EXCERPT
" I’m in a relationship. I made that clear to you.”
He pulled me close and put his arms around me. The smell and feel of him was intoxicating. I wanted to pull away but my body wouldn't listen to my brain.
“The only thing that is clear to me is that we belong together and we will be together.”
Having said those words he bent down and kissed me. I saw it coming and I wasn't planning on kissing him back, but when those soft lips touched mine I was lost. It was an amazing kiss, the best one I had ever had, even better than the one he gave me the other day. I couldn't stop myself from kissing him back. He was the one who pulled away from me.
“See what I mean. We belong together. Stop fighting your feelings”
I barely heard him. I sat there in a daze still feeling those warm lips on me. It took a moment for my brain to work properly again, and then I was very upset with myself. Way to get him to leave you alone. It wasn't really all my fault though his damn lips where like candy. I jumped up from the bench, gathered my things and started backing away.
“Look just leave me the hell alone okay.”
He stood up and started walking toward me. I kept backing away until he stopped.
“Let me drive you home and we’ll talk.”
“We have nothing to talk about. I barley know you. All I really know is that you’re a very, very, very good kisser. I still have a boyfriend and I’m still committed to him so what you want to happen, can’t happen.”
I turned and started walking away but his next words stopped me.
“I’m going to do whatever it takes to have you.”

This is an interesting book of pursing someone for a date. I'm use to reading dark and messed up books so David Braxton's pursuit of Meghan was intriguing to me. I was slightly put off because I was expecting a short romance where the (h) plays hard to get sort to speak but David comes across as a which is evident during David & Meghan's first sexual encounter, so any readers with triggers this is your warning.

Pursuit is the first book I've read by Jordan Wild. There were a couple of errors I noticed, nothing too big: a mix up in character name & a grammatical mishap but other than that the book is solid. I can't wait to read book 2, Divert to find out who the heck David is, and what he does for a living. This Alpha male commands power and I want to know everything about him. Pursuit gets 3.5 pursuit worthy stars.
