Her books are known for their heartwarming stories; intriguing characters and hilarious real life situations that will make you want to laugh out loud.
Leah currently lives in Colorado with her wonderful husband, her "Blue Bomber" bicycle and a hundred bunny rabbits that roam free in the neighborhood.
I love this authors books. This is a very sweet rom com and it is hilarious. No only does Logan, a firefighter, rescue Noel from a seat belt incident but he has to rescue her from a tree too. Their meet cute was so good. This is an excellent hilarious well written rom com and I loved it. Loved Noel and Logan
Logan’s life is quite the norm until he meets the accident prone Noel because she is accident prone as hell .Only this lady can get stuck in her car . Mortified by far to be in this mess ,she must confess with the hot fireman next door coming to her aid . Cat stuck up a tree? Oh dear she gets in a tangle and in need of saving herself .By who? Of course it is Logan who is her saviour once more and she’s crushed by embarrassment because he’s hot , like really phwoar...
Logan has a level head and is calm in a crisis but this girl next door,Noel has him in a whirl . What’s more he couldn’t contact her to say thanks after she gave him cookies and her email address after her long rescue out of her car. She thought him a star and wanted to show her appreciation so off she popped down to the station. Only a fireman called Tom took down the message only his handwriting was just a scrawl and Logan could not read it at all. Only fate stepped in and he becomes her saviour once more perhaps this time he can’t tell her how he does her adore.
Close they grow but with meddling neighbours and all … Is their ongoing relationship worth it all? They certainly have an attraction but been hurt before . So it’s not quite so simple as you might expect. There’s lingering relationship baggage to manage too. So what do they do? Does she ,he woo? She also has woes at her job where she does slog at her computer screen writing down each and every scene as she’s a scriptwriter for the movies with awkward think they know it all actors of which to contend .
At least if nothing else she’s made a good friend. She’s already cutting herself away from him ,it’s for the best because she’s a mess . He’ll get fed up of having to rescue her ass so she breaks up the relationship before he does see her for who she is at last . Oh this lass she’s so insecure and can’t enjoy herself through worry so she’s in too much of a hurry to see the wood for the trees .No matter what happens in the end .
Logan , though his ex was measured and sure . She hasn’t got an ounce of laughter and fun as Noel who he wants as his hon. Well he’s good at fighting fires but what about the flames of love . One that he can really be sure of. Because he already knows whose love is unconditional. He doesn’t see her accidents as flaws if only she knew . But I’m sure before too long she’s going to…
Brilliant storytelling, mightily compelling and filled with laughter ,leading towards an happy ever after? Read and see . Leah Busboom has done an excellent job of endearing us to these characters and the funny scenes are a dream . Her finger on the pulse of sweet romance too ,has your heart a dance. I’m telling you.
Noel Klaussen sometimes thinks life is out to get her. Case in point, she's outside of her home in her new car that has the latest and best safety options, per her car salesman. He touted the seat belts as one of the best options. Only the seat belt button won't release her. She tried turning the car back on, but that didn't help. Nor can she wiggle out of its clutches. She's reduced to calling 911 to come and release her.
She recently moved to Sherman Oaks from an LA high-rise condo. Having neighbors who know her name is a new experience for her. As is calling 911 to free her from her car.
Fire Lieutenant Logan Pierce is her rescuer. At least he and his crew all had the same difficulties with the seat belt as she did. The next time he meets her, she had gotten stuck in a tree trying to rescue a neighbor's cat. Has he met the woman of his dreams?
She makes her living writing scripts for television rom-coms. Although the odds are incredible, his mother loves rom-coms, and he watches them with her. She'll be thrilled that Noel wrote some of her favorite movies. Suddenly her life seems to be an endless series of inspiration for these scripts!
Logan's last relationship was with Sienna, an actress who's the current bane of Noel's life and did not end well. They were at a charity event when a young boy who was so excited to meet Logan that he accidentally spilled his soda on Sienna's dress, and she went ballistic. That was it for Logan.
Things are going fine for them until he takes her out to dine at an exclusive restaurant. There they're served champagne to celebrate their engagement. But it's not their engagement. The engaged couple had been seated at this table but asked to move to another. Unfortunately, the correction wasn't made in the seating chart. Now Noel wonders if he'll ever ask her to marry him, or is he repulsed at the thought of marrying her?
Talk about awkward! She wouldn't mind being engaged to him while he just seems horrified! Is this the beginning of their end?

