I was a little hesitant at first, since this book contains four separate stories and I didn’t know if they would feel rushed as a result, but that definitely didn’t happen!

With each new story I was thoroughly convinced it was my favorite and so invested in the characters that I couldn’t imagine liking the next story more. However with each new story I was proven wrong!

The amazing insight into these paranormal creatures, the politics between vampires and hunters, and various shifter communities alike, was so thrilling and addictive.

The author described the characters and their backstories with such intricate details that you truly stepped inside their shoes(or paws) and felt what they felt.

I was swept up into these tales so thoroughly that I dreamt about them and woke up each day eager to jump back into the book and see what magic was woven next and what trials the various couples would have to overcome!

This is paranormal romance done right, and is fast paced, spicy, and immensely entertaining, while also containing so much heart. Can’t wait to read more!

The Vampire Huntress

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This one follows our FMC, Sophia, a vampire hunter and our MMC, Viktor, a powerful vampire. Sophia and Viktor are forced to work together when there is a surge in the unauthorized turning of new vampires. While working together to eliminate the new vampires, Sophia runs into Sebastian, the vampire responsible for the unauthorized new vampires, and he marks her. The story progresses from there with the hunter, Sophia, becoming the hunted. This one was fast paced and spicy. I loved Sophia as an FMC. Sophia was witty, strong, and owned her desires. Viktor was a cinnamon roll for Sophia and would do anything for her. The spice was hot and frequent. The scene in the park was *chef‘s kiss*! I recommend checking this one out!

Obeying the Bear

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️.5

This one follows our FMC, Emma, and our MMC, Brandt, grizzly bear shifter mates. When Brandt‘s father, the alpha of their bear clan, meets his untimely demise, Emma, who had previously abandoned her clan and mate, returns for the funeral. Once Emma returns, she realizes that her heart has always belonged to Brandt and he welcomes her back into his life; however, matters get complicated when another member of the clan meets his own untimely demise and Brandt is challenged for the position of alpha. Second chance is not usually my favorite trope, but with this story, I didn’t mind as much, since the plot addressed it and then moved on. The spice in this one was well written. The mystery had me flying through the pages. And that ending? Perfection!

Releasing the Bear

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️🌶️

This one follows our MMC, Brennan, a grizzly bear shifter, and our FMC, Scarlett, a wolf shifter. Brennan and his bear become drawn to Scarlett and her wolf during the events in Obeying the Bear and he inserts himself into her life, only to learn that Scarlett and her wolf feel the same way about him. When a video is leaked compromising the shifter community to the humans, Brennan and Scarlett are paired up to correct the situation by their alphas, during which time fight to come to terms with being mates despite being different species. I loved this one more than Obeying the Bear, as Scarlett was such a strong, take-no-BS, alpha FMC. Scarlett fought for her mate and their bond at every turn. Brennan was also a cinnamon roll for her, yet knew how to be dirty between the sheets, and I was here for it! I loved Brennan and Scarlett’s bond and was rooting for them from page one.

Catching the Bear

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️🌶️.5

This one follows our MMC, Bo, a grizzly bear shifter and our FMC, Kenzie, a witch. In a continuation of the storyline that started in Releasing the Bear, Kenzie is brought into the fold by Major to work with Bo to gain the support of the local mountain lions and coyotes for the ISC‘s latest proposal. Once working together, Kenzie awakens Bo‘s bear and they quickly come to the realization that they are mates; however, Bo has a notorious reputation as a womanizer that prevents Kenzie from immediately giving in to their bond. I loved the banter between Bo and Kenzie and how she truly changed his ways for the best. Bo was a cinnamon roll for Kenzie and it was adorable. The spice was done very well and I could feel the depth of Bo and Kenzie‘s bond. And the bonus short story, Spellbound? It had me cackling and then crying happy tears for the pair.

This series offers a fun mix of paranormal romance, pack politics, and ongoing mysteries that keep the story moving from one book to the next.

The first book introduces Sophia, who was born into a family of vampire hunters. Recently, there has been a sudden surge of new vampires appearing, and Sophia’s group is trying to determine who is responsible—especially since these vampires are not being created through the normal process. The mystery surrounding their origin sets up an intriguing storyline and makes for an engaging start to the series.

In the second book, the focus shifts to Emma and Brandt, who have been mates for years. Brandt is expected to become the next alpha of the pack, and the constant pressure surrounding that role eventually becomes too much for Emma. She quietly leaves the pack—and Brandt—in the middle of the night and spends the next year traveling. When she learns that Brandt’s father, the current alpha, has died, she returns to the pack for the funeral. Being back forces her to face the life and the mate she left behind, and she must decide whether she is simply visiting or if she is ready to confront her past. While this book feels shorter than the first, it still provides an engaging continuation of the story, though more depth and character development would have been welcome.

The third book follows Scarlet, the wolf pack’s enforcer, and Brennan, who manages the business affairs for the bear pack. Their inner animals are convinced they are meant to be mates, even if the two of them are not entirely prepared to accept it. Because readers are already familiar with many of the characters and the pack dynamics, it is easy to jump back into the story. This installment is a quick, engaging read that keeps your attention while exploring how Scarlet and Brennan navigate the connection their animals insist is inevitable.

The fourth book centers on Bo, the last unmated brother in the Callaghan family. Bo has been working with Major to explore the possibility of revealing the existence of shifters to humans, but progress has been slow. To help move things forward, Major brings in Kenzie, a witch, to offer her perspective. Bo never expected to find a mate—or even want one—but everything changes when he meets Kenzie. As the two travel together to meet with different packs to discuss going public, they must also decide what their growing connection means for their future. Like the others, this is a shorter story that adds to the overall world while giving Bo his own moment in the spotlight.

Overall, this series is an enjoyable collection of fast-paced paranormal stories. Each book focuses on different characters while continuing the broader storyline, making it easy for readers to stay invested in both the relationships and the evolving world of shifters, witches, and hunters.

This is a boxset featuring the stories of Sophia (the focused vampire huntress) as well as Brandt (the reluctant alpha), Brennan (the hopeless romantic), and Bo (the womanizing playboy) in their search for happiness and love in the Alaskan landscape. For centuries they have remained hidden, the shifter community always on the lookout for dangers, both foreign and domestic. But when danger comes, without the support and stability of a mate, disaster is the expected outcome. Emma, Scarlet and McKenzie bring the emotional intensity that is needed to balance the physical strength presented by the males.
I have previous read these stories as they were independently released about ten(ish) years ago.

This was such a fun and fast-paced set of paranormal romances. Each story is a stand-alone but they're all interconnected by family and plot. Expect to find yourself glued to your reader as you follow each couple along to their fab and spicy HEA, amidst action, danger, politics, intrigue, mystery and romance. I loved flowing from one book to the next to see how things would unfold in this well detailed world. Good fun!

This books 1-4. Book one is a vampire paranormal with other shifters. Books 2-4 are each about a different bear shifter brother that you meet in book 1. I liked books 1 and 3 most. I think they just had the better FMC.
