The tower was never meant to keep her safe. It was meant to keep her hidden.
Locked in a lonely tower where the jungle meets the sea, Liora has spent her entire life under the protection of a watchful AI guardian. She has never left the tower. Never met another person.
Until a massive Vultor warrior appears at her door.
Baylin came south to investigate an almost forgotten structure mentioned in an old colony record. He never expected to find a beautiful female living inside.
Curious, brave, and far too trusting, Liora is fascinated by the dangerous warrior who has suddenly entered her carefully controlled world.
But when Baylin discovers she carries a powerful secret, he must decide if he can break the tower’s hold before the world discovers she exists.
Because the moment Liora steps outside the walls… everything will change.
A spicy standalone sci-fi fairytale retelling featuring an isolated heroine, a protective alien wolf shifter, and a tower that was never meant to be opened.
Restless Vultor warrior Baylin is up and he's on a mission to find a distant tower and the mysteries it holds. As it turns out the mystery is a sweet human woman who's curious and brilliant and who's never set foot outside her tower. A woman who calls to Baylin in ways he never expected.
Liora is caught in a cage she can't see. The tower is a prison, the AI threaded through it controls every aspect of her life. She longs to see the outside world and experience life, but she's been told it's too dangerous and she's safest within the tower walls. Baylin's arrival at her tower cracks open her understanding of everything she's ever believed. His very presence has her asking questions and pushing the boundaries the AI has set for her.
Together, they begin to unravel why she's been confined to the tower and how to dismantle the walls of her prison. Which is harder than it seems because the tower is impregnable and almost indestructible and the AI keeping the doors locked is sunk into every part of the building.
A mysterious structure, an AI that is determined to carry out what it's been programmed to do, a warrior who was looking for a purpose, and a gifted woman who finds joy in everything she encounters. *thumbs up*
Alien Tower book eight of the Wolf Tales is another alien shifter romance in a series that has always delivered a wonderful story. At the edge of a forest just before the sea stands a tower where there should be none, and at last Baylin the Vultor has found it. What it holds he doesn’t know yet but the pull towards it has led him here after finding mention of it in old colony records. Inside that tower lives Liora whose entire life has been spent there sheltered and under the watchful protection of a guardian AI. Baylin arrives and with all entrances locked solid he has to climb, the only way he can find to enter is the balcony higher up and where he just saw a human female. What the mystery is surrounding Liora and the tower kept me glued to the pages well into the night as I needed answers as much as Baylin and Liora. Loved this captivatingly written story as I watched the connection growing between them and Baylin realizing Liora was his mate after her touch while cleaning a wound on his arm stirs his beast. He went seeking answers but what he finds instead turns into so much more because Liora is special very special indeed.

Rapunzel will never be the same in my mind. The retelling was fun to read. I loved how my perception of Ari changed over the span of the story. I loved learning more about Baylin. We meet him in Alien Awakening with Rykan and Ember's story. I loved the secrets revealed. And there were many. The twists were unexpected but needed. Pip was a wonderful addition to the tale. Baylin has his work cut out for him. Not only having to find a mystery but find answers to impossible questions. We learn more about his past. About his integrity and his beast declaration of what he eventually also came to believe about Liora. I really like Liora. I also like the role Baylin played in allowing her to see that she was not living but existing in accordance to what Ari had deemed safe. When you do not know any different you would not know what was normal. I smiled when she turned most everything into an experiment . POV of each. This can be read as a standalone. The worldbuilding was excellent. Steam to the eventual romance. There was some repetition but to me it emphasized the emotion or action rather than filling words on a page. The best HEA for them and Pip. I love fairytales with happy endings. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review
This had Rapunzel vibes without the long hair. Beautiful young woman living in a tower ever knowing that it was made as a comfortable prison to keep her safe. She is Genetically special her blood holds the key to healing passed down in the females of her family for generations. she has no idea how special she is until Baylin shows up to change her world forever. At the end of the last. Book Baylin left the city in search of what lay in the remote jungle getting twice yearly deliveries for over 20years. He never expected what he discovered a tower a very Sentient AI and a woman so lovely his heart hurt just to be in her presence. As they uncover why she's been locked away and how know that she is fully grown and wants to !save they must content with the knowledge that their was good reason and that the AI in chafe of her care will go to extreme or true to keep her safe. Both these lost souls find a home in one another true acceptance and a love so strong that nothing can separate them. This is one of my favorites thus far in the series and I hole their are more to come. I highly recommend! 💖🌟🌟🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟💖🔥🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥💖🔥🌟💖🌟💖🔥🌟💖
No long hair to let down, but a tower prison all the same.
“I’ve been safe my whole life, Baylin. And I’m starting to realize that safety might be the most dangerous thing of all.”
Beautifully uplifting story about freedom from your chains and finding the perfect someone who completes you. Liora has been locked away due to a special talent when she is discovered by Baylis, a Vultor on a mission. But there are mysteries to uncover (so enthralling that this book kept me up way past my bedtime)and pain in both their pasts that must be overcome. Ah, the world building is superb as always and you come to care for the characters so deeply. Simply just a wonderful story and a fine addition to this Fairytale-based series.

