Rate this book
She wants to go home.
He wants to keep her.

Rhea was never supposed to cross into the realm of vampires. One moment, she was camping with her friends, the next, she's in another world. Now trapped in the castle of a broody, cold-hearted vampire, she only has one thing in Find a way out.

Ace has been suffering for centuries, bound to his castle. When a human trespasses into his domain, everything changes. Does he want to keep her or get rid of her? Even he doesn't know. And for Rhea, breaking the curse might set them both free. Or bind her to him forever.

Cursed for Eternity is a dark gothic romantasy inspired by InuYasha and Beauty and the Beast.

This was an arc read, I was so excited to be apart of that! ChaFay has always been an immediately read/drop my TBR author! Her work is always amazing with complex characters and hard topics. This book is no different.

I don’t want to give away spoilers, I’m a yapper so this is hard. 🙃

🩸Relatable characters? Yes. To both. The SASS?! I was here for it. I knew from the moment the MMC said “Congratulations, you have eyes.” I was sat, I love him. Point blank period. Was he a bit dramatic? Also yes, but it’s fine. Isn’t that the point? The minute she called him a jackass, I folded… because honestly yeah. Yeah he is… I love their dynamic, is that toxic? Maybe, but I stand by it.
🩸The pacing was solid throughout and kept my attention from start to finish. I have a touch of the ADHD so if a book can get me to sit down and immerse myself in you know it’s good. 👏👏
🩸The PLOT - I don’t want to spoil, but yes. Immediately yes.
🩸Mental health representation? It’s there! In more ways than one. I love when books can do that without explicitly stating it. Let’s be honest, when a character struggles and we feel that struggle it hits ten times harder.
🩸It’s spicy! I’d say anywhere between 2 and 3 chili peppers. 🌶️ 🌶️ I’ve never been a good judge of spicy rating. So we’ll go with 2.5 🤭🫣 just know I was giggling and kicking my feet. I don’t want to take the element of surprise out, because that part was everything.

Anyway, five stars!

I don’t wanna talk about how fast I devoured this. I truly have a problem. Call me a vampire, because I inhaled it faster than a blood bag.

I’m trying to emotionally piece myself back together after finishing this. There were so many occasions that I didn’t believe the characters couldn’t lure me in any further but I was wrong every single time. So many powerful quotes. So much heartbreak.

Overall, Amazing read. Amazing concept.

This is an ARC that I just couldn’t wait to dive into the minute I learned our MMC is based on InuYasha.

A very cute Beauty and the Beast retelling, Cursed for Eternity is a quick, fun, spicy read with tragic characters you can’t help rooting for.

Being an ARC, I expected to see the typos and word choice errors/awkwardness, so those didn’t bother me. But I definitely think a stronger pass through for consistency (the verb tense shifts often) and pacing (we skip from her never learning his name to suddenly knowing it and being interested in his wellbeing; we skip from him not thinking a mortal could lift the curse to him not only being convinced she’s the answer but suddenly infatuated). I think if we got more scenes of that “in-between” of seeing their feelings develop over time the pacing would feel a lot more natural.

That said, this was a unique, darker take on a classic story and the nods to InuYasha with the lake being a gateway filled my heart with joy. It was a fun journey and I loved getting to know these characters.

I was heartbroken at that ending and desperately need a follow up to see if anything changes. I devoured this in a day so wrapped up in hope for Ace and Rhea. I can’t wait to see what else this author does.

This was actually pretty fun book. Start was a bit slow but when I got into it more it kept my curiosity on. I wanted to know what would happen. This definitely had beauty and beast vibes.

I think characters were pretty well done. And since there weren't that many characters it was easy to follow along.

I was bit confused by the end scene and would like to find out what it means. The ending also felt bit hurried, but it was still good.

Cursed For Eternity has a unique take on vampire meets human. When Rhea ends up in Elarion, the vampire land, she meets Ace, who is cursed. Ace has been a prisoner alone in his castle for centuries. No one is allowed in or out of the castle. It's an interesting, complex story. Ace and Rhea are fascinating characters that clash at first. I routed for them to get together for the entire book. I was surprised at the ending. It's a quick read. You'll enjoy.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Right so… I just finished this and I'm booking a plane to find the author and strangle her.

Cursed for Eternity follows Rhea and Ace in a story inspired by Beauty and the Beast. It's my favorite fairy tale, so of course I dived into this the moment I received the ARC. Considering it's also with vampires, do I need to explain myself more?

I have lots to say.

First off, I really liked the Beauty and the Beast elements. They were subtle but clearly present, and it really elevated the story for me.

Though, I'm glad that this book still had plenty of scenes and twists that made it unique on its own. I'm thinking of a particular scene with a cat. You have to read it to understand because this scene was absolute GOLD.

My favourite character is obviously Cyrus. Which leads me to my most important questions: will there be a sequel and is Cyrus single? And where can I find this magical lake? For research purposes only… obviously.

Rhea and Ace were lovely characters to follow, especially in the second part of the book where I felt there was the most development, not only individually but also together.

This is a bit of a shorter book, so it makes sense the romance went a bit fast. Personally not really my taste, but it didn't impact my overall experience.

I also really appreciate the subtle humor in this book, absolutely contradicting those few final chapters.
So much so for my good night rest.
Thanks, ChaFay.

Overall, I definitely recommend this. It's a quick and easy read, yet loaded with twists, emotions, and an unexpected storyline that turns extremely dark OUT OF NOWHERE. And then never goes light again.

