Right Time, Right Place
Mallory Michaels has three rules she lives by:
Never drink a mimosa that’s less than ninety percent champagne.
Always have a plan—and a backup plan for the backup plan.
And never repeat your biggest mistake.
Her biggest mistake? A one night stand with Shane Evans—the most infuriating man she knows. It meant nothing. Just one reckless night she’d rather forget. That should’ve been the end of it. But when their mutual best friends put them on a job together, a powerful client offers Mallory the opportunity of a lifetime. But Shane slips up, putting them in a situation where they now have to pretend to be a couple in order for her to get this job. Seems simple enough, but now they’re stuck together for a week on a luxury yacht. Shared spaces. Forced smiles. Pretending they’re in love. Mallory and Shane have always been on the same page about only one thing—neither of them does relationships. Casual is safer. Cleaner. There’s just one problem, though. The longer they play the part, the more real it starts to feel, and the harder it becomes to pretend that one night between them was just a mistake.

“𝑫𝒐 𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒕,” 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔.
Forced proximity to fake dating, I couldn't get enough! Shane and Mallory have so much tension and chemistry and I really loved where this story went. It was emotional, heartfelt, and so much fun. The spicy scenes were hot (hello? That jetski 👀), I loved the side characters (Wayne!), and I'm excited to see where the Tidehaven series goes with the next character! The storyline with Wayne created depth to Mallory and knowing he's based off of Ali's real Uncle made it more touching.
I said it after her first book and I'm saying it again... Ali Morgans is a girls girl! She writes girl friendships that feel REAL.👏
Side note, the birth scene from Shane's POV was such a clever writing decision! I cried reading about Mallory and Cat's friendship during that monumental moment.
Be prepared to want a glass of champagne and to long for brunch at the beach!

I loved being back in Tidehaven! Shane and Mallory’s story did not disappoint, and I loved meeting all of the other couples, Sienna, and Gene! Wayne and Brad really added to Mallory’s depth of character and I loved seeing her grow throughout the story!! So excited for book 3!

“Do it for the plot” OMG what a good read for summer. Small town, fake dating, found family.. so very good! I was laughing and crying reading this! Looking forward to book 3 in 2027!

This was a fabulous summer read!! Book two focuses on Mallory and Shane, the best friends of Cat and Logan, and shows how you can spend all kinds of time around someone but still find ways to be surprised by them, in the best ways.
The FMC Mallory is given an opportunity to design, market and renovate a space for her best friends new bar. The catch is she’s got to do it alongside Shane. He’s Logan’s best friend, talented at construction and renovation, and happens to have had a one night stand with Mallory in the recent past. Mallory enlists the help of her uncle Wayne, a designer and her strongest support and dearest relative. Wayne and Shane hit it off, much to her great annoyance. She and Shane also need to work with Gene Harrison, the best vendor for the windows and doors in town. At their meeting he assumes that Mallory and Shane are a couple. Inviting them on his yacht to workshop ideas and meet more business contacts, Mallory and Shane are in a forced proximity fake dating situation and discover that maybe there’s more to one another than they thought. Their vulnerabilities and emotional connection build alongside the sexual tension and hard hitting spice and watching them fall for each other is a real pleasure.
The MMC, Shane, works hard to do right by his best friend/brother Logan. He’s a truly great dude, a talented worker, and due to his own past, tries super hard to stay unattached. In supporting Mallory when creepy Gene comes to offer his expertise, Gene is moved by nostalgia for his late wife and their ventures together. He offers to invest in the property by doing the windows and doors and custom work for free, in support of Mallory and Shane’s “love” and the two commit to the charade. Once on the yacht, it turns out Gene’s daughter Sienna is aboard and since she’s been hooking up with Shane regularly, he’s sure there’s going to be drama. Shane learns a whole lot about himself and about Mallory in close proximity, and his metamorphosis into a man who is all in for her is both adorable and inspiring.
So good! I highly recommend this contemporary romance series!!