I was so excited to read this story after the conclusion of the last book. Parts that leave you pounding your head against a wall and realising why technology isn't always the best. This is a traumatic, emotional, empowering and slow burn love story.
The AI is a hard pillow to swallow throughout most of this book. Though having said that my heart actually broke for it in the end. Despite it not having emotions, it does jump off the page and hits you right in the chest.
The relationship between Liora and Baylin is intense, alluring and addictive. This was a truly remarkable story. It hit all emotional markers that keep us captivated.
The Alien Wolf Tales have certainly been an entertaining series,.

This is a fun sci-fi shifter retelling of Rapunzel. It’s part of the Alien Wolf Tales series of interconnected fairytale-retelling standalones.
Alien shifter MMC warrior Baylin has been sent on a mission to discover where mysterious shipments are being dropped. When he reaches the destination, he discovers FMC Liora, who has been trapped in a tower her entire life, living the past nine years alone with only an overprotective AI for companionship.
I enjoyed this book. The FMC was inexperienced but smart and very eager to learn. The MMC was dedicated and loyal from the start. There was also some interesting social commentary, with the AI being both helpful and ultimately the villain.
Another great addition to the series. I look forward to more fairytale retellings on Cresca.
Spice: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Writing: 4/5 My Enjoyment: 4/5
This is an absolutely fantastic book! It continues the series Alien Wolf Tales and is based on Rapunzel. Baylin is a Vultor sent to find a tower that was mentioned in a journal belonging to his friend's wife. Now he's deep in the jungle, discovers the tower, and finds it is not empty. Liora has lived in it all her life and has never been let outside. I love the sweetness of Liora. She is such a gentle, beautiful woman. And you know Baylin falls for her like a ton of bricks. I enjoyed the twist in the storyline of why she is locked in the tower and who is holding her there. This is an excellent book that has a perfect happy ending! (Of course!)

This was another engaging addition to the series and this one gets us the girl locked in the tower ;) Liora is under the protection of an AI guardian in a tower that really never was meant to be opened. Vultor warrior, Baylin, was curious about an old structure that's pretty much been forgotten. Imagine his surprise when he spies a human female inside and he has to climb in to reach her... What follows is an engaging mystery about why Liora was locked there in the first place, a strong connection, and characters that are full of curiosity. Expect to get caught up in the danger, intrigue and romance as these two work their way to a wonderful HEA. Good fun!
I've said many times there is just something magical about these Alien Wolf Tales books and this one just proves my point. Liora is extremely intelligent but also extremely innocent. Baylin has been wounded by betrayal in his pack and the realization that he could not save or protect his pack from the rot within. When goes on a mission for Ember and Rykan he discovers Liora in a tower. I adored this nod to Rapunzel. The characters are so well written and defined. The story is exactly what I expect from Honey Phillips, exciting and incredibly well written. Her world building is absolutely flawless. I throughly enjoyed this book.
I have enjoyed all of the Alien Wolf series and liked this one the most. Their interactions with the AI keeping her in the tower to protect her and the reason why. It was scary at times when the AI used it's directive to keep them locked up, but also a relief when they convinced him to let go so she could experience a life outside the tower. Imagine being locked up in a tower for over 21 years not knowing what the outside world had to offer. Honey, you nailed it as she explored a whole new world and life outside. Together they looked at the world through new eyes as they got their HEA.
-A creative sci-fi fairytale retelling with a strong, isolated heroine and a fiercely protective alien wolf shifter. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts about the story.
Liora and Baylin share a compelling connection that balances tenderness with danger, and intrigue. The mysterious tower and unfolding secrets keep the story engaging, with just the right touch of spice and adventure. Liora’s inquisitiveness and thirst for knowledge is understandable and sweet. This is another winner from Honey Phillips!
Alien Tower by Honey Phillips is a Rapunzel retelling with a scifi romance twist. Liora has been kept in a tower for 21 years to keep her safe from those who might want to exploit her blood's healing power. Her only human companion died years ago, leaving her alone except for an overbearing AI. Then Voltor Baylin arrives and turns her world upside down, making her realize there's a whole world out there to explore. Convincing the AI to set her free is not easy, though.

