Very important book that maps where the urban planning profession needs to go in this complex age of high housing need, the necessity to build very high volumes of dwellings, and the types of places we are left with. It is a long-overdue cry for a return to traditional, ornamental styles of architecture and the tossing away of the Modernist deceptions of minimalism and the "of-our-time" fiction that only foists ugliness and placelessness on our cities. Highly recommended.