What an adorable, sweet romance Leah Busboom has given readers in My Accidental Fireman. The way our MCs keep coming in contact with each other is beyond cute and the romcom vibes are felt throughout this short story. Leah, as always, keeps her stories easy to read, creates moments that make you swoon, and gives us characters that are genuine. This is book 1 in Leah’s Love When You Least Expect It series.
Logan is calm in most situations. Being a firefighter, he’s trained to keep a cool head in heated situations. However, he can’t make his mind calm down when it comes to his accident prone neighbor. He is drawn to her and does want to get to know her more. He finds her beautiful, entertaining, and someone who continuously pulls at his heart.
Noel seems to attract accidents. First her seatbelt won’t undo, so she has to be cut out by the local fire department. When she goes to thank Logan, a fellow firefighter scrawls an illegible note that because Logan can’t read, Noel thinks he wants nothing to do with her. Until another accident forces her to call the department again and Logan shows up. She is definitely attracted to him, but wonders when he will get tired of saving her and possibly walk away.
This story provided a couple of hours of relaxation while soaking up some sun. Leah has created two easy to love characters that just keep growing on you as you read their stories. Noel may be accident prone, but she is smart, hardworking, and able to laugh at herself. Logan is exactly what you expect from a small town firefighter, always happy to help his neighbors, and will never say no to someone in need. Leah includes additional fun by bringing back characters from a previous book and it was great to see them again. I hope to see more of this series soon!
As always, review any author notes before reading.
What to Expect: 🔥Opposites Attract 💙Instalove 🔥Firefighter MMC 💙Author FMC 🔥Meddling Neighbors 💙Closed Door Romance
Noel meets firefighter Logan when she has to call for someone to cut her out of her seat belt. Now, don’t go thinking this is her fault; her car has new-fangled electronic seat belts, and said seat belt is not releasing like it’s supposed to. Logan is able to cut her out of the seat belt (not as simple as it might sound), and after he and his crew leaves, she decides she’s going to thank him with cookies, and give him her email.
But thanks to another firefighter’s terrible handwriting, Logan can’t read the email, and Noel starts making assumptions as to why he hasn’t contacted her. Hoo, have I been there. And it’s not a fun head space.
Thankfully, I think, Noel gets stuck in a tree while trying to get her neighbor’s cat down, who was also in the tree, but definitely not as stuck as the cat would have you believe. That’s when their dating relationship really starts, as Logan explains about not being able to contact her because of firefighter Tom’s illegible scrawl.
There’s a side plot with Noel’s job; she’s a screenwriter, and she’s currently working on a movie with a very uppity and cranky actress who keeps demanding changes in the script. That really ticked me off, because it’s very unprofessional. Writers are the base of movies and television. Without them, you have nothing, and I wish that they’d get the credit they deserve.
This is a sweet romance, full of many food scenes that made my tummy rumble. Note to readers: Do not read while hungry.
I enjoyed this romance a lot, and I identified a lot with Noel and her feelings. Logan is a great partner for her, even though he reverts to being a big dummy sometimes. But don’t we all do that from time to time?
In short, grab this book. It’s sweet, it’s funny, and it was a pleasure to read.
This novella was so adorably sweet and laugh-out-loud funny, I had the best time reading it.
Noel and Logan’s meet-cute happens when, as a firefighter, Logan has to cut Noel out of her seatbelt, which was trapping her in her car. Only a couple of days later, he has to come and rescue her from a tree after she climbed up to save her neighbour’s cat. They finally go out on a date, which goes well, but Noel is haunted by her previous bad dating incidents and is nervous that things will go wrong.
I loved Noel. She was so accident-prone and jittery, but she also knew how to make fun of herself when things happened; she was in no way any kind of diva (unlike Logan’s ex). Logan was so calm and collected, almost unflappable, until he started to overthink his relationship; then he became adorably nervous.
If you are a fan of this author’s work, then you’ll recognise Noel’s writing partner, Marjorie. If you’ve not already read her story, it’s called My Accidental Leading Man. And speaking of Logan’s ex, Sienna, it appears her book is coming next. She did redeem herself towards the end of this one, so hopefully she gets an HEA as well.
🚒 Fireman 🎬 Movie writer 🚒 HEA 🎬 Kisses only 🚒 Meet cutes 🎬 Meddling neighbors
This story was so cute and adorable. I loved the characters. Noel is a script writer for movies and Logan is a firefighter. Their paths cross (several times) when Noel finds herself in need of a Fireman. They first meet when Noel's seatbelt malfunctions and won't open. Logan to the rescue. And he cuts her free. From that moment on Logan can't get Noel out of his head. He regrets not asking for her number, but he gets his second chance when he has to help get Noel out of a tree. They finally start dating but because of Noel's past relationships and being accident prone, she's more worried about what disaster will happen next instead of enjoying herself. Logan who has his fair share of being nervous and careful because of his past relationship still manages to reassure Noel and is the perfect gentleman.