Okay I was hesitant about this one and I don't even know why because every single one of the series has been like one of the best books I've ever read honey Phillips is so incredibly talented so diverse when she writes these particular stories and this one was no exception our lead character was such a scarred inside and outside wolf Man and felt so much that he was not deserving of happiness and she was so sheltered but also lost to herself this story was great all of it I would highly highly recommend
A creative and charming spin on the classic Rapunzel story
Baylin is the typical protective, brooding Vultor MMC. Liora is endlessly curious, brave, and perhaps a bit too trusting for her own good—because of her trusting nature, he is cautious about not taking advantage of her innocence and social inexperience. It was incredibly sweet the way that Baylin patiently watched Liora experience the world for the first time. His loyalty and devotion to her are swoonworthy. Their story is full of plenty of heat but without losing any emotional heart.
This was a really enjoyable Rapunzel Retelling that can be enjoyed as I standalone story (I haven't read Alien Awakening yet), although reading more of the series adds more background for characters who are mentioned from previous books but aren't main characters here. Baylin & Liora make a great couple in this story and it's interesting to see how they develop their bond despite the initial interference of the towers protective AI "ARIS". The AI made an interesting character as well that felt complex with seemingly human emotions. Liora also had an animal companion named Pip that was entertaining as well. I look forward to reading many more by this author.
Steam Rating: Explicit and Plentiful 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Baylin found something he never thought he would find - his mate. Liora was kept in a tower, protected by an AI, for her entire 21 years, mostly alone. When Baylin climbed up into her balcony, she was excited and curious. As they learn more about each, their feelings for each other grow into something beautiful. When Liora leaves her tower and AI, she is sad but also eager to live in the real world rather than watching or learning. Their adventure together begins, their love for each other is strong, and their happiness is everything!
Spicy, male female, 3rd person dual point of view, paranormal romance. This was so much better than a Rapunzel retelling - it was a Tangled retelling! LOVED IT. This is the 8th book in the Alien Wolf Tales series. You could read it without reading the others (it's a great story in and of iteself), but I recommend reading them in order to better know the characters/over-arching plot. Fantastic perfect length read.
Fascinating story! Liora is a strong, though not socially accomplished, young woman. She’s incredible! I admire her capabilities, and her enthusiasm at discovering new things gives me a thrill. Baylin is wonderful! He introduces Liora to his ‘other’ side, handles situations tactfully using logical reasoning when needed. He’s a bit rough, but that’s part of his attraction. Their’s is quite an intriguing story, Not to be missed!
Can someone explain to me why I keep finding reads that make me sob over Artificial Intelligence in books? Like AI in real life infuriates me but slap it in a romance or syfy novel and here come the water works! But damn if Honey Phillips doesn't punch me in the face and have me thanking her for it every time. This series is wonderful and makes me happy, and in our world today, can we ask for anything more than that? No. No we can't.
He came looking for answers… and found her instead. Now tell me… are we here for the mystery or the yearning?
The moment I finished Alien Awakening, I knew I had to start Alien Towers right away… and it did not disappoint. Honey Phillips creates a world that feels both mysterious and comforting, with a story that blends intrigue, danger, and romance that is so addictive.
Liora and Baylin’s connection is equal parts tender and intense, and the secrets of the tower kept me turning pages late into the night. Baylin’s tragic past and overwhelming survivor’s guilt added another layer, while Liora’s loneliness and touch-starved existence make every moment between them feel even more powerful. I loved the extra layer of intrigue as the secrets slowly unraveled, and Liora’s curiosity and hunger for knowledge felt both unique and heartwarming. And yes… I may have developed a little separation anxiety from the AI tower system.
If you love curious heroines, protective alien heroes, and a touch of “girl in the tower” magic, this one is such a satisfying escape.
💫 Favorite Quote: “They loved you… But love doesn’t always lead to right choices. Sometimes the people who care about us the most are the ones who cage us the tightest.”
Liora has been kept in a tower in the jungle her whole life. For her own protection. She seems happy until Vultor warrior Baylor shows. Now she is questioning why she is being held. But one thing is for certain she is very taken with Baylin. And he recognizes her as his mate. Good story. Think Rapunzel.

Wow, there are so many incredible aspects to this story. The way both Baylin and Liora face their challenges and disappointments without bitterness and embrace the opportunities together is beautiful. The supporting characters are fantastic with unexpected layers, especially Pip and Ari!.

What a great retelling of Rapunzel! Liora has been kept safe in a tower in the jungle by an AI who was programmed by her father to keep her safe. Baylin was sent to find out what is in the jungle that supplies have been sent to twice a year for 21 years. It was so well written that it was easy to picture everything in your mind. I loved it! It is definitely a must read!
A unique take on the tale of Rapunzel. Secrets, mysteries, protection and innocence. Liora and Baylin's relationship is one of discovering freedom and exploring the possibilities. Neither expected what happened, nor did they seek it out, but once their connection snapped into place, they were compelled to do anything for each other.
Loved loved loved this read. A take on the fairy tale Rapunzel, our female lead has never known anything but the tower which is controlled by an AI system. Baylin was sent to investigate the tower and finds so much more than he imagined. Great characters, a mystery and lots of smolder and heat fill the pages.
Alien Tower is a fantastic fairytale retelling of Rapunzel. It is so well done. I love the world and how well it mirrors Rapunzel. The characters are wonderful, strong and intelligent. I think this book is my favourite one in the series. This is a fun and entertaining romance. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it.
I have read many, many of Ms. Phillips books and they get better each time I read them. This take on Rapunzel was so interesting and well thought out. The writing and the main characters were very interesting and well fleshed out. I’m on to find another in this series.
Live the retelling of fairytales! The intensity and complexity of the characters and their own lives is very important to the storytelling. Danger, suspense and romance are intricately connected in this book. The connection between Liora and Baylin is everything.
