I started it thinking it would be just another coaching book, but it delivers something much more meaningful… an invitation to truly feel life itself.
The book does not attack any religion. Instead, it proposes a reflection on how we are living our own lives, often trapped in a constant state of “managing” life, worried about things that haven’t even happened yet. The book teaches you to stop, breathe, notice your own presence, and actually live the moment.
When it comes to faith, it offers an interesting perspective… the way we see God and life has largely been shaped by the people around us. This directly influences our self-judgment. The emptiness that many feel may arise from the exhausting effort of sustaining the idea that we have been excluded, that God is distant, and that we need to struggle to deserve His closeness, when in fact, that distance never existed.
Another strong point of the book is how it approaches emotions. It teaches that we should not ignore them. Feeling anger, for example, is not wrong, it is a signal from the body and the mind. The important thing is to understand that feeling is different from acting. Many people believe there are only two options: repress or act impulsively. The book shows a path in between… to feel consciously, understand what is happening, and only then decide how to act. In the end, the message is: thinking is not acting… it is being human.
Li ele devagar de propósito. Por se tratar de um livro que exige reflexão. Gostei bastante da leitura, o livro é muito bem escrito. Que cativa desde o início. Fiz tantas anotações e meditações em cima dele. Recomendo muito para todos. ♥️
