got to ARC read this series!! Cannot wait to see how Bells and Adam's story goes next!

Huge thanks to the author for this ARC!

This was just as addictive as the first and impossible to put down. I was desperate to see how this story would unfold, and each chapter immediately pulled me into the next.

After the first book’s cliffhanger, we pick up right where we left off..absolute chaos. There’s a lot of action, and everything feels high stakes from the very start. Given the situation, this doesn’t have the same dark tone as the first. Similar to the previous book, Evelyn’s internal dialogue and the impulsive things she says had me laughing and gave much needed comedic relief during the darker moments.

I loved how things wrapped up for Evelyn and Caleb. The ending leaves just enough open to suggest there could be more books exploring this world and some of the side characters.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this one and let me tell you... it did not disappoint.

I think my favorite thing about Invi's writing is the pacing. The plot moves at a rapid clip and it keeps me hooked the entire time. I'm never feeling like things aren't moving along and it's exactly what my brain is craving throughout the twists and turns of the plot.

Book 1 in this duology left us on such a cliffhanger that I was RUNNING to this one - and everything picked up perfectly. I love these complex characters, I love the journeys they all go on, and I especially love the relationships they forge.

The spice is super fun in this one and fits the characters perfectly.

Overall I just love the ride this took me on and I can't wait to see what this author comes out with next!

This is easily one of my top three favourite duologies. Invi has done it again and had me completely captivated from start to finish. I genuinely can’t believe the Land of Wolves series is over, although I definitely feel like there’s room for more. This book wrapped up the series so well, and the character development throughout was enough to make you truly fall in love with the characters. Caleb has easily become one of my favourite MMCs, and the ending was the perfect conclusion to such an intense, emotional, and drama-filled story. I ended up finishing this book so quickly and would highly recommend to anyone who loves tension, plot twists, hidden identity, spice and shifters.

🖤🩸 Land Of Wolves Atonement — Invi Wright 🩸🖤

I’m so incredibly lucky to be on @inviwright street team and have early access to the second book in the Land Of Wolves universe and guys OMG this was incredible. Incredibly descriptive, revenge driven, second chance, fated mates, shifters vs. The US government and their sneaky dark secrets. There’s so much to unpack here. I loved every minute of the deceit, revenge, deception, spice, redemption and everything else atonement has to offer.

Once again we have the beautiful chapter heading art to look forward to by Invi herself, and character art done by @kelci2d and @madirune to bring the story to life even more!

✨💜 Land Of Wolves Atonement is out June 30!💜✨

I love how simple and entertaining this duology was. I really enjoy how approachable this author’s writing style is. It’s not overly complex or dense, which makes the story so easy to sink into and genuinely fun to read. I can absolutely pick apart a story when something isn’t working for me, but I never really felt the need to with hers. (Minus the amount of times “HPAW” was said in the first book 😂.) I’m just along for a fun ride with these books, and this duology absolutely did the trick. I’m glad we got answers to everything by the end, plus a little extra of Adam’s story too. And now I desperately need a chubby baby to squish and love on. 🤗

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dystopian, wolf shifters, romance and high stakes suspense had me hooked from page one.

Book one leaves you on one hell of a cliffhanger and book two hits the ground running.

Evelyn and Adam have been captured by HPAW and they are ruthless. I loved how Evelyn and Adam try to take care of one another and how Adam tries to protect her.

The book kept me on the edge of my seat as you weren’t sure what kind of hell was going to happen to them next.

The book wasn’t super spicy but still had a few scenes sprinkled in. Alpha Knox is uber possessive over her and I ate that up.

I’m excited to see how Adam and Bells relationship develops in the next book. She is feisty!

Land of Wolves: Atonement by Invi Wright is the conclusion to the Land of Wolves duet. It’s fast-paced and action driven with an endearing element of found family.

I feel like character development & emotional depth were sacrificed in favor of action packed sequences, which made it difficult to stay engaged and invested in the story. I can easily imagine the film adaptation of this duet but it’s a tad superficial and you mostly see it for the loud explosions and impressive stunts.

Adam is, without a doubt, my favorite character in both books. Land of Wolves: Atonement comes out June 30th. Paranormal romance fans of fast-paced and action driven storylines should check it out!

I really enjoyed this ARC copy of the Land of Wolves Revelations book, but I wish Evelyn had more about her story instead of the few Bells chapters at the end. Evelyn’s trauma was deep and I felt there was more to be shared about her past . Also I want to mention that the first half of the book was incredible. I really enjoyed the scenes inside of HPAW as a captive and how her relationship with Adam was essential to both of their survival. Idk what loving the torture scenes says about me as a person but I was here for it and could not put this book down!

The perfect amount of spice and a story that keeps you hooked from the first page. I couldn’t wait to start this as soon as I received the ARC and I’m so sad there isn’t more. This is definitely a MUST read! One of her best works! Caleb is my favorite book boyfriend🤤

Land of Wolves:Atonement

Book 2 picks up pretty much right where book 1 ends. Our FMC has been captured by the government agency that trained her to be a killer. She is in enemy territory and must find a way to escape snd find out if her mate is ok. Packed full of action, I finished this book in a few hours. I felt there was significant growth for the FMC and overall I felt this was an great edition to the series. Looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.

I received the ARC the other day and finally finished it. I absolutely loved it. Invi's writing is my favorite. She could write about dirt, and it would still be good 😂. She knows what she's doing.

I'm so glad we got more Adam and he found his mate! 😭 I'm still sad they had to remove their marks and they won't get them back but I understand why they had to do it. The ending was satisfying to me. We got HEA all around.

And again she knocks it out the park! Would've never guessed Daniel would have an inkling of humanity towards Evelyn and finally Bells and Adam?! Where's the book?! 💳 We're ready!🥹 Also I'm eager to see more of Everette, maverick, and king! I'm so happy they adopted chunk/hudson and poor Caleb he wants to be a dad so bad! I need more of these two! It went by too quick!

Human x Shifter romance, virgin MMC & assassin FMC, fated mates x rejected mates, fast burn 🌶️

Thank you Invi for the ARC🥹

I think this was a good conclusion to this duology! I liked how it wrapped up a lot. The beginning really had me on the edge of my seat. The pacing and cadence is still a bit off for me personally but not to the point it detracted from the story! Just something to note if you are sensitive to that. It was a satisfying duology and i definitely recommend if you like a shifter romance!

I absolutely devoured this book. I thought I loved the first book. I was not prepared to read this book. This book shattered me and put me back together. I genuinely cannot stop thinking about these main characters.

This book is somehow all of what the first book was, and then better.

This is the duet of the year, and an absolute MUST READ!
