Catching my boyfriend cheating should have broken me. Instead, it gave me an idea.
Ryan Hale thought he could humiliate me and walk away without consequences. He thought I’d cry, beg, and quietly disappear from his life. He underestimated how far I’m willing to go for revenge.
Because if Ryan wants to betray me… I’ll betray him back.
With the one man he respects more than anyone, his Uncle.
The man who raised him. The man who warned him not to hurt me. The man who looks at me like he already knows exactly what I want.
It started as revenge, a simple way to make Ryan feel the same humiliation he gave me. But the deeper I fall into this dangerous game, the harder it becomes to pretend that’s all it is.
Because his uncle isn’t just forbidden, he just might be the better man.
✅ Taboo "Age-Gap" Romance (Ex’s Uncle x His Nephew’s much smarter ex) ✅ One trash-tier cheating boyfriend ✅ Older MMC who will treat you like the literal queen of his entire estate ✅ FMC will never beg to get back with her cheating ex. We don’t recycle garbage here vibes ✅ An annoying ex-boyfriend (plays the victim, has the audacity to breathe and... probably cries when he doesn’t get his way)
---------- 🖤 Honestly, Uncle Adrian is the kind of man I’m ready to manifest into my living room the second I open a taboo romance. Like, can he just appear? Please, I’m waiting. For the longest time, he's been out here playing the ultimate gentleman. Being nothing but respectful to his nephew’s girlfriend, Lila.
🖤 He is the king of boundaries, haha! But then he starts dropping those "you deserve so much better" comments. That’s where he totally gets me. The slow-burn tension in this book is honestly so intense.
🌶️ And the spice? Chef’s kiss. If you’re the type of reader looking for an MMC who masters the art of filthy dirty talk but still treats his girl like a queen, you need this book in your life yesterday. The tension is so thick you’d need a chainsaw to get through it. Hmmm... I honestly wish their scenes were longer 😚😚
-------------------------- NOTE: This is my personal opinion about the book. My goal is to share my experience, not to change anyone's perspective. Thank you to Heather Black for giving me the opportunity to read this early.
Thank you to the author for the Advanced Reader Copy of Pretty Little Revenge.
This was a great little palette cleanser to read in between some bigger reads. Pretty Little Revenge is a spicy-revenge plot driven Novella.
Lila, our FMC, catches her boyfriend, Ryan, of 3 years cheating on her with one of his girl "friends" and decides the best way to handle it is to revenge-bang her ex-boyfriend's Uncle! 😳🤯🙈🥵🔥
Now, while the spice is spicy, and Uncle Adrian gives off "UILF" vibes, the plot, aka the Revenge, fell a little flat for me. When Ryan finally catches them in the act of cowgirling on the couch, it should be this explosive in your face, suck it moment, but instead, he gets a little pissed and then walks out. While this book is more spice than plot, just one epic scene of suck it Ryan would have given this Novella one extra star.
Also, my absolute least favourite trope was right at the end of the book, and so, for me personally, I wasn't a fan of the ending.
Overall, would I read this again? No. However, I think that is a great short spicy read to pick up when you need a break from heavy driven plot, and just want to switch off and read about a hot Uncle banging his nephew's ex-girlfriend! 🔥🫶

The spice was definitely there and in that way it delivered however, I really wanted to like this one more than I did.
The beginning felt pretty repetitive and Chapter 9 in particular came across as redundant. Adrian takes Lila home and drops her off at her door. Then while in the shower she receives a text from him asking her to "text me when you're inside" and she replies "I'm home". It didn't make sense. He literally dropped her off at her apartment...
The ending for me was personally a cringy moment. Overall, this one had some strong elements but it didn’t quite come together for me.