Book 2 centers around Cat’s best friend, Mallory and Logan’s best friend, Shane. The two always bickered and the tension was 🥵 and it was hinted that the two hooked up. I always love a good, “let’s pretend that never happened” moment when you know FULL well that they can’t stop thinking about that night.
Now, the two of them have no choice but to work together on a project. Even though Mallory doesn’t want to work with Shane, she’s doing it for her bestie.
Tension funs high but the stream is off the charts. What turns into them having forced proximity at the work sight quickly turns into them fake dating on a yacht.
Things get 💦WET💦 for Mallory and Share on that yacht and a jet ski too.
Ali has done it again with writing a love story that made me giggle but also tore my heart apart. She does a great job touching on subjects that may hit home for others, but need to be normalized and discussed.
Knowing that Wayne was based off her late uncle, broke me. Love Wayne so much.
I am also excited to see where this series will go next. Now with the addition of a new character, things got emotional, but hopefully she will have her HEA in the series.
Thank you so much, Ali. I feel so lucky that you allowed me to read and review your book. I will be stalking your page for updates on your next book 🤣

I could not put it down! Shane and Mallory were so relatable, and their chemistry had me hooked from the start. I loved the enemies-to-lovers tension mixed with the fake dating storyline — it was the perfect combination of emotional and fun.
Ali Morgans has a way of writing that makes you feel like you are living the relationship right alongside the characters. Every detail pulls you into Tidehaven Creek, and now I’m completely obsessed with Champagne Shores. Honestly, it sounds like somewhere I’d want to hang out in real life.
The book had just the right amount of spice, heart, banter, and small-town charm. If you love romance with tension, relatable characters, and a story that keeps you turning pages way too late at night, this one is absolutely worth the read!

They couldn’t stand each other. (Except that one night).
But their besties are together (hi Cat + Logan!) so they have to tolerate each other, because, found family.
Now they’re working together on a new project. Oh and there’s a yacht. And fake dating. And tension. And banter.
Need I say more? Mallory and Shane’s story was so fun to read! I love when characters who have sworn off commitment find their person, even more when it’s both of them. This story had depth and emotional impact, it was also just a fun story to read, had the right amount of spice- well done Ali! Thank you for letting me read this arc!
You guys can read this one now on KU!

After reading the first book of this series I was really excited to get to this one with Shane and Mallory ☺️ there book is the perfect summer read to have with you by the pool or on the beach.
The beginning of this book was simmering with sexual tension and brewing chemistry which I so enjoyed. Once these two reached the yacht trip it became so much more fun to read. The jet ski scene was definitely inspiring and Sunset Tanya is someone everyone needs in their life 😂 I loved seeing how Shane and Mal relationship transformed and how perfect they are for each other 🥰
Ali Morgans, you are doing the damn thing as a writer and I’m super excited to see what’s next in this series!!

YAAASSSS for more Shane!
I’ve been impatiently waiting for Shane + Mallory’s story since finishing “This Time, Maybe.” Super thankful Ali Morgans wrote this book and gave ME more Shane! He was such a sexy cool character in book one and I lovedddd seeing his love for Mallory play out.
Mallory is so freaking hilarious and relatable. Loved her relationship with Uncle Wayne! He was a precious gem of a character.

On the edge of my seat the whole time
Ali has such a way of captivating her readers to feel like we’re on the edge of our seats to get to the next word let alone page. Maybe it’s the incredibly well written characters or how obvious the amount of thought and care went into details or just the fact that i find myself giggling at a man’s internal thoughts?? i’ll be SAT for the third book, it simply can’t come soon enough

As with her debut (and first book of this series "This Time, Maybe"), I adore how she writes her men, and how she centers her friendships in "Right Time, Right Place." All of her characters - their pasts, trauma, inner monologues, the banter - are real and so relatable. And yet again, she weaves real, deep issues/topics into the story with realism, but also grace. Favorite 'new' Character? Uncle Wayne, hands down. I can't wait to read book 3! 🫶🏼

How many times did I cry during this book? I’d say about five times, and that’s a lot for me. I loved coming back to Tidehaven and hanging out with the crew again, they feel like friends of my own now. And Shane and Mallory? Their journey together was full of heart, spice, and overcoming their fears. I loved every second of it. I can’t wait to come back to Tidehaven again! This is definitely an auto-buy series for me now 🖤

Absolutely loved it! I devoured the first book in this series, so when I heard book two would focus on Mallory and Shane, I was counting down the days until I could read it. This story had the perfect balance of spice, heart, and falling in love when you least expect it. The characters pulled me in from the very first page, and I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a fantastic summer read. Mal and Shane's chemistry was so obvious from the get go but the back and forth banter was juicy. The yacht trip was so entertaining to watch unfold. The added side characters were fun (looking at you Tanya) as well as the introduction of new characters. The found family aspect of this book is one of my favourite things!!