And if you like Beauty and the Beast and vampires, then you'll definitely like the vibes of this book!

Received as an ARC read from the author as always I'm so grateful for the opportunity 🙏

Okay I'm going straight in honest with this one, This fell a bit flat for me I'm afraid.

In the beginning the FMC just irritated me , Rhea had such annoying attitude she sounded like a bratty teenager half the time. Her sense of entitlement when her and Ace first meet had me grinding my teeth!! Firstly who in any universe after finding yourself lost in the woods practically naked, stumbles across a creepy castle thinks yeah I'll just run myself a bath and make myself at home 🙄 then has the absolute cheek to be offended when the owner turns up and is pissed at your trespassing! I mean how very dare he tell you to leave 🤔

The characters went from not been able to stand each other to caring about each others wellbeing without any real significant moments to justify the switch.
The connection felt flat and forced.

Once the connection between the characters was there, I actually started to like them. I thought the hints at mental health and struggles with loneliness were done well. The dive into Ace and his past made me feel for the character and I was starting to root for their relationship then suddenly she leaves and the rest of the book felt rushed just to tie it up.

It's a real shame as I liked the vampire twist on beauty and the beast the delivery just didn't hit for me I'm sorry to say.

I received this book as an arc.

Beauty and the beast was my favourite Disney movie growing up (that and AristoCats - Thomas O’Malley ammi right!). So right from the bat I knew I would enjoy this story as it definitely gives BatB vibes, while also still being original and not just a complete retelling.
It’s a bit of a shorter book so the world building etc wasn’t there as much but it was still a decent amount of plot, setting etc.

The main characters being Rhea and Ace are so lovely. They were really well written and I loved reading them. There aren’t too many side characters either so you didn’t get lost trying to keep up. There was sass, banter, well written dialogue, the humour. It was so well done. I think being a shorter book also helped in the regards because it didn’t feel like the author was just writing pages to fill them, and meet a number count. So I felt like we got a lot more of both Rhea and Ace than I expected and I was so pleasantly surprised by this 😊

There was mental health representation as-well. Which I think was so good. Again being a shorter book I think the author did a great job of including this and not making it feel as if she was adding it just to add it. It felt like it was added in seamlessly and not just as a dump and here you go kinda add.

I genuinely enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it!!!

I received and Arc of this book and am happy to give an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, though did find it a little hard to connect with Rhea at the start because of her attitude and reactions to Ace. To me it seemed like she was rude and the way she acted was a little bit unbelievable and cringey. BUT, I am really glad I kept going with the story because I loved it.

I really liked Ace and seeing his relationship with Rhea blossom while working through his horrible past. Rhea learning about his past and helping him feel comfortable enough to share it was so beautiful. I loved their connection.

The magic Castle and different kinds of vampires were really cool and I would have liked to learn more about Ace's world.

I always like a HEA so I was a little disappointed, but I think it was well done.

I would definitely read a follow up book or one from the same world if there was one.

Tucker well and truly delivered with this book! From the characters to the gothic theme, every single point delivered.

Highlights:
🧛🏻 Vampires
🕶 Shadow daddy
🧭 Portal travel system

If you follow any of my reviews, you'll know that sad, soppy boys are my absolute favourite. So when I started reading from Aces POV, I was ecstatic. The self-loathing, depreciation, and punishment were divine to read. Delicious, in fact. Tucker wrote him perfectly, and I will not hear a single bad word said against him.

Rhea was a formidable FMC. She went through hell and still remained resilient and strong-willed. She didn't take any shit and handled herself with grace, even when falling apart. I really loved her and felt connected to her throughout the entire book.

The premise of the plot was fascinating, I don't think I've read a book similar to this one yet. It's unique, well developed, and really impressively done. Even if the ending did hurt my soul.

I really enjoyed this book. Definitely gives alice in wonderland/ beauty and the beast vibes. For being a shorter fantasy the characters and world building was great! i enjoyed the transition between the vampire world with the human world. Lets talk about how good the slow burn was!! I love how oblivious Ace was when it came to falling for Rhea. I love a sassy FMC. the banter between Ace and Rhea was gold. The way Ace was able to be vulnerable with Rhea was truly beautiful. Rhea definitely has a heart of gold.My heart broke for Rhea I hope she get to go back one day. she deserves to know what happened when she had to leave. I hope there is a second book with Cyrus. He was very intriguing and cocky 😂😂( in a good way) over all I really enjoyed reading this fantasy book!! I would definitely recommend this book to others.

🩸 Arc Review 🩸

Gripping and heartbreaking 💔 I read this in a matter of 3 hours and I'm completely wrecked. The story unfolds with Rhea in the human world when suddenly she's transported into Ace's world. Together they have to break the curse that holds Ace captive in his own home. This doesnt end in a hea, In fact it ends so sad and heartbreaking that honestly I may never recover. I really hope that this will become a full series continuing the story. Thank you for this opportunity to be apart of team and for unapologetically ripping out my heart and serving it to me on a silver platter. Highly recommend to anyone who loves beauty and the beast and loves having every emotion us as humans are capable of.

Recieved this as an arc from the auther but giving my honest opinion.

This was a fun, shorter read full of sass, banter, and twists i didnt expect. While I really enjoyed this book and its take on reimagining the beauty and the beast story, I would've loved a bit more resolution at the end, but alas not every story has a HEA. recommend for anyone looking for a quick read that will keep you drawn in from start to finish.