I received an Arc Copy of the book by Heather Black thank you so much.
It is a short novella age gap/taboo romance. May be a short fun read but it is spicy and addictive.
The story follows our fmc who catches her boyfriend cheating. She then decides to take revenge with his uncle. Can’t lie the revenge was great ! Loved the story between the fmc and mmc and how it all turned out.
If you’re into spicy fast paced reads I definitely recommend this book.
Goodreads doesn’t allow half starts I rated this 3.75 ⭐ with 3.5 🌶️
I received an ARC for this book from the author. I thought this book was short and quick. It was a short novella of a woman finding her boyfriend cheating on her and deciding to take revenge. Nothing more and nothing left. Just my personal preference, but the spice was a way too much. I think I’ve confirmed with myself that dark spicy romances are not really my jam. Still a decent book, I would recommend it to anyone who likes dark romances!
Novellas like this are perfect for a little palate cleanser or a quick, easy read when I don't have the mental capacity for much else. They're pretty much all spice, no plot, and that's usually fine with me, especially if the spice is decently written.
While the whole My-Ex's-Insert-Family-Member-Here Trope usually gives me the ick, Black successfully made Ryan so unbelievably unlikeable that it didn't bother me in the slightest. What did bother me was the at the end, but thankfully, it didn't happen until the last page.
Truly, my biggest hang-ups from this came from the repetitiveness. The dialogue was often chunky and lumped together in a way that made things a bit confusing at times. And during our first chapter between Lili and Adrian, the same questions and statements felt like they were asked or said over and over with slightly different wording each time. Had these not been issues, it would have easily gotten another star from me.
A Bold, Addictive, and Deliciously Scandalous Read
This book is the kind of story you start “just to read a chapter”… and suddenly realize it’s 2 a.m. and you’re still turning pages. The premise alone is irresistible, but the execution is what truly makes it shine.
From the very first scene, the author pulls you into the raw emotional aftermath of betrayal. The heroine’s reaction to catching her boyfriend cheating is refreshingly unexpected—rather than falling apart, she takes control of the situation in the most daring way possible. Her plan for revenge is bold, risky, and impossible not to root for.
What makes the story especially compelling is the dynamic between her and Ryan’s uncle. Their chemistry is intense, layered, and full of tension. What begins as calculated revenge slowly transforms into something deeper, making every interaction charged with emotion and possibility. The uncle isn’t just a forbidden choice—he’s complex, protective, and quietly powerful, which makes the relationship far more meaningful than the initial premise suggests.
The author balances scandal, emotional depth, and sizzling attraction beautifully. The pacing keeps you hooked, and the characters feel real enough that you can’t help but become invested in their choices—even the messy ones.
If you enjoy romance that’s edgy, emotionally charged, and full of forbidden tension, this book absolutely delivers. It’s dramatic, addictive, and surprisingly heartfelt beneath the revenge plot.
Highly recommended for readers who love bold heroines, complicated relationships, and stories where revenge turns into something much more powerful.
The story follows Lila, who walks in on her boyfriend cheating and decides the best revenge is going to the one person he respects most… his uncle, Adrian.
It’s a super quick read, very spicy, and Adrian completely steals the show. Confident, intense, and just superior in every way.
I do wish there had been a little more backstory between Lila and Adrian to build even more tension, but overall it was a really fun read with some of my favourite tropes—age gap, taboo, and a satisfying dose of revenge.
This book is the perfect "palate cleanser" if you’re looking for a quick read between longer series. I really enjoyed the back-and-forth dynamic as Adrian struggled to hold himself back from Lila. You can truly feel his internal conflict, which adds a great layer to their chemistry. While there is definitely some "spice" to be found here, I personally felt like those scenes could have been fleshed out a bit more. However, if you love the "sleeping with the ex's family member" trope and need a fast-paced story to boost your reading count, this is a great choice.
I absolutely devoured this novella in about 2 hours! I couldn't put it down! The spice level is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. The age gap is never a problem to me because it is very much real life. The revenge is great. The storyline really works. It's not in the novella, but I can really imagine a secret lust from each of them that they kept hidden for years. I highly recommend this book. I for one am now going to read all that I can by Heather Black!
I received an ARC copy of this book. Goodreads don’t allow half stars but I don’t feel like it’s a 3 star but more of a 3.5 ⭐️ with 2.5 🌶️ Fast burn and an ultimate revenge age gap. She catches the boyfriend cheating on her and hooks up with his uncle. I feel like the plot was there just needed more building in my opinion. The spicy scenes were good but very little detail and no buildup. A backstory for the couple could have made this better.