If you love HEA, only kisses and meddling neighbors you should read this novella. If you ever read any book by Leah, you'll see that a character from a previous story (My Accidental Leading Man) will make a cameo. And if you haven't read it, you should. That's a good read as well.
Accidental or fate? This book will keep you smiling to the end This book starts out with such a funny moment to put a smile on your face and it keeps that smile going to the end. Noel’s life is a series of accidents when dating, from spilling food and/or drinks, to axes stuck in the ceiling. With the chaos that is her life, she is ready to give up. Then her electronic seatbelt locks her in her car, refusing to release and only growing tighter. The fire department, with Logan in charge, race to the rescue. Logan is calm until he lets the ‘seatbelt lady’ into his life. When they start dating her chaos and his calm crash together in ways neither person saw coming. She discovers his calm is just what she needs and he discovers a bit of chaotic kindness is just the ticket for him, even though that may mean blowing out all the candles in the restaurant. Such a fun book of laughter, silly situations, kindness, and love when you weren’t looking. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
My Accidental Fireman is such a fun, easy read that I found myself flying through it. One of my favorite things about this book is how short the chapters are—you can finish one in just a few minutes, which makes it perfect for picking up whenever you have a little free time. It also gives you natural stopping points, which I really appreciate. The story follows Noel and Logan, who are an adorable and entertaining couple. Their meet-cute is especially memorable—Noel gets stuck in her car, and Logan comes to the rescue. From there, he ends up helping her out more than once, which adds a sweet and slightly humorous dynamic to their relationship. What really stood out to me is how low-drama the story is. If you're looking for something light, relaxing, and feel-good, this book is a great choice. It’s a cute, wholesome romance with no explicit scenes and no swearing, making it a comfortable and enjoyable read from start to finish. Overall, My Accidental Fireman is perfect if you want a quick, heartwarming story that you can easily dive into anytime
Noel seems to attract the worst luck. She ends up stuck in her car when the seatbelt won't release. Fireman Logan went to her rescue and finally got her released from the stubborn belt. Noel is grateful and dropped off cookies as a thank-you and provided a way to get in touch with her. But the fireman who scribbled the message for Noel had impossible handwriting and Logan had no idea who this was from. In the meantime, Noel felt ignored. However, Fate stepped in again when she trapped herself in a tree trying to rescue a cat who was a far better climber than Noel was. Reconnecting with the fireman who saved her from her seatbelt, she discovers he didn't know how to contact her. She is definitely not anything like his ex and he enjoys her chaotic life that keeps him laughing. Are they willing to take a risk on each other to see how a relationship could turn out? (At least he would get lots of on-the-job practice rescuing his chaotic lady!) Other characters add to the fun of this story line, but these two are enough to get your laughter started!
Love when you least expect it,the new rom com series by Leah Busboom. Noel ends up calling 911 when she gets stuck in her car.A handsome firefighter rescues her. When she gets stuck in a tree while rescueing a cat and the same firefighter comes to her rescue, she is mortified. They start going on a few dates and start to fall for each other.Their past dating history stops them from admitting their feelings, butWith help from meddling neighbours and friends they eventually get to their happily ever after. Enjoyed this rom com with lots of laughter, emotions, friendships, banter, romance and a happily ever after. Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Firstly, I should like to thank Leah Busboom for my ARC of this adorable 5 star book. I truly enjoyed the characters in this book and it was hilarious. I haven't laughed so much reading a book in a long time. The neighbors, the diva actress, the naughty cat and the meddling fire crew made this an outstanding rom-com. I could honestly see myself in many of the situations and thought that it would be just like me to get into some of those situations but we don't have good looking hot firemen where I live...lol. I see that this is the start of a new series and I know if the books to come are half as good as this series opener then we are in for a huge treat. I am sure Leah's fans are raving over this delightful little book and like me waiting patiently for the next. For those who are not yet fans of Leah, read this cute book and I bet you will become one.
A quite nice story. The way the protagonists meet made me wonder if mishaps are a pattern or a fluke. I like both of them; they're good and kindhearted. There was something that made me a bit worried about whether there would be trouble or not. I could feel for the heroine in one situation, but in my opinion, it would happen too soon, and they weren't there yet for her to want something like that; wanting it seemed unreasonable. Allowing the elephant in the room puts a damper on the story. Later in the story, I couldn't tell how comfortable and close they were for her wish to be fulfilled or not. Nevertheless, I liked how it ended, kind of in a full circle.
P.S. I wouldn't mind a friend like him, who could fix my dishwasher.

