Takes itself waaaay too seriously. Lots of reptition like it means something, the tone is too formal, the sentences are clipped. The plot was good, the characters are done well, good setup for the next book. Will read the next one.

Almost there...

Liked the world and the idea a lot. I gave the book 2 stars because it really felt like I was reading one of those YouTube stories. Like the story is there but it just doesn't seem to flow and sound quiet right. 😕

another heaping helping of AI slop

Yet another AI ‘novel’, manufactured from whichever LLM it is that writes everything as melodramatic bombastic one liners.

Seriously, Amazon’s enshitification and generally pathetically stupid capitalist greed is destroying literature.

I liked it and it kept me reading

I kinda get what the other reviewer said about the spicy scenes’s POV swapping but it wasn’t bad. I do feel that there is room to grow with the writing style but I like the straight forward parts like time skipping/fast travel that eliminate filler and gets the plot moving. While I’m not a fan of tons of world building or lore drops, especially in a starting volume, I would say there is probably too little world building.
I did enjoy this book though and I intend to read the next one. Oh and I don’t think I found any blatant spelling or grammar mistakes that I find in a lot of other novels in this genre. Most of the time those pop out to me (doesn’t stop me from reading) but I just realized it didn’t happen to me for this novel. Nice editing.

While the plot was theoretically okay, if way too long winded, the massive harem and soft porn elements threw me off. Not to mention the use of the term geometry..

Criticism and comments

The author or more likely the ai that wrote this book doesn't understand the meaning of words..

"The bloodline is gone from our blood." Make this make sense!

"The geometry didn't need light." What a truly profound statement!

"the geometry confirmed it."

"the geometry was tracking every signature around me."

Why is one signature refered to as they and not it? Stupid gender crap!

"the geometry told me there was nobody awake on the main street."

"Barefoot in too-large boots," reads like an oxymoron..

"You have Earth idioms" she never asked where he is from..

Everyone on this world seems to be a medium, knowing facts they can't know..

The author made the noble woman quite a slag. In a world without contraception this would not fly. Especially sex with your own subordinate soldiers..

"The geometry never forgot."

"That was three gorren," so. A single entity is a they/them but 3 creatures are singular.. ?

Good story. Some inconsistencies.

Characters, plot, and worried building are good. Some plot and logical inconsistencies. For example, what is Maren's relationship to the former Lords of the house? The previous lord is referred to as her great uncle who inherited the house from the founding lord of the house. No other family are mentioned.
Also, two love interests are shown at one point to just know that the MC comes from another world, despite it never being addressed. One of those same love interests explicitly only had a light travel bag with her when she was left at the estate, but she somehow had enough documents from her organization with her to research a paper trail that indicated corruption.

Liked the beginning of this book. The world building was pretty good. And characters also okay. But I think the author might have some issues. Like he has to be a little bigger than normal and have a large penis. At least bigger than any the women have ever had before. And he can make women orgasim multiple times. While controlling his own. lol. Ya I think he’s over compensating. Don’t really care about the sex scenes because it’s just rince and repeat. Insert different name here. Don’t know about reading next book

Fantastic start to a new series.

First of all, fantastic story and great characters, the POV changes were some of the smoothest I've seen and I really enjoyed the female POV in the spice, I feel its helps convey emotions way better considering my only complaint of this book is it's length. This appears to he the first book of a new authors so the length is understandable on a first release. I will be back for more.

A lot of repetition

Overall, it was a decent quick read, but every time someone looks at him, something changes in their gaze, or there is always a "ghost of a smile" and some things were left out like the Mc telling his super secret to his love interests. It was just stated later in the book that they knew. Stop fixating on those things add some more world building and you have a pretty good book.

The prose was very choppy, in that sort of mannered "I'm too cool to write full sentences" kind of way. I found it quite tiring to read. And what a coincidence that a guy who stacked shelves turned out to be the perfect feudal lord, warrior, mage, and of course irresistibly charismatic hunk. Talk about hiding your light under a bushel! Must have been biding his time. The two things combined were enough for me to give up.

solid read for a LLM

A few errors in the story, should be meters and not feet… if your in a castle and your can sense 75 feet out.. that’s not across a courtyard that is big enough for 40 troops to drill in, past the walls and to the town outside.
The constant. Short point. Sentences. Are annoying! lol. LLMs for ya.
But
The plot and base storyline are solid and fun to read about.

I really fun story with lots of potential!

I had a lot more fun reading this than I thought I would, the multiple POV’s, the tasteful harem, and fast growth points to this hopefully having plenty of room to grow! I’m also interested in learning more about the political system and if there is a king of these lands or just a noble class.

amazing!!!

Best story line and main character I have read in 50 years. Too much sex detail, that’s opinion, as sex defines the narrative-the main character is a stud. What I liked most was how easy it was to be immersed. I’m on to book 2!!!

enjoyed the book

Not your typical harem story it had good character build, and I like the pace of it instead of just jumping into all the nasty. This had a great story and great characters that you can give behind. Look forward to the second book.

Not bad…

I enjoyed the story and it kept moving at a good pace. The MC is likable and not a pushover which I really like. I’ll pick up the next one in the series.

Novel magic

A unique take on magic that is refreshing if one has read multiple examples of these fantasy stories. Well written and organized.
