June Whitaker’s journey west begins with a simple letter—and a marriage to a man she has never met.
When she answers a mail-order bride advertisement from Sheriff Nathaniel Kincaide of Jasper Ridge, Wyoming Territory, June expects a new life on the frontier. What she does not expect is a town troubled by missing freight, disputed land claims, and questions no one seems eager to answer.
Nathaniel Kincaide has sworn to keep order in Jasper Ridge, but lately the pieces no longer fit together. As tensions grow in the small western town, both he and his new bride must decide who can be trusted.
Sometimes the truth hides in the smallest details… and sometimes love appears where it was least expected.
A sweet Christian historical romance filled with faith, courage, and frontier intrigue.
A very enthralling tale with a female Pinkerton agent, a major part in solving the crime. Quite an interesting take on mail-order brides and an interesting twist. Our sheriff is very amenable to her participation, even before he knows of her job. One has the thrill of skullduggery that doesn't get too evil. She is quite an intelligent detective who knows what to look for. Great writing.