This was great! Oh my gosh. Not sure if this is considered a meet cute or a meet crisis! Noel has to be rescued not once, but twice by the hunky fireman- embarrassing! But hunky Logan doesn’t seem to mind as he can’t get the beautiful lady out of his head. When Noel’s bad luck seems to run out she’s worried the other shoe will drop. Cue the evil ex girlfriend! But even the villain had her own redemption arc. An arc so good I can’t wait to read her story!!!!
It was a super sweet hallmark like romance. There was no suspense or stress. Just a feel good rom com with meddling neighbors and a sneaky cat. Definitely recommend.

What an amusing read, Noel is very accident prone, she's bought a new car and gets stuck with the whizzy seatbelt, the only way out is to call the fire brigade to get her free, Logan is the firefighter in charge, he cuts her out of her belt and wishes that he'd got her phone number, and Noel wishes she'd given it to him, but her helpful elderly neighbour suggests taking cookies to the firestation! Eventually they manage to go on a date, what will happen this time? Noel has had several unusual events when on dates, all good fodder for her script writing romcoms! Book 1 of the Love When You Least Expect It series. And a wonderful start it is! Look forward to more from this world.
'A laugh-out-loud, swoony, kisses-only romantic comedy about falling for the one person who turns your carefully ordered life completely upside down.'
The characters were very appealing and likeable and quirky and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Hilarious from the very first page and that cat.... very mischievous. Add an elderly caring neighbor to mix, a matchmaking setup is on the move. I enjoyed Noel and Logan's story. Heartwarming to know she got her own happy ending after meeting her in My Accidental Leading Man. Her fear of dating disasters that characterized her previous dates sure made her wary of letting herself feel so much for Logan, but he was up to the task. Reassuring her and being her support. A beautiful read. At the beginning, I was a little disgruntled with Sienna and her antics but now I am looking forward to her story.
As a fan of My Accidental Leading Man, I jumped at this spin-off without hesitation — and Leah Busboom delivered everything I was hoping for and then some.
Noel and Logan are an absolute delight together. The banter crackles, the tension builds perfectly, and the comedy had me grinning throughout. Busboom has a gift for balancing sweet romance with delightful chaos, and this book is a masterclass in that. The foodie element was an unexpected bonus — honestly, some of those descriptions had me a little envious.
A warm, swoony, laugh-out-loud read that filled some time beautifully!