Thank you to the author for letting me receive this as an ARC. If you want a quick spicy read with revenge and a close family member this novella is for you! I would have liked a bit more plot and maybe it was the formatting, but it wasn’t my favorite. This book was spicy though! I wish there was a bit more to revenge and maybe another eff you to Ryan. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending it’s not my favorite trope. Overall into quick spicy reads I would give this a chance.
This is a short novella with tons of spice. We follow the FMC Lila who catches her boyfriend cheating, but she gets the great revenge of sleeping with his uncle. It was fast pace, and hella spicy.
I did reach out to the author about some spelling mistakes, but since then it has been fixed!
For a 'fun' spicy, age gap/taboo short read, this novella is pretty good.
it's fast paced, and yes, it's spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ but the revenge element could have been stronger. Having said that, Lila, the FMC banging her ex's super hot uncle after the ex cheated on her is reasonably good revenge 🤭
The ending? Wasn't a great fan of that....

I was lucky enough to receive an arc copy of this little novella.
what can I say? I'm all for getting revenge on a cheating ex by sleeping with his hot uncle, but for me, the revenge fell a little flat, he walked in, caught them at it, was like wtf and left, thought there could have been more to it. but other than that, I love the spice, and it is a great little quick read. I would read again

Arc reader: HOT HOT HOT!!! This is a short book but damn does it pack a punch. I could feel the redness creeping up my neck while reading the spicy scenes.
Needless to say I really enjoyed the book and always love when a woman is looking for revenge 😈
I received an ARC from the author. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. There were a few spelling mistakes but nothing where it took away from the book.
If you’re looking for something short and smutty look no further! Low angst, a bit of plot, lots of spice.
This quick spicy age gap revenge romance was everything I wanted it to be! Had me smiling at the relationship between the fmc and the mmc and love how it all turned out! Would definitely recommend if you're into age gap or taboo romance!
Great book if you're looking for a super fast, mindless read and love the ex-boyfriends dad/brother/uncle tropes! I feel like some parts of the book jumped from one scene to another in an odd way, but it doesn't really pull you out of the story.
this is novella that has cheating ex's, forbidden age gap and revenge romance all in one....Lila finds out her boyfriend cheats on her so she goes to her ex's uncle Adrian ...this story has lot of spicy with little bit of revenge and main characters falling in love on the journey
This book wasn’t bad but not great, at the start I found that the main characters kept repeating themselves and it was annoying. The spice was good, I liked Lila’s sass and I loved Adrian he is dirty and also really caring.
This was a fun, quick revenge read that hooked me from the very first chapter. Short, spicy, and full of drama. If you like taboo romance, age gap, and messy revenge stories, you’ll probably enjoy this one.
Tropes: age gap, cheating ex’s uncle, taboo, revenge.
This book is great if you want a short and spicy read. I really enjoyed it, the ending wasn’t the best but I’m glad it was at the end and not halfway through the book. Would definitely recommend if you need something short.
I read this as an ARC read. I really enjoyed this book. It is a fast paced Spicy Novella! Inclides plot and spice 🌶. This is a taboo 'Age gap' romance (Ex's Uncle) and the story is a revenge plot which was great!
A good shorter read and a good palate cleanser between darker books!
Revenge is best served in the form of good sex! Definitely a fun age gap taboo romance. Perfect read when I want something quick, entertaining, and spicy! 🌶️🌶️🌶️
