Alderian is an A’aruin, a guardian spirit bound by a luminous Silver Thread to Augustine, the human he has watched over for lifetimes. Their connection is eternal, yet cruelly each is fated to forget the other, never to meet in waking life.

But when Augustine wakes from a dream remembering Alderian’s name, the ancient Law of Oblivion fractures. Suddenly, she can see the Silver Threads linking every soul to its guardian.

For Alderian, this breach is both hope and if the High Council discovers their anomaly, both could be erased from existence. As Augustine’s new sight draws Shadows and danger, she must navigate a world where her classmates are not what they seem and her own heart is torn between the impossible love for her guardian and the ordinary life slipping away.

In a world where memory is forbidden and love is a risk, how far will two souls go to reclaim what was once lost?
"The Silver Thread" is a sweeping tale of forbidden love, spiritual rebellion, and the courage to choose destiny over fate.

Simple and fulfilling story with focus on beautiful emotional build. It had a “Lady Hawke” vibe to it: a couple that can’t ever be together because when one is a human, the other will be the guardian angel and, as a human, they cannot see the angel.

Well…. And now our story starts with the question: so what happens if the human form, who is not supposed to have any prior memories, remembers the angel’s name and can see him? What happens when the angel, who is only supposed to act as a guardian, start feeling love? (which is considered a weak form of emotion for a certain higher up angel in charge of the silver threads)

Augustine and Alderian were a beautiful couple and, gods… my heart felt for them!! True unconditional love, profound relationship!! I’m very curious to see what will happen now that they are together again for the first time since whatever happened that we still don’t know much about it. And given the revelations of who Augustine is!!

Oh. My. God.

I was not expecting this at all!!!

This book starts quite like a lovely, cosy romantasy. We see Augustine navigating college when she discovers she now able to see her guardian angel, Alderian
Their chemistry is incredible and the romance is so swoon worthy.

What I didn’t expect … that the further you progress into this story .. the complex it gets!
I genuinely couldn’t put it down .. I just needed answers!!!

The world building was insane in the latter half and opens up worlds of new directions for the sequel!!!

I… I can’t believe it’s finished 😭😭😭 I desperately need more!! I need more of Aldana! What a bad ass in the making!!!

The Silver Thread completely pulled me in with its simple yet incredibly effective writing style. Instead of getting lost in overly complicated fantasy worldbuilding, the story focuses on what truly matters: the characters, their emotions, and the hauntingly beautiful connections between them. Reincarnation, angels, humanity, love, yearning, and deception all weave together into a story layered with suspense where no one is truly who, or what, they seem. Every reveal left me questioning everything, and that cliffhanger ending left me eager for more. I need the next book immediately.

I am a sucker for romances that transcend time and space, so going into this I was excited for the characters, the world, and the plot. I really wanted to love this one more, but it just couldn’t hook me enough. Thank you to the author and publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!