This really was a sweet romantic comedy. The multiple stereotypes played out in funny ways, and it was easy to keep reading until the end. It was on the shorter end for books I typically read, and moved quickly. Not a bad thing, just not my normal speed. That being said, I enjoyed this book and would continue to read the series. It was refreshing to have 2 main characters that were upbeat, kind and committed. Would love to see a book from Bobby's POV.

This was the absolute sweetest book! Noel and Logan were the best couple. Their meet-cute and then second meeting had me laughing so hard! Noelle was just the sweetest, accident prone, wonderful person! She made me laugh and laughed at herself. Then their is Logan! This man stole my heart from their meet-cute on! He was so encouraging and accepting of Noel. Wanted to headsmack him a couple times but he pulled it out in the end! He's the kinda guy you hope your daughter finds! This book was just fantastic!
Enjoyed this quirky couple in My Accidental Fireman.
Logan, the Firefighter, is ready to move on from his last bad relationship. Noel, the screenwriter, is tired of her disaster prone dating life, or, well, life in general. Guess how these two meet?
Logan and Noel are awkward and work anyway. Logan is tidy and overthinking. Noel is chaotic and overshares. They love eachothers differences and that's beautiful. Delightful! Thankful for this opportunity!.

The new romantic comedy series called Love When You Least Expect It. This "kisses-only" story features a great dynamic between Noel, a disaster-prone heroine, and Logan, a calm firefighter who rescues her from various mortifying situations. While it is a spin-off of My Accidental Leading Man, it works perfectly as a stand-alone. The chemistry and humor make it well worth the read for fans of firefighter heroes. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was such a sweet romantic comedy with lovable, swoon-worthy characters. It was so fitting that Logan was a firefighter, who had to rescue Noel. The book was full of humorous situations that made me laugh and fall in love with the characters. It was an easy to read story that I couldn’t put down. I loved the ending. I think it was fate that brought this firefighter into Noel’s life. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This was such a lighthearted fun read. Leah is great at creating zany scenarios and making them work in the story. From the meet cute(s) to all of Noel’s catastrophes I was laughing and enjoying this book. This instant attraction quickly became something real and genuine as these two spent time together and began building their foundation.

Screenwriter Noel is disaster prone and firefighter Logan rescues her several times in this book. She worries that all the crazy things that happen to her will turn him off when they start dating. It doesn’t help that the diva actress she works with is his ex. There were several laugh out loud moments in this sweet romantic comedy.
A sweet and funny rom-com with a handsome firefighter and a prone to clumsiness kirky girl. Nosy neighbors, charming firefighter partners and a wandering cat add to this lovely story. Logan and Noel are imperfectly perfect together.

I found Logan and Noel's story very funny. Noel has to be the most unlucky girl. I would have freaked out to be stuck in my car. It was a great story that kept me reading and not wanting to put it down. It was a great story and I hope that there will be a story for Sierra.

Can be read as a standalone but some of the characters overlap with other books. It's a good thing he's a firefighter. He might be able to keep everyone safe inspite of her high risk reputation. Matchmaking neighbors and a waiters worst nightmare is going to keep things interesting.

This is book 1 of Love When You Least Expect. I loved their first meeting; she is stuck in her car because the seatbelts won't let her go and he is one of the firemen come to rescue her. Their love story is sweet and brought a smile to my face. It is romantic with a happy ending for both.;.

One hot fireman One walking disaster One unexpected love story Coming to the rescue of Noel Klaussen, Fire Lieutenant Logan Pierce is smitten when he rescues her from her car. And the feeling is mutual with Noel and so begins the two step to love for this couple.
Lovely story filled with laughter, angst and a good dollop of romance.
