Noah and Tabby’s love story wasn’t typical … or particularly romantic. After all, he picked her up at a bar – or maybe she picked him up. Either way, he saw her naked before he even knew her name.
Tabby came to him broken, but determined. And Noah knew how to fix her. It was a meeting of the bodies. A retraining of the mind. A connection that soon infected the heart.
But after two years, Noah’s old tricks aren’t working, and Tabby is shutting down again. This time, he refuses to play games. He wants all of her, or nothing at all.
Not Without You returns to the eclectic neighborhood where Noah and Tabby met, and where they are now discovering that life doesn’t get easier after you leave campus. What began as a sweet story of love and redemption, turns into something dark, intense … and, at times, disturbing. And if they’re not careful, it will destroy them both.

Oh, how I missed Tabby and Noah! It was so great to spend time with them again. Not Without You picks up a few years after Before You Go left off. Noah and Tabby are still trying to find their way after college. Noah is trying his best to make Tabby happy and make sure she has everything that she needs, but Noah feels her starting to slip away and isn’t sure how to reach her….
Not Without You was a quick and easy read for me. It had angst, romance, drama and steam. It was everything that I look for in a Clare James novel. Not Without You is a great book about finding ones self, letting go of past guilt and not being afraid to be who you really are. Tabby and Noah were really easy to connect with. They are by no means perfect, which makes them feel real. I really liked how the author showed that just because you love someone, that doesn’t mean that things will be easy. Relationships are hard and you have to work at them. Overall, I found this to a really enjoyable read and can’t wait to see where Clare James will take us next.

I did not like this book. It actually made me dislike these characters. Noah was still a little hesitant with taking things rough in their sex life because of her assault. But Tabby wanted it, so he did it. I just felt that is Tabby would have just sat him down and really spoke to him about this, that he would have started to understand and not feel so guilty. Instead she would get pissed and not talk to him for days, or leave him for almost a month and take a road trip with another dude (who she knows Noah has an issue with because she shares too much with him in group) to try and take back some of what was taken from her form the assault. I dunno....I just felt this book really ruined them for me. Yea Noah had shit to work through, but I really hated the way Tabby was with him. When she went through her panic attacks, he worked with her, took it slow, made her find herself again....and what does Tabby do when Noah starts having trouble...fucking pushes him away...ugh I dunno, I just wish I didn't read this.
Not nearly as good as the first one. And although I enjoyed hearing how their story continued it was more just about the sex and less about the relationship like the first one was. The ending summed things up too quickly and neatly.
I was gifted this book in exchange for a honest review.
This was my first book by Clare James and since this wasn't the first book in this series, this should have been my second. If I hadn't been on a time crunch to get this one done, I would have defiantly read the previously one in the series first, it is even free at the time, of this post. It would have been uber helpful, because this isn't a standalone and it is more like a novella. This isn't the author's fault that I was in a time crunch to read her first book in the series, that she even made free, so no points taken off for that!
This is a very interesting book and makes me want to go back and get the first book so I know why these things happen in this second book. I want to know more about Noah and Tabby, they were so intriguing. Why were people shutting down? Why were some pulling back? It was like a mystery, Scooby and the gang are about to head on over to Amazon to figure this one out, the one-click way!
When I finished book one in this series I wanted more. I wanted more Noah and Tabby. I connected to Tabby in a way I don't think I have ever connected to another character before, and no it's not just because her name was Tabby- even if that is an awesome name.
The ups and downs of Tabby and Noah's relationship kept me holding on for them. They have that once in a lifetime love that is worth fighting for and I cheered for them. In the past Tabby was broken but with Noah's help and some quite interesting techniques used to bring her out of her shell. Trust me read book one and you will see what I am talking about. Anyway... Noah is fiercely protective of her and when he feels he is losing her he is willing to do whatever he had to to get her back.
How far would you go for the one you love? What would you do to keep them safe?
This story- this whole series, has touched my heart and I will forever love these characters. If you are looking for a story that will touch you heart this this story, these characters and this series will do just that.
So imagine my surprise to know that Tabby and Noah had a novella. I was really excited so I did a re-read of their story. Noah is really the one that is going through a lot with this story and I loved that. Because normally I would've been Tabby so it was nice to know that even Noah had things he needed to deal with. It was the last 3 chapters that I didn't care for. They moved so fast and because we don't hear from Tabby in this one we don't know what's going on. But you do know that a month has past and what a fast month it was. I'm not saying they should have had some big pregnancy or wedding storyline at the end but it should have been more than what it was. I can definitely say I would love more from Tabby and Noah. I'm actually begging. They deserve all the happiness in the world. So I'm hoping that Ms. James reads our reviews and gives us just one more story for this couple. To end it with this one is just not really fair to them.
I received this for an honest review.. This was a very enjoyable read. I read this without reading the first one and this really should be read with the first book. But other than that I really enjoyed this part of the story. This book had all the makings of a great book it had romance, drama, and lots and lots of steam!!! This was a quick read and a very enjoyable one. I will now be going back to read the first one!
I gave this book such a low rating because I was expecting so much more from it. I loved Before you Go, and I was disappointed with this book's length first of all, and also its storyline. I wanted it to be better and longer.
I loved all 3 books in this series. They really grab you from the very beginning and never let go. I think I cursed, laughed and cried in all 3 books. I can't wait to read more by this author.
I'm not sure this book was completely necessary. I guess I expected some heartfelt drama but instead I felt entirely meh about the whole thing. It felt more like a filler book than a conclusion.
